This was my first three star Michelin experience and it was outstanding. The food was outstanding(which I will get to below), but the whole experience felt like interactive entertainment. The staff was friendly and helpful, and they even invited my guest and I to tour the kitchen afterward! Please consider that my unrefined description won’t do any of this justice. Please also keep in mind that the chef brought out several other fun small dishes for us to try. I had the following dishes: Caviar de Sologne(half portion) — Unreal. I had never had caviar before. The caviar came on a bed of mashed potatoes and was just outstanding. It was also served with a small«breadstick» looking item that tasted crunchy on the outside but creamy on the inside. Macaronis farcis — This was my least favorite of all the dishes. The presentation was excellent. Pigeon de Bresse — Fantastic dish. The pigeon was perfect and pink throughout. This was suggested by the waiter and was marked as one of the chef’s specialties and it didn’t disappoint. Citron de Menton — This desert was very fun. Shaped like a lemon, and full of frozen lemon flavor. I thought the way it came apart as I put my utensil through it was so interesting. Nyangbo(half portion) — This desert is all about the presentation, am ornate chocolate sphere around a small amount of chocolate covered in gold leafing. I didn’t have any alcohol because I don’t drink, but my guest seemed to really enjoy his drinks. The meal lasted three and a half hours. My portion of the meal cost me 360 euros and after the experience I was happy.

There’s a reason this place deserves its 3 stars. From start to finish this restaurant is the epitome of perfect service, food and atmosphere. Let’s take a dive in on this once-in-a-lifetime experience… As soon as you enter the hotel that houses the restaurant, someone is approaching to make sure you’re going to the right place and taken care of. Coats and bags were hung up and the manager led us to our table overlooking the beautiful courtyard. Meanwhile there was quality banter and witty jokes. The menu was explained and after ordering, several courses of exquisite complementary dishes were served. I think by the time the starters arrived, I’d already stuffed myself. I ordered a traditional French rabbit dish and my friend had the lobster. Literally for a solid 15 minutes no words were explained simply because we were too busy absorbing the amazing food. Simply there are no sufficient words to sum up the experience. Not only did it feel incredibly luxurious, the service was personal, well coordinated, and so seemless. With these places, you don’t just pay for world class food, you are there to experience waitressing to a whole new level. Definitely a must try!

G. Damn. Best meal of my entire life. My husband and I ate here on our honeymoon and since this was likely our first 3 Michelin star restaurant, we were very nervous about spending so much money to be underwhelmed.
Well, from the moment we walked into the hotel, it was a magical experience. The staff was superb — they made us feel like we were honored guests and created an atmosphere of warmth and hospitality I haven’t felt before or since.
And the food! Every dish was better than the last, each delighting the senses. There was one small misstep in the meal, and not only did they recognize it quickly when they noticed we weren’t enjoying that course as much, they rectified the situation immediately by creating a new dish on the fly. The wine pairing was equally amazing. I usually hate rieslings(too sweet), but they brought out one that was sophisticated, complex, and tasted like sweet grapes warmed by the sun on the vine. So good. I had so many favorite dishes, but I distinctly remember two from the dessert course — a frozen fruity amuse bouse made with liquid nitrogen that danced on my tongue and the litchi iced meringue with a sugar crystallized rose petal. I felt like a princess eating it! Our bill was just under $ 1,000 with the two tasting menus and wine pairings, but it was truly a once in a lifetime experience.

There are Michelin restaurants and there are masterpieces. Epicure is a masterpiece. In Paris it is the 9th symphony of the culinary world. Each dish dazzles, surprises, and tempts the palette and every article of food is an explosion of flavor with refined taste. It was a grave mistake to not get the tasting menu and I cannot wait for my next trip to Paris to have it for myself. A toast to the best restaurant in Paris!

Hands down the best meal we’ve ever had! Every texture and taste just sort of evolves into something spectacular. The staff are super courteous and jovial, putting us at ease in such a high-end setting. We didn’t do the degustation because we wanted to be able to try a little of everything. I had the Langoustines Royales et Caviar for my entrée and Sole de sable for my main and my partner had the Macaronis farcis entrée and the Merlan de ligne main. All was outstanding, but if pushed, we both agreed my entrée and his main were the best. We ordered the Citron de Menton and the Précieux chocolat«Nyangbo» for dessert as well. Both were good but compared to the rest of the meal, weren’t much to write home about – but the chest of complimentary macaroons they rolled out after however, definitely WAS! They tasted as good as the display case of them looked. The staff even snuck a rose to my husband to give me at the end of the evening because they knew we were on our honeymoon:) Also, we got a very lovely wine pairing suggested by our wine server/expert. Those wine bibles can be a bit intimidating(and VERY heavy!) but he listened to what we liked and suggested something that went perfectly and was actually quite affordable. It wasn’t just about getting us to buy the most expensive bottle! Be prepared to leave completely stuffed, as the chef sends out delicious surprise dishes throughout the evening as well. With all of the excellent food choices in Paris, this place is one I would want to return to again each time we go!

My husband and I just finished the meal of our lives, without question, at Epicure. By way of context, we live in St. Helena, in California’s Napa Valley and on a daily basis frequent some of the best food and wine the US has to offer. We have dined many times at both The French Laundry, The Restaurant at Meadowood and truly appreciate the artistry and elevated culinary experience at both. Epicure, however, exceeded our expectations on every level and distinguishes itself from our local favorites. Let’s start with the intangibles… Atmosphere: sophisticated, serene, elegant, yet intimate. Service: beyond compare, attentive, deliberate, present, but with a very real and authentic sense of humor. We are Americans who were staying at Le Bristol, speak little French and the staff was delightfully accommodating in guiding us through the menu, wine selections and the evening in general. Food: we chose to depart from the evening’s tasting menu, so that we might enjoy as much diversity as possible(and opted for the Sommelier’s pairing for each course). We tasted the signature macaroni with fois gras, artichoke and truffle. AMAZING! The Crab first course, was light, perfectly balanced with coral and basil sauces. DIVINE. For the fish course, we chose the Lobster, with these delicious«puffs» and it was just exquisitely prepared. And also the evening’s whiting fish on a bed of spinach with a «crust» of almond and essentially a beurre blanc, but 100 times better. We shared the milk fed veal with parmesan, ham… out of this world. Magical cheese course Ended with Cuban and Jamaican coffees and the signature Nyangbo dessert. Unparalleled artistry. Perfection The delightful amuse bouche and macaroon and sweets carts were just an exclamation point on an perfectly executed meal. Don’t hesitate. GO! You will not regret it and I frankly think the experience is very reasonably priced when compared to 3 Michelin Star US restaurants.

One of my favorite 3 stars BUT, number one for Lunch. The rationale follows: service in the beautiful garden in season, fixed menu at 145 euros is a bargain, flexible kitchens accommodates my wife(she is highly selective), the iced tea is my fave(Marco polo blend from marriage frere) and the food/presentation rivals many other 3 stars. IMHO, Prices for Mouton-Rothchild are a bit steep.

What a horrible experience I’ve had with Epicure– avoid it like the plague! The food wasn’t worth the price tag– or the food poisoning that came along with it! After booking my anniversary dinner here through American Express concierge we both became violently ill from the food we were served! To make matters even worse the restaurant was completely unreceptive to American Express who I had called and filled in on my experience. I was told the restaurant demanded I contact them myself and I was given the name Marco Tognon and his email address. I sent multiple emails to the email I was provided as well as ones I found on the website– I was ignored by Epicure for almost a week– two weeks from when they were first contacted by American Express on my behalf! I finally received an email from someone named Kevin Chambenoit. Who emailed me back stating no one else complained of getting sick the evening we dined therefor they are taking zero accountability in our horrible experience and the food poisoning we received from Epicure. Direct quote from Kevin’s email–«Our Food and Beverage operation is audited by two different hygiene companies on a monthly basis” — that’s comforting– Just kidding– as a health care professional I know that«monthly» checks don’t mean a thing– it only takes one chef not to wash their hands after going to the bathroom and handling the food to get someone sick! What a joke! Kevin then invites me at the end of his email to come back and feel free to book a reservation through him– are you kidding me? Why would I ever go back to a restaurant that refuses to take accountability in getting me ill and on top of it does nothing to make the situation right. As a foodie and someone who frequently eats at various fine dining restaurants(including many with Michelin star ratings) I am appalled that a three star Michelin restaurant would handle their food and their customers this improperly! I’ve had a few less than favorable dining experiences before and I’ve found that restaurants that truly believe in the quality of the food they serve are very willing to make the situation right– refund you for the cost of your meal and THEN invite you back to prove to you they stand by their food and the experience they provide to customers. If you are in Paris avoid this place– the food honestly was mediocre and clearly they don’t care about their customers. I predict a loss of Michelin stars in their future if this is how they continue to run their business!

Epicure was hands down one of the best experiences my husband and I had! This 3 star Michelin restaurant provided us with phenomenal service. We felt like a king and queen for the night. The food was beyond our expectations and we even had the chance to tour the kitchen and meet the chef! After calling the restaurant at least 10 times and being placed from the bottom of the waiting list to the top, we were very gratified that they accommodated us! Magnifique!!!

Michelin Three-Starred Restaurant, L’Epicure. This is also trip advisor’s 1 out of 11,652 best restaurant rated by the real people. First time trying the pigeon meat medium rare. Very unique experience and course of meal overall. I forgot which red wine I had but it was unforgettably great and a bit expensive. The total cost of my meal for one person $ 420USD. It was one of the most expensive yet most disappointed three michelin star restaurant meal of my life. I choose the Chef’s tasting course. It was less than a 5 – 7 course meal and most luxurious part was the pigeon steak. Taste was very blend and was nothing too special or appealing. I wish I would have booked another restaurant instead. If I was served the same meal again I would decline to eat. This was the worst meal I had in Paris from this trip. Please avoid the hype and book different restaurant like Robuchon or Alain Passard. Robuchon and Alain Passard were more in aligned with the three michelin starred restaurants around the world.

We had an unbelievably good experience here for our honeymoon in July 2015. The service was amazing from even before I stepped foot out of the taxi. We were dressed in our best and we entered the hotel escorted to a side bar that looked like it was fit for James Bond. Cocktails are delicious and perfectly crafted but start out at 26 euro, which was expected to be honest. We were early for our reservation and when the time came to be seated we weren’t ready. They said please stay, enjoy your drinks, your table will be waiting for you whenever you are ready. The bartender provided these cheesy wafer things that were delicious finger food too. Also, he let me try a particular scotch on the house that we were discussing(we purchased 4 drinks total) so he earned a solid tip. I can tell you the food is divine and you will eat plenty even with the seemingly small dishes. We had the chef’s tasting menu and the wine pairing for each course. So many dishes, some were not one the menu so there is more than meets the eye when selecting the tasting menu. I was on the fence about getting the Bresse Farm Hen poached in a cow’s bladder since it was their signature dish, but I wanted to go with the variety of the tasting menu. Next time I will have to try it(oh.there will be a next time). I want to personally thank Thomas, our maître d’, for making our night one to remember for a lifetime. Meeting the head chef, Eric Frechon in the kitchen and getting an autographed menu to memorialize our experience set it over the top. The kitchen was run like a machine, but totally organized and spotless, everything was in its place and people were focused yet pleasant when they spotted us. The rest of the staff was just as accommodating and pleasant, they really made you feel like everything was being done just for you. I want to mention a few by name — Paz, Cyril, Francois, Marco, and Julie help make this a special night. It will be expensive, but totally worth it if you are looking for a classy, one of a kind experience — go here. I’m going back for sure.

Three star Michelin restaurant. #88 on the Pelegrino Top 100 Restaurants in the World for 2014, #1 Restaurant in Paris on TripAdvisor. What more can I say? After dining at Epicure, it will become the standard to measure all your future dining experiences! Epicure is located in the Hotel Le Bristol. They serve contemporary French cuisine by Eric Frechon and it’s one of the very best dining experience we have ever had. My wife and I were celebrating our 10 year anniversary and her birthday at Hotel Le Bristol and Epicure and it was the perfect choice for the double occasion. World class food and romantic atmosphere. The Epicure team was spectacular. Very professional yet friendly. The Epicure team also surprised us with a little birthday desert and a long stemmed rose that I gave to my wife. Marco Pelletier, Chef Sommelier, selected a perfect red wine for my wife. She can be a picky one with wine and after providing Marco with some descriptions of what she likes he absolutely nailed it when I saw a huge smile across her face after her first taste. First Course: Stuffed Macaroni with black truffle, artichoke and duck foie gras, gratinated with mature Parmesan cheese. Leeks from Ile De France grilled, seaweed butter, tartar of «Perle Blanche» oysters, spring onions and lemon. Fish: Scallops: ratte potatoes gnocchi with white truffle from Alba, watercress juice with brown butter. Meat: Saddle of Venison roasted with juniper berries, beetroot perfumed with Porto, pureed celeriac, «Grand Veneur» sauce. Fine Seasonal Cheeses Desert: Lemon from Menton frosted with limoncello, with pear and preserved lemon. Peru Chocolate in a coca pod, iced, foamy and crunchy, chocolate sorbet infused with lemongrass. My amazing husband surprised me at this 3-Michelin starred restaurant because he loves to spoil me and only take me to the best. They are very good with reserving via email and really do their best to accommodate you. Tip: They book several weeks or even months in advance! It’s located in the gorgeous Le Bristol Hotel, from the ambience of the harp player right to being escorted to our seats, I felt like royalty. My husband and I chose the seasonal menu, which tends to change pretty often. Each dish was impeccable, and their sauces were to die for, particularly the ones with a yellow wine sauce. Our waiters were so funny and made us laugh every time they came to gather our plates/bring us new dishes. Service, food, and overall experience was 5 stars. I can see why Epicure is one of the most coveted restaurants in the world.

If you had to have just one meal before you die, make it this one. You won’t regret it. The meal, the craftsmanship, presentation and service were superb! Every bite was a wow! AMBIANCE — exquisite, elegant, romantic, etc. Tastefully decorated and understated dining room with approximately 8 – 10 tables. Ours offered plenty of intimacy as it afforded us a view of the courtyard and not much else other than the food. Each table was adorned with a small bouquet of red roses and a delicate Baccarat butterfly. SERVICE — The staff was beyond awesome. I’ve never seen a group of people be so synchronized. The dishes were brought out of the kitchen only when a group of waiters were perfectly situated around the table to deliver them. Both of our dishes were set at exactly the same instant. They were impeccable. Absolutely no hint of pretension like you see in other places. At the end of the meal, our waiter sprinkled rose petals on our table. FOOD— I’m afraid that’s words simply cannot do it justice. Best meal that I have ever had. If you can, splurge on the wine pairing as you will be introduced to new flavors. The price tag is steep(1000 €), but I would do it all over again. It was just a splendid evening! Can’t wait to go back!

One of the most memorable meals I have had. Epicure is definitely one of the more expensive restaurants you can go to, but it is well worth it. Flawless and caring service. They want your experience here to be perfect and they succeed. It has some of the most beautiful place settings at a restaurant anywhere. A lovely room that will accent any special or other occasion. Oh, and the food, it really does not get any better. It is superb, very fresh and they are accommodating of dietary restrictions(actually emailed them ahead of time). Since I love desserts, the macaroons at the end were a delicious finale to a wonderful afternoon.

If you’re like me, and you only have a couple of nights in Paris, and you want to make your lady feel like a million bucks, look no further than Epicure. From the moment we walked into ‘Le Bristol’ hotel to have dinner at Epicure, we were treated like royalty. It is no surprise that this restaurant earned their three Michelin stars. While the food was exquisite, it was the ambiance and the service made this my first Unilocal five-star rating. Rose champagne to start, which was great, given that we were celebrating our first night in Paris. I should mention that it is a huge bonus that they are open on a Sunday night(not many top restaurants are in Paris). We received an appetizer that was compliments of the house. I cannot do it justice with a description, since I did not have my book out at the time, or my camera, but the presentation and the flavors were excellent! The first dish was a stuffed macaroni with truffle and foie gras. See my posted pictures. This signature dish is what the chef is known for. Both art and a slice of heaven on a plate. For main dishes, my wife had the lamb, and I had the veal sweetbreads. Both of us enjoyed them beyond measure. For wine, they had the most extensive wine list I have ever seen(a tome, really), and the Sommelier recommended a delicious 2008 a360p Domaine Ostertag Pinot Gris, that complimented our entire meal. Next, we could have whatever we wanted from their cheese cart(so many to try!) and we got a small sample of each. Before dessert, we had a coconut sorbet with pineapple to cleanse the pallet. This was good, because up next was the signature Nyangbo chocolate dessert! I won’t spoil it for you, but take a look at the picture I posted. It is worth buying for your special gal. The staff were very friendly, and after they offered us additional chocolates, pastries, and espresso, they slipped me a red rose to give my wife! I had not planned that, but they went above and beyond to make the night special. They even put some of the freshly baked pastries in a ‘Le Bristol’ bag for my wife to take back to our hotel. I can’t say enough about how wonderful Epicure is. Once you have eaten here, you will promise yourself a return visit.
