The meat at this old-world butcher shop is so red and juicy it looks like it’s just been primped for a photo shoot. I mean, if there were a beauty contest for meat the cuts on display at the aptly named Bonne Viande would definitely take home the crown. Everything looks so ridiculously sumptuous here, including the rotisserie chickens with their perfectly crisp, golden hue, that’s it’s difficult to decide which piece to put on your plate for dinner. On a recent visit I cracked for two thick rounds of rump steak that were heaven once cooked up. I always forget how satisfying and inexpensive steak can be when you make it yourself, especially when your meat comes from a local gem like this place. The two steaks came to less than 10 €, served with salad and some roasted potatoes on the side it was a totally affordable, quick and easy dinner that I plan on reproducing more often than I probably should.
