Café de Flore

Absolutely the epitome of a Parisienne Café. Lovely dining experience and excellent people watching, and best of all, their Kir royale is made with Moët! Fabulous.

I went here for breakfast because of the history associated with the café. I was sort of disappointed in the café itself…
First, it was about 10 am and they were sold out of several types of breakfast pastries. Second, a basic cappuccino cost 7.20 euros, which is insane (it was the same size as other cappuccinos across the city going for 3 – 4 euros). My husband and I spent 37 euros on a croque madame, a brioche roll, an orange juice and a cappuccino.
Go for the experience, but I wouldn’t expect much in terms of a quality breakfast.

If you don’t mind a pricey midday snack, you’ll find a lot to like about Café de Flore.
Few things are as pleasurable as watching the world go by while sipping on wine and nibbling on foie gras in this picturesque area of Saint Germain. The neighborhood is filled with beautiful architecture, colorful locals, and plenty of other sights to catch your gaze, so sitting on the outdoor patio has to be the best way to experience this sprawling al fresco destination. The neighborhood is pretty well known as a refuge of famous American literary expats, so there’s a lot to love about simply taking a breather to break up your day.
In addition to the vittles mentioned earlier, my lovely lady and I shared an excellent leek salad with walnuts, tomatoes, walnuts, poached eggs, and Roquefort cheese. Served warm, this was a special salad that I hope I can track down stateside. Plenty of nicoise salads around these parts, but have yet to run into a leek salad like what was experienced at Café de Flore. If you’re into something different, give that a try.
A perfectly fine place to spend an hour to refuel, catch up with friends, or read a book with a glass of wine or espresso.

A recommendation for breakfast from a friend led us here for a quick bite at lunch. Whoa the prices are steep! It’s a swank area and clearly very touristy. The interior is lovely and the waiters are decked out in tuxes, so I get it. For all that you expect great or even just good food. But the French onion soup was not beefy at all and had barely any flavor. The croque Monsieur had a very very thin slice of ham and the bread wasn’t buttered. Overall very disappointing.

They´ve offered me the best hot milk chocolate I had the opportunity to savour so far, so they´ve got me, furthermore it has cost just around EUR ⁷⁄₈ and it is made for two people ;)
The monsieur taking care of us was both professional and funny-​extraordinary service. The only disadvantage of the place, when you´re ready to pay for a fine experience, is it gets crowded fairly often perhaps.

Perfect place to sit and people watch on a rainy April day. Quintessential Parisian bistro. Quick service and free wifi. Both a must have while here. The French onion soup was delicious. Not as heavy as some I’ve had before.
Croque Monsieur was gooey and perfectly done. Quiche Lorraine is a Must have.
Our server was quick and understood the order even in our broken French.
Great place… no frills… just typical French Bistro.

On a rainy day a necessary stop at Café de Flore!
Fast service, free internet, happy husband.
First of all out waiter was super nice, the place gets packed but service runs smooth. Super fast service maybe is so they can get people in and out but at no time did we feel rushed.
I had the hot chocolate and from all the Parisian hot chocolate this one comes out to be my favorite one, to eat a had me a super rich tasting lemon pie.
Hubby had the eggs with bacon (which in the states is Ham) and café au lait. He like the food and the coffee is the only one that was just ok.
Would definitely return to this place on our next Parisian trip

Although I can’t write for the full dining experience, I came here for my Hemingway bar tour and was highly impressed by the service.
It was for just a drink but the waiter really struck up a conversation and decided the Pariasn stereotypes for a surly waiter.
I started off joking about wanting the glass of Pouilly Fume that the winner of their literary contest gets once a day, and he told me which one it was and that I shou do practice my French if I ever want to win that.
The time was great and hospitable, might be a one off with the waiter I had, but who cares, five stars for my personal experience!

Es un café tipico parisino aqui Breton se juntaba a discutir con sus pares… mesitas redondas, tipica de paris, sillitas tipicas, nada fuera de lo normal, eso si… un café que en cualquier lado te cobran 1 euro aca vas a pagar el nombre del lugar… estas literalmente sentado en un lugar con mucha historia, no dejes de ir, date el gusto. tomate una cerveza que viene con papitas !!. La atencion de sus mozos es impresionante de buena, y eso que siempre esta super completo el lugar… pero no se les pasa nada!

On né peut pas passer à Saint Germain sans s’arrêter au Café de Flore.
Le chocolat chaud est effectivement très bon. Les pâtisseries sont bien réalisées.
Le cadre est enchanteur. Le service est correct.

Café de Flore, one of the oldest and most famous cafés on the Boulevard Saint-​Germain, is definitely worth visiting if you have the chance while in Paris. I visited on a warm, sunny day, and luckily found a seat outside to enjoy a glass of wine and people watching. Prices are a bit high, but it’s worth it for the experience.

Grabbed an open table outside. It wasn’t exceptionally busy but we sat and waited for someone to take our order. And waited. And waited. And then we got up and left.

Go here for the novelty of sitting in a famous Parisian café, don’t come here for the quality of food or for reasonable prices. My Unilocaling is all about helping manage expectations. The 3 stars isn’t because it’s a «bad» place, it’s just not all it’s perceived to be. Great place to people watch and have a snack with coffee, tea, or some wine… but be warned that this is one of the most touristy places you’ll eat. This is not a locals spot.
If you’re hungry and just dying to eat, you won’t get completely ripped off but just know it’s average food with a big price tag. Take a picture out front and post it on Facebook to cap off the tourist experience. ;)

La quête du chocolat chaud m’a emmené dans ce petit bout de Paris et de sa culture avec au menu, globalement pas mal de bonnes choses et un service à la Française comme je les aime, juste ce qu’il faut de courtoisie, mais pas trop non plus !
Le chocolat chaud? Au dessus de Ladurée, à la différence près qu’ici, on peut aussi le prendre au matin, très très tôt, qu’il y a une terrasse digne d’une terrasse… par contre, pour les prix, on se rappelle vite du fait que l’on est à St-​Germain des Prés…

My review is based on a simple experience I had with my husband today at Café Flore. I absolutely love Paris and we were recommended this café particularly for their hot chocolate. So we stopped by after dinner and ordered their «Chocolat Speciale Flor»…
Wow. I was just amazed at how good it was. I was so content, ecstatic even. On this super cold day, we just relaxed with that lovely hot chocolate, sitting outside the café under the heaters that are typical of French cafes.
Overpriced undoubtedly, but oh so worth it. Would I pay it again? Yes. Am I rich? No.
But I consider things like these a special treat and with the French experience its really just worth it.
Please come here.

It’s always tricky to find somewhere to eat after you get off a plane and just arrive at your hotel. However this café seemed to be the perfect place. Luckily it was right outside our hotel but more strangely it was open at 1:30am that was more the advantage.
As me and my friend were starving we got the quiche Lorraine which was to die for good. I also got a Caesar Salad which was strange because normally it’s with chicken but they used pork belly regardless it was really very nice. My friend got the profiteroles which were delicious and looked fabulous.
The aperol spritz I ordered was strange as i think it had too much prosecco and not enough aperol. However it didn’t really annoy me as it was so late anyway I just needed a cocktail of some sort. The service was very good and the scrambled eggs on toast was a very nice way to end the night. It was especially pleasing that the staff were so kind and efficient at such a late hour.
Come here if can afford to splash a few extra euros, such as a € 22 salad.

I got the black tea $ 6.50 but I drank like 3 – 4 glasses so it was worth it. They give you sugar and a complimentary mini chocolate.
I also got the duck foie gras $ 25. It comes with two pieces of toast and some mixed greens. I love foie gras so I really enjoyed this!!! It’s not completely filling but I don’t think it was meant to be.
My only issue was that I saw a mouse run through but I was sitting in the outside tent so maybe that’s way… That was NOT OKAY but otherwise this place is not bad. Free Wi-​FI.

Ok. I totally feel ripped off here.
I came here for a simple breakfast for 2.
I ordered 1 baguette, 2 hard boiled eggs, 1 French onion soup, 1 coffee, and 1 tea.
The waiter mis-​understood the entire order and brought out 2 baguette, 2 SOFT boiled eggs, 1 French onion soup, 1 coffee, and 1 tea. The soft boiled egg and French onion soup came with bread of their own. When everything came out, we had enough bread to feed 5 people. The waiter should have known better.
I was expecting my bill to be about 20 euro but guess what? My bill came out to 57.60 euro for a sub-​par meal. The hard boiled egg were 2.50 euro each while the soft boiled came out to be 12.20 euro each. For this cost, I rather go to Four Seasons Hotel and put my money towards an excellent meal.
The waiter should have made a recommendation but used the language barrier excuse to just shrug everything off. I personally think he should have adjusted the bill for his mid-​understanding.
Like I said, I personally would avoid this place if you are especially traveling. Cost is high, quality is mediocre, service was disappointing.
BTW, WHAT AM I SUPPOSE TO DO WITH ALL THE LEFT OVER BREAD? If I wanted this much bread I would have gone to a bakery.

CAFE de FLORE is a café, meaning a place where one drinks COFFEE. It is NOT a RESTAURANT. Many writers who later became famous (e. g. Simone de Beauvoir and Jean-​Paul Sartre) used to spend a great part of the day during the winter there as their rented rooms had no heat and Café de Flore did. To my knowledge, Hemingway was not a patron. He favored places on Blvd. Montparnasse where the emphasis was on consuming alcoholic beverages.
Up until a few years ago, the only food (other than breakfast croissants) was something like the traditional «Croque Monsieur» (basically a grilled ham and cheese sandwich), or with a fried egg on top – «Croque Madame). Nowadays, many French are eating lighter meals (really snacks) at lunch time and other items have been added to the menu – mostly sandwiches, however. (There are other offerings but they are expensive and not that good for the price. If you want to eat REAL FOOD at the same price, go to LIPP across the street but NOT at peak lunch or dinner hours as it is PACKED then). Also offered at FLORE are a variety of pastries to accompany coffee in the late afternoon.
My favorite is the «chocolat viennois» (a pot of rich, but not overly so, hot chocolate accompanied by a large glass of freshly whipped cream). The chocolate mixed with the cream makes two cups. On a recent month’s stay in Saint-​Germain, my husband and I went several times a week to share a pot and read the newspaper around 10:00 or 11:00 PM. (The café stays open until 2:00 AM). It’s a lovely way to end a busy day.
BTW, if you want to «people-​watch» LES DEUX-​MAGOTS, a few yards away, has a better view of the square from the chairs and tables outside. Go after lunch time, order coffee and maybe a dessert and sit as long as you like. «Chair-​time» is what you are paying for more than the coffee. If that is the only thing you want, go to a place where you can drink it standing up at the bar. It will cost you half.

I had to see what all the hype was about and I’m not impressed.
The croissant was good but you can get them just as good anywhere in Paris.

6.5 euro for a packet of tea in an overcrowded café.
I would have given it one star, but I got a piece of chocolate at the end, and you’re paying for the history of the place.

You’re in the 6^th, so you have a few things to check off the list and this is one of them. Yes, long wait, touristy, but you kind of have to. So go ahead, cheese it up, and get the old standards: Onion soup, a croque madame, and some wine. They were pricey, but didn’t disappoint. Also ordered chicken with tomatoes because I can’t resist the old standards. Enjoy the people watching and revel in being a satisfied tourist!

Das Café wird in jedem Reiseführer empfohlen und ist auch einen Blick wert. Das Angebot an Speisen und Getränken ist erwartbar und alles andere als außergewöhnlich. Die Kellner sind versiert, schnell, angemessen freundlich. — Und trotz allem kommt kein wirklich gutes Gefühl auf. Es sind eben nur Touristen.

I come to Paris often and when I visit, I ALWAYS come here for lunch or brunch. I have never been for dinner but this place is pure Paris. Yes it’s very famous and many famous people have come here but the food is great and if the weather is good enough, you can sit outside and enjoy and people watch.
The food is nothing spectacular nor is it over the top but it is pretty good. You can order pretty much whatever you want and if you like their dish ware, you can come here and buy whatever you want.
Sometimes there is a wait so be prepared to wait if you want to sit on the patio or outside. There is also indoor seating upstairs and downstairs.

Undoubtedly, if you’ve stumbled upon Café de Flore reviews, you already know of its reputation. Yes, it’s well-​known. I know Café de Flore has been in Gossip Girl, and it’s probably been in a dozen more tv shows and movies. But you know what? There’s more to this place than just its fame.
Personally, I came for the hot chocolate — ranked on some internet list as being one of the best. I wouldn’t say it’s the best, but it’s perfect for my tastes. Unlike Angelina’s and some other hot chocolates I’ve had here in Paris, Café de Flore’s isn’t too rich. It’s milky and chocolatey but not overly so. This café is perfect upscale place to get coffee or hot chocolate with a friend and just hang out. I’ve come twice and walked by here at least a dozen times. It’s always packed full of people of all ages, talking, drinking, and just relaxing looking out onto the beautiful Saint-​Germain neighborhood.
If you come expecting more than a charming, bustling place to grab a drink with a friend for a few hours, you might be disappointed. Their food is expensive, and at 7 €, their hot chocolate is a bit steep too. But when you take into account the ambiance, the view of the Paris streets from the little tables on the wraparound enclosed terrace, and the fact that it’s one of the most popular places around, it’s well worth the stop.

Donnez-​vous des airs farauds, plastronnez, gloire à l’étiquette. Du zèle pour sa gloriole. Amantes affublées de parures, empestez le dédain, rendez votre ennui sec et boursouflé, que la pose et les minauderies soient pour vous un exercice délicieux. Même aujourd’hui Célimèné a cédé sa place aux rombières. Auprès d’elles, des touristes en harnais de randonneur font grand cas d’un tel théâtre, en se répétant qu’ils goûtent ici la sève de Paris. Assis quelque part dans ce poulailler, Jean-​Paul Sartre se fend la poire. Les consommations? Qui vous a dit qu’on y venait pour boire un verre ou, pire, déjeuner?

Bön le café de flore est un incontournable certes … MAIS il n’est pas du tout à la hauteur de sa réputation: le service y est tout à fait détestable les serveurs né sont ni aimable ni à votre écoute. Commander et c’est tout … Au vue des plats de nos voisins nous avons simplement bu un thé … Pour un club sandwich hors de prix et une salade niçoise tout droit sorti d’une boîte … Ça ira on s’en passera !
Bref allez y boire un verre histoire de dire «oui j’ai été au flore «mais honnêtement … On fait tellement mieux ailleurs le nom en moins le service et la qualité en plus

Je m’en souviens y être allée en juin 2012 simplement car c’était un lieu mythique, le repère de Jean-​Paul Sartre et de Simone de Beauvoir (dont j’aime beaucoup les romans).
Je né vais pas répéter tout ce qui a été dit auparavant mais pour résumer: les serveurs sont habillés en «noeud pap’ „et un café coûte la peau des fesses. Je n’y reviendrai pas deux fois ! Et quand j’y étais, c’était blindé de „pseudo-​bobo-​écrivains“ qui étalaient leurs „pseudo-​culture-​du-​vent“. Enfin, ils devraient simplement avouer que“ papa-​maman» s’occupent de tout et qu’ils n’auront jamais à lever le petit doigt en or pour avoir quelque chose dans leurs «vies-​vides».

Je suis assez mitigé à propos de cet endroit, s’il a une dimension histoire (que j’ignorais avant que l’ami que j’y ai retrouvé né me le dise), j’aurais pu deviner à la fréquentation et à l’habillement des serveurs. On se retrouve dans un lieu de «luxe» de Paris typique de la capitale donc. Par chance je n’ai pas eu à attendre car on m’avait gardé une place mais les espaces sont assez exiguës et les gens attendent à l’entrée pour être assis. Comme on peut s’y attendre les prix sont très élevés, mais le chocolat et les thés de qualité. Je né suis pas habitué à ce type d’établissement et j’ai même été surpris par la petite serviette qui sert à tenir la théière.
Malgré tout, le service n’est pas excessivement désagréable bien qu’en train de courir, une expérience raisonnable, à faire une fois pour la dimension historique; je pense que l’on peut trouver mieux à Paris.

Ah le Flore… Mais oui le Flore quoi !!! La réputation de ce lieu n’est plus à faire, il fait presque parti de l’histoire de Paris, de son patrimoine littéraire et cinématographique.
Voilà voilà… A part ça, pas de remise en cause non? Bah non…
Je me demande comment l’esprit bistrot a-​t-​il pu disparaitre à ce point? Et je me demande ce qu’on peut finalement aimer ici.
Principalement la faute à des tarifs exorbitants, totalement déconnectés de ce qui arrive finalement sur les tables… Le pire étant les desserts, la carte allant jusqu’à proposer une part d’Opéra à 15 euros… Mais sérieux les mecs vous fissurez !!!
Ces prix sont clairement faits pour attirer une certaines clientèle, touristique ou bourgeoise… Oh bingo, ça marche à merveille ! C’est ainsi qu’on se retrouve dans un bistrot fréquentée par une vieille bourgeoisie française, très rive gauche… Désolé mais moi je né m’y retrouve pas… Parfois je comprends pourquoi les bobos finissent par bouder ces lieux, et pourtant je suis le premier à les allumer quand ils vont bouffer des cheesecakes à presque 10 euros la part…
Venu pour une petite pause gourmande, j’avoue né pas avoir tellement apprécié l’endroit que j’avais pourtant déjà fréquenté de nombreuses années auparavant. Soyons cash, je n’aime pas la déco banale et ces banquettes rouges qui piquent les yeux. Je n’aime pas non plus les tables et l’espace exigu qui gênent toujours le passage des serveurs. Pfff, c’est juste fatiguant.
Parlons des serveurs, sirupeux à souhait, en faisant des tonnes, mais qui au final mettent 3 plombes pour venir nous encaisser, alors que la salle est à peine remplie.
A 7 euros le chocolat chaud Flore, qui est bon sans n’avoir rien d’extraordinaire, autant aller dans un vrai salon de thé de grand standing.
Ah j’oubliais presque… le pompon… On voit un serveur qui vide les bouteilles dans une autre… Même si je né sais pas ce qu’ils en font, c’est juste pas classe, vraiment pas classe…

M’as-tu vu au Flore?
De passage à Paris avec une amie qui désirait visiter Saint-​Germain, nous nous sommes arrêtées au Café de Flore. Nous aurions pu faire de même aux Deux magots ou à la Brasserie Lipp. Avantage du Flore: sa situation. Par une beau midi, nous voilà donc en terrasse. A nos côtés des Parisiens qui parlent haut et fort de leurs connaissances et de quelques auteurs français qu’ils «semblent» bien connaître. Conversation roulant aussi sur: Ibiza, Londres… bref: du show!
Question nourriture… bon point pour le jambon/​beurre et le café joliment servi. Quelconque et pas très bon, le croque Flore qui était écoeurant et semblait sortir d’un vulgaire bui-​bui avec une salade verte sans grand accompagnement. bref: déçevant.
Comme point positif: le service. Les garçons sont stylés, bavards, polis, souriants et très agréables.
En résumé: oui pour un café, une parlotte et des oreilles grandes ouvertes pour écouter ces gens qui pensent être siiiiii intéressants!!!

Plus qu’une institution, un monument de Paris. Il faut une fois boire un verre au Flore, au détour d’une balade parisienne. Certes l’addition sera plus élevée, mais visiter Paris c’est aussi aller dans des lieux incontournables de la capitale !

Este es un típico bar parisino, ubicado en una zona cultural e históricamente muy ricas. Al igual que otros bares, puedes sentarte en la vereda o en la galería cubierta para ver a la gente que pasa por la calle y contemplar la vida parisina.
Al ser un bar que posee mucha historia, los precios son bastantes elevados. Sin embargo, si estás dispuesto a gastar algo, por 6.50 puedes tomar una bebida o, por un poco menos, un café.
Vale la pena sólo por su peso histórico, en lo demás, no se diferencia de otros tantos bares parisinos más económicos.

Sous la pluie… :(c’est moins sympa mais ca reste le Café de Flore, une institution dans le cartier.

Qui n’a pas entendu parler du Café de Flore? Ce célèbre café rive-​gauche, où les gens y viennent pour principalement deux raisons:
1 — Ceux qui viennent pour voir et être vu;
2 — Les touristes ou encore ceux qui veulent comprendre pourquoi ce lieu est si connu.
En passant devant plusieurs fois, je m’imaginai beaucoup de choses, car en voyant tous ces gens sur leur 31 qui critiquent tous les passants… Je pensai que c’était un café dont l’accès était en quelque sorte réserve à une certaine catégorie de personnes. Euh en fait première erreur. Une fois installé j’ai très oublier tout ça.
Le service est super, assez disponible et rapide. en fait on paye ce service, car il faut avouer que les prix sont assurément élevés. Par exemple, un expresso est servit pour 4,4 euros. svp!
Quelques plats sont proposés, à des tarifs tout aussi élevés, les salades sont à 16 euros par exemple. Mais cela né m’a parut intéressant, les desserts peuvent valoir le coup (mais à des prix…).
J’ai aimé le décor, le service et le fait de se sentir un peu vip pour un instant.
C’est vrai que ce café à une histoire incroyable, et suscite l’engouement depuis plus d’un siècle.

Lieu incontournable et mythique de la capitale avec service à la parisienne (moyen, pas sympa). Le chocolat chaud reste un classique qui né déçoit jamais

Das Café de Flore ist ein wunderschönes traditionelles Pariser Café, wie aus dem Bilderbuch in einer High-​Society-​Gegend, wo viele bekannte Designer und die Pariser Modeszene überhaupt, ihren Sitz zu haben scheinen.
Früher ein beliebter Treffpunkt für die kulturelle Elite Frankreichs.
Eine gute Atmosphäre sollte man meinen. Heute fallen vor allen Dingen die absolut überzogenen Preise auf. Jene sind selbst für Paris jenseits von Gut und Böse (8,50 für eine heiße Tasse Schokolade).
Ist das den Touristen häufig noch egal, so lassen die (technisch) perfekt geschulten aber bodenlos frechen und unverschämten Kellner auch nicht lange auf sich warten. Wer Tourist ist wird als Mensch dritter Klasse behandelt, als wäre Paris und speziell das Café de Flore nicht im Geringsten auf den Tourismus angewiesen und würden ihn auch nicht befürworten. Wer als Tourist also über die Preise aufgrund der langen Tradition dieses Cafes hinwegsehen kann und will, der sollte sich dennoch die Frage stellen, ob er sich der undankbaren und herablassenden Art der Kellner aussetzen und derlei Service unterstützen möchte. Ich bin sicher Picasso, Sartre und Konsorten hätten diese Entwicklung eines ihrer Lieblingscafes beschämend empfunden. Für mich nie wieder.

The ambiance was great… as in the people walking and the neighborhood, but the food (and I’ll admit, we only tried one thing) was not worth the price.

Je n’aime pas spécialement ce café, le décor est pas ce qu’il y a de plus original, il n’y a que les banquettes rouges qui sont sympas et le serveur n’était pas franchement très agréable.
La fois ou j’y ai été, c’était blindé ! C’est un endroit ou pas mal de vedettes vont et on à d’ailleurs pu apercevoir le fils d’Alain Delon.
La seule raison pour laquelle j’ai mit 3 c’est pour leur assiette de fromages qui sont excellents.

Qui né connait pas le café de flore??? A part à la campagne. non je plaisante.

Un bon lieu ou se mettre en terrasse avec une cigarette et un café, et y regarder les gens passer, bon ok il y’a que des touristes, mais cela vaut le coup!
Petite anecdote !!!
J’étais avec ma copine pour prendre un café, j’avais faim (pour autant j’avais envie d’un Mcdo), donc j’ai commandé un croc Monsieur on me disant qu’il serait servit avec frite et salade, et bien la surprise, une petite assiette, un croc limite faisable à la maison, et 11 EUR!
Bön d’accord on y va pas pour manger un croc, mais à retenir !

Ce café célèbre n’est certainement pas le meilleur café de Paris, mais les personnages qui l’ont fréquenté dans le passé sont toujours une source d’inspiration pour nous dans le présent. C’est pour cela qu’on est prêt à payer 8,50EUR pour un chocolat viennois bien inférieur à celui chez Angelina, bien que la présentation est jolie avec le chocolat servi dans un pichet (mais qui dégouline !) avec la crème chantilly séparée, tous sur un plateau. La terrasse sympathique donne sur le boulevard Saint Germain, avec plein de gens qui passent. C’est la même vue qui a inspiré les générations avant la mienne. Le service est également très correct, attentif, et accueillant. Il faut y aller au moins une fois dans sa vie !

Difficile de noter une institution comme le Flore ! Je n’y suis allé qu’une fois, mais :
— j’ai goûté leur spécialité de chocolat chaud fondu,
— j’ai croisé des mannequins peroxydés et des dames trop liftées,
— j’ai aperçu BHL
— j’ai payé un prix, comment dire… en accord avec le quartier !
Mais j’y retournerai avec plaisir !

Un mythe qui…
s’effondre un peu, on y va pour boire un verre (plusieurs même) et refaire le monde, en revanche côté cuisine on laisse tombé. On paye le lieu et ses nombreux souvenirs. En revanche service impeccable et aux petits soins.

Café prestigieux avec une histoire derrière! C’est excitant de se dire que vous posez peut-​etre votre postérieur la ou Simone (de Beauvoir) etait assise!

Gostei muito, a comida estava ótima e muito bonita, mas eu preciso contar que encontri uns simpáticos ratinho pelo chão. Pronto falei. Fui com amigos e pedimos uma tábua de queijos e salada.

Ein typisches Pariser Traditionscafé, in dem früher viele Literaten verkehrten.
Hier findet man alles bestätigt, was es so an Klischees über Pariser Cafés gibt: Winzige runde Tische, an denen man mit bis zu 4 Personen gesetzt wird; diese stehen so eng zusammen, dass man dem Nachbarn regelmäßig anstößt, sobald man sich bewegt; Preise für mittelmäßig schmeckende Sandwiche, zu denen man an anderer Stelle komplette Menüs bekommt.
Aber eben auch diese einmalige Atmosphäre eines alten, aber trotzdem lebendigem Cafés mit perfekt agierenden Kellnern und topmodisch gekleideten Gästen.
Irgendwie gehört so etwas einfach zu Paris

Ich wurde auf das «Le Flore» durch meinen Reiseführer aufmerksam und wollte mir aufgrund der «Vorschusslorbeeren» einen eigenen Eindruck verschaffen. Ehrlicherweise muss ich noch hinzufügen, dass ich im ersten Stockwerk an einem Tisch im hinteren Teil saß. Vielleicht ist dies einer der Gründe, dass ich das «Le Flore» nicht so überwältigend fand. Aber jeder sollte seine eigene Erfahrung machen. Der Service war auf jeden Fall sehr gut. Vom Abiente war ich enttäuscht.

Ein Klassiker
Dieses Literaten-​Café ist ein wahrer Klassiker unter den vielen berühmten Cafés in Paris. Man taucht regelrecht in die Atmosphäre von Sartre & Co. ein und spürt diesen einzigartigen Flair, den das Café umgibt. Leider saftige Preise!
