I would not recommend this place. We went there since its very close to the eiffel tower. We ordered kingprawn linguini. The pasta wad cooked well, but the whole dish was very bland/dry/not enough sauce. The kingprawns looked more like medium sized shrimp. We also ordered chicken with fries. The chicken was very dry and salty. The fries were ok. The dessert was decent(crème brûlée)

The food(mixed omelette and apple tart) were ok not memorable, the service was the worst we’ve experienced in Paris. Should have tried one of the other cafés on the corner!

I ate here twice(it was a block from my apartment) on a trip to Paris over a long weekend. The location is perfect as it overlooks the Trocadéro, which makes the sidewalk café element attractive to tourists(including myself) on their way to the Eiffel Tower. As a New Yorker, I’ve come to expect mediocre food at high turnover cafes that largely cater to tourists. However, the food definitely surpassed my expectations(I ordered steak frities on my first stop and an omelette on the second). The meat was a bit tough to cut, but I wasn’t expecting a steak house quality filet either. We also split chocolate mousse and apple tart, both of which were phenomenal. As a side note, almost everything comes with fries, which was a great addition to the meal. In general, the menu seemed to be fairly priced(both the steak frites and omelette were only about 15 euros each). The waitstaff was a bit overwhelmed with the lunch crowd, which could be expected. However, they were very professional and could speak english well. All in all, if you’re looking for a quick and affordable bite to eat as you sight see, this place seems to beat your average Parisian café.

The street side café is a nice place to sit, although other than having a terrace, this is not the place to go. The food is less than mediocre and the wine seems pricey for a so-so selection. I ordered the steak frites and goat cheese salad. The steak frites was just so-so — not a good cut of meat and a too bit tough. My boyfriend ordered a fish soup which was fairly generic and made the mistake of ordering the andouillette sausage thinking it was andouille sausage(I would recommend only ordering if you know what it is… chitterlings). Overall a disappointing dinner for 88 euros for dinner and a bottle of wine — and entirely forgettable. It seems to cater to tourists, but is not the place where you’ll find a high quality French meal.

A great location, but that’s about it for this place. The service was ok, but the food was not. I ordered the steak frites, it was lackluster and chewy-difficult to eat. We also ordered spaghetti bolognese, again lacking in the flavor department. I’d have to say the chocolate mousse was the only redeeming quality. Not much else to say, a bland review for a bland experience.

A great meal on the outdoor patio, which was great for fresh air and people watching but a bit crowded and a lot of smokers. The escargot was good but a little dry but the scalloped chicken and desserts were delicious and the service fabulous. Worth the trip!

With the Eiffel Tower nearby, expect no relaxing place. The turnover of customers is handled well by the stuff though. The café has a great retro atmosphere. We only stopped for coffee and cakes, which were good but nothing unforgettable. You need to be ready to pay premium for the location.

Service is great, however the food wasn’t as great as the service. I’ve come to this place every time I’ve come to Paris, but this may be the first time I was really truly unhappy with my food. Usually the steak is so juicy and flavorful that your mouth is having a party. However this time my steak was dry and chewy. Not sure if they have new cooks but this experience has made me think twice about returning here. I’ve given 4 stars because of my past experiences here.

Visited this place a while ago, but as we’ve passed it in the last couple of days, I believe nothing’ tremendous changed. Located just at the back door of the Tour Eiffel, just at the Trecodéro Sq. Café Kleber is always busy. The food, even my lady friend who lives just between Arc d’ Triomphe n Eiffel Tower, stays ok. Pricing, as like everywhere in Paris, is fine icl. the ridiculous beverages. You wont do wrong by having ur quick meal or sitting around enjoying your coffee watching the crowds. Thus, nothing to tell home about.

The food here was decent however I’m giving them one star because they consciously took advantage and overcharged us. I even commented to the waiter that it happened and he kind of smiled and said, «well I don’t make the rules.» $ 6.80EUR was charged for each person at the table of six people for tea even though we only ordered three teas. They took the liberty of bringing six tea bags to the table so they could charge everyone. In the end we had extra tea bags and a $ 100EUR bill. Considering that we only had a couple of soups and a couple of desserts, I feel like they really took advantage of us. To top it all off, they wouldn’t let us use the wifi even though you can see there is a wifi signal with the name of the restaurant on it which was the reason we chose them over the other places in the area. My next trip to Paris will certainly not include a visit to this place!

I have eaten here a number of times… not so much for the food, but for the location and view. You can see the top of the Eiffel tower from a couple of spots in the restaurant… and as the restaurant is located in the Place du Trocadero, you can walk across the street and get the best view in Paris of the Eiffel tower. The food is traditional french, steak frites, fish and salades. all ok.

Had a bite to eat here and it went fairly well. It is in a prime location so yea it could be touristy. But I am a tourist. Our waiter was great, he spoke English very well and the accent wasn’t even that bad. Most French who speak English have such a bad accent while speaking English you still can’t understand them. Besides that, he was very prompt and quick… until he took a break/lunch and his colleague, whom sucked, took over for a bit. He was slow, not personable, and just ehh. As for the food. We I bought some steak and pomme frites and so did the wife, but a cheaper version of it. Mine was a combo came with a choice of appetizer, dessert, and a boisson(drink). I picked shrimp cocktail, and glacé for my dessert. The meats were cooked great. They were also tender and the knife cut through them with so much ease. They did taste great and satisfying. Cocktail was ok, they used thousand island dressing and not the typical«cocktail» sauce we all know and love here in the USA. The ice cream dessert was ok too, and enough for us to share. The fries with our steaks tasted good! Too bad we weren’t offered ketchup with them. I mean overall it was a satisfying dinner, and with 2 main courses, 1 app, 1 dessert, and 1 drink the 40 something Euro didn’t seem too bad at all, until it shows up on my credit card as USD for $ 60+ HAHAHAH. Damn you USDOLLAR! If this was in the states, I would expected a lot more for $ 60USD. But since it was in Paris, it will be ok. I still had to take 1 star off for that hiccup in slow service due to the break of my initial waiter. Just to add, if you are going to sit outside, or still inside but just barely, don’t hate because of the smoke because it’s expected. People will and are smoking so if this is a problem tell them to sit you deep inside. Bathrooms also are SUPERDUPERSMALL. The ENTIRE bathroom is the size of 1 United States Handicap/Disabled stall LOL. Think of that and imagine fitting a stall, a urinal, and sink in that space.

J’y suis allé en groupe(9 personnes). A 16h. On lui a gentiment dit d’attendre cinq minutes.

For the service alone, I LOVED café kleber. But the food wasn’t great, the cheese had no taste. French cheese is amongst the best in the world! My croque monsiour and Croque madame didn’t taste like anything! I could’ve done with thicker brioche toast and less cheese! But our server was lovely, engaged and encouraged us to talk in french cheerfully. I don’t know why they say french people are snooty, all the people I encountered in stores and restaurants were lovely and smiley! It was a tad expensive for two grilled cheeses and tea and juice. 28euro including tip! Also it’s brilliantly located for not to serious tourists of paris, it’s right opposite the road from the eiffel tower viewing place from across the seine and it has MUCHMUCH less people so better pics and less crowded!

Located in the heart of the 16th, right in the Trocadero rotary, the Café Kléber is a terrific, busy establishment which serves up anything from a quick cup of coffee and a croissant to tasty and affordable lunches alongside all kinds of typical café fare. While most of what they have to offer is affordable, especially if one orders from one of their many lunch ‘formulas’(specials), such as the one where you can get an appetizer and an entrée, or an entrée and dessert for just 17 € 50, some of their prices are a bit high for other items. But that has a lot to do with the area — there’s a lot of tourists who flock to the area as it offers the best vantage point of the Eiffel Tower and thus attracts large crowds — by jacking up the prices a bit, they are exploiting their amazing location and taking full advantage of it. Despite the annoyance, I do think that it’s a justified business practice and have been a repeat customer regardless. But those details aside, this is a place where tourists and locals alike can sit down at the terrace while the garçons de café efficiently take care of you and ensure that you’re well taken care of. Having been there earlier this week once again, this time for lunch, I found it to be pretty good and affordable. For just under eighteen euros, I was able to have an entrée of goose rillettes alongside an order of steak frites. Everything came out tasting great and came with a basket of complimentary baguette. My diet coke was a bit expensive at five euros but was refreshing. All three of my companions had a good meal as well and we all left happy and not broke. Our lunch hit the spot and kept us within walking distance of various attractions in Paris and right near the subway(number nine line) which is literally ten feet away from this café. Despite being located in Trocadero and having lots of foot traffic right in front of it, this café remains surprisingly quiet and enjoyable. A worthwhile place to hit up either for a quick drink or a meal.

A bientôt.
