Foyer mon vietnam est un petit restaurant vietnamien, d’ordre familiale, situé vers le bas du Panthéon.
La déco n’est pas folichonne, mais les plats présentés ici sont authentiques. Eh oui, ici on vient pour les «marmites au caramel» que ce soit du porc ou du poisson, tout est délicieux.
Les nems sont également très bons, et ils proposent la soupe phở en entrée (petit bol).
Le porc au caramel est fait maison et est identique à celui du pays. Ni trop salé, ni trop sucré, avec son oeuf dur au centre, le porc est généreusement imprégnée de sa sauce bien goutûe, accompagné de son bol de riz blanc et d’une petite salade légère, très bien assaisonnée. Le poisson (Pangas) au caramel est également excellent, mais attention aux arrêtes!
Très bon petit restaurant sans prétention, mais avec beaucoup de qualité dans ce quartier. Attention, ça se remplit très vite et le service est familial.

Dank Unilocal habe ich diese Kleinod gefunden — ein nettes familiäres Vietnamesisches Restaurant. Der Service ist sehr freundlich, es gibt einige Zweier-​Tische und ein paar grössere Tische. Grössere Gruppen sollten wahrscheinlich vorher reservieren, aber alleine oder zu zweit müsste man die Woche über schon einfach so einen Platz bekommen (so wie ich).
Noch wichtiger ist natürlich das Essen: Ich hatte das Menu für 15 Euro. Als Vorspeise die Nem, sind knusprig frittiert, schmecken frisch und würzig (nicht nach Frittierfett) und die Salatblätter und Gewürze dazu sind frisch und knackig.
Als Hauptgang Bo Bun, das Rindfleisch war in schön dünne und kleine Scheibchen geschnitten und auf den Punkt gebraten und angenehm unaufdringlich gewürzt, dazu Sojasprossen, Salat, Karotten, Kräuter, Sauce. Ich fand es sehr gut abgestimmt, geschmackvoll und nicht zu salzig, aber doch würzig
Als Dessert habe ich das einzige genommen, was ich noch nicht kannt und wozu ich hier bei Unilocal noch nichts gelesen hatte: Che dao hu, heisser Tofu in Ingwer-​Rohrzuckersirup. Ganz gut wenn man nur noch etwas Kleines haben will und grad keine Lust auf Passionsfruchttörtchen oder Kokos-​Panna-​Cotta hat. Nächstes Mal werde ich aber auch eines davon probieren.
Alles in allem ein tolles Abendessen, und für 18,50 EUR inkl. Jasmintee und einer (gratis) Karaffe mit Wasser auch noch sehr preiswert. Und nicht zu vergessen das freundliche Personal, da macht das Bestellen und das Essen (und selbst das Bezahlen) gleich viel mehr Spass!

Une salle sans déco ni charme particulier. La carte n’est pas grande, avec deux menus proposés en permanence.
C’est celui à 12 € que j’ai choisi avec entrée et plat, sans boisson ni dessert.
Les nems arrivent vite et sont très bons. Il y a au moins autant de feuilles de salade que de nems, et c’est à noter ! Ensuite, c’est le porc au caramel. La viande est tendre et baigne dans un jus sucrée avec un oeuf dur. Ce n’est pas mauvais, mais sans plus pour moi. Trop de sucre, et peut etre pas assez de sel.
Le rapport qualité prix n’est pas mauvais, mais je n’ai pas été emballé plus que ça.

Fantastic find in the Latin Quarter! Reasonable prices, satisfying /​not overwhelming portion sizes, delicious and clean flavors and, best of all for me, they know about celiac and gluten-​free eating. Also the table red wine is more than serviceable, in fact I would go so far as to say it was good. ;-)

After three days of eating nothing but pastries, pâté/​foie gras, cheese and various rich French entrees, my body screamed, «STOP, NO MORE!!!» I needed something light, like a bowl of phở topped with a generous portion of bean sprouts and mint and a side of summer rolls. This was one of the few places open late on a Saturday night, so we made the trek from the right bank to the left.
Strangely enough they didn’t have summer rolls, so we ended up ordering Vietnamese chicken and vegetable dumplings instead and a bowl of phở to share. Both were very good. The phở was surprisingly complex — no need for fish sauce, lime or sriracha, but we did toss a couple of bird eye chilies in to turn up the heat. I like that the brisket was cut into smaller pieces — much easier to eat.
Service was quick and the bill was 12 €. Not much to complain about here, folks.

It was a cold night in Paris and we were salivating for soup. We walked a long way to come to this restaurant on a Sunday at 8:30 pm, but guess what? They are closed on Sunday (always) and have not bothered to inform their websites or Unilocal.We are very disappointed.

Good Vietnamese food can be hard to come by while travelling in Europe but this small family-​run restaurant reminded me in so many ways of my mum’s cooking.
Very accommodating when we requested modifications to an item on the menu (soft noodles rather than deep fried) and service was delivered with a smile and welcoming manner.
Bo bun cha gio was excellent and full of classic and authentic flavour and the vegetarian noodles were served with generous portions of tofu.

Loved this surprise find. I was exhausted from my 5 hour walk after my first tour in Paris. I was looking for food and found this cute place. The service was nice and the food as well. I had the vermicelli and my friend had the phở. The phở had deep beef flavor and came with all the right condiments. I prefer my fish sauce for vermicelli to be sweeter but it was still good. The decoration on the front door is so clever! Will come back when I’m in Paris again.

Simple, fresh Vietnamese food at a fantastic price — you won’t find stewed fish in casserole here, but for your basic phở or bo bun, Foyer Mon Vietnam hits the mark.
The phở (7 € for a big bowl) has a light, flavorful, not at all oily broth with plenty of lemongrass flavor, with bean sprouts, birdseye chilis, lime and other garnishes served on the side. I recommend getting the beef phở, the thinly sliced beef is plentiful and perfectly medium-​rare.
Although I prefer the phở, the bo bun is also solid. They keep it classic and simple but nail all the components — slightly firm vermicelli noodles with lots of shredded carrots, cilantro, and crispy nem. Don’t think you can really go wrong with any of the plats in the formule; although the cuisine isn’t particularly inventive or mind-​blowing, it is impeccably fresh and tasty.
As a previous reviewer stated, don’t skip dessert! The tarte passion meringuée and coconut panna cotta are housemade, fantastic and incredibly well priced at 4 €, I guarantee they’re more interesting than a comparable cheap pâtisserie at your neighborhood boulangerie.
On top of everything else, the décor is refined and elegant and the staff are genuinely very kind (especially the head waitress/​owner) and service is on point. Quel découvert!

Wahou quelle découverte !
Suite à un concert de Gospel proche de Notre Dame nous cherchions un petit restaurant abordable ou se régaler, j’ai dégainé mon appli Unilocal et les 5 étoiles et avis m’ont conduit ici.
La façade n’est pas très visible de l’extérieur, il faut être vraiment devant pour savoir que l’on se trouve au bon endroit mais peu importe.
L’endroit est exigu mais chaleureux et on vient tout de suite à notre rencontre pour nous installer.
La carte fait très envie et en effet les prix sont vraiment intéressants surtout pour le quartier.
La cuisine est délicieuse, fraiche, authentique et sans chichi que c’est agréable, comme son nom l’indique on se sent vraiment comme dans un petit diner en famille au vietnam. Tout est délicieux.
Si je repasse dans le coin c’est sûr que je reviendrais.

Que se passé-​t-​il avec les commentaires? Les plats sont incroyablement fades, les sauces juste très salées. Les desserts… né faites pas la même erreur que nous, n’en prenez pas ! Le service est correct mais rien de spécial.
Vraiment je né comprends pas l’engouement pour ce lieu.

Un petit restaurant vietnamien pas cher dans un quartier où il est difficile de se nourrir pour un coût raisonnable. La nourriture était excellente, le service sympathique. Un très bon bobun nems/​boeuf pour moins de 10 €
Seul bémol: le restaurant n’accepte pas encore les tickets restaurant ni les CB donc prévoir du cash. Ils envisagent de les accepter sous peu mais cela conduirait à augmenter légèrement les prix de la carte.

Was really craving a hot bowl of broth, so I stopped by Foyer Mon Vietnam after class and had a great dining experience.
The phở in itself was fair. There’s only one kind of phở they serve here (which I am not used to), but it did the trick. The broth was great, noodles were plentiful, and beef was well-​cooked. However, the thing that really makes this place special is the service. I kid you not, my phở came out within 5 minutes, which absolutely BLEW my MIND! Fast service in Paris is hard to come by, so this place really takes the cake for superb service!

As far as I know, this is the only Vietnamese restaurant in Paris with 5 stars. And now I know why!
The service was incredibly good. Usually in French restaurants, they try to a) get you out of there as soon as you are done and b) you have to practically beg to get another carafe d’eau! Here, the waitress kept giving us a fresh carafe without us ever having to ask. And although we didn’t order coffee or tea after our meal, they let us stay for as long as we liked and not once tried to hint that we should leave. I was impressed!
Now onto the food — very flavorful and fresh. The phở tasted authentic and didn’t seem to be pumped full of MSG. I only wish it was also a «plat» as it is just listed as an entrée on the menu. However, I’m fairly certain that if you asked for a large bowl, you could get it as a plat. And it came with lime, not lemon (common in other Vietnamese places in France). I also got the bo bun which was excellent. I tried my friend’s caramel pork and it was equally delicious and rich in taste (will be getting that next time).
For the quality of the food, the prices are amazingly low. They have good «menu» deals for 12 (2 dishes) and 15 euros (3 dishes). I really recommend the desserts — they are homemade and not those pre-​made frozen desserts. I tried the coconut panna cotta and the passion fruit meringue tart — so fresh and the fruit flavors really stand out.
I’ve found a «bonne adresse» and will be coming back again!
Oh yes and it’s cash only but there’s an ATM down the street.

Well where do I start? The service was pretty excellent especially to us non French speaking tourist:) I figure the young lady was the owners daughter and she was extra sweet especially because their menu was only written in French. Now the food, I had the shrimp and it was very good even better than what I had in the US, I wanted them to make me another plate. We will be definitely returning to this spot!

Les patrons/​cuistots ont récemment déménagé de leur localisation initiale vers la Place Monge où ils ont cédé leur resto à né nouvelle équipe.
On retrouve ici ce qui faisait le succès de leur entreprise: un bo-​bun délicieux et très bon marché. Les raviolis sont aussi très bons. La déco est cosy est pas trop mal, en tout cas bien mieux qu’à l’ancien emplacement.
Y aller les yeux fermés pour le déjeuner ou un dîner sur le pouce, on né peut pas être déçu.

If the 5 star rating is for the perfect phở then this place is a 4 star place. I went for an early dinner on a rainy Saturday recovering from a hangover. Ordered the phở soup and the regular fried pork spring rolls — pretty classic. Half star less for the phở soup being too sweet and another half star less for the slow service. Usually phở places around the world have the soup broth ready and especially for a weekend night I didn’t get why it took forever for the phở to come although I was only the second table occupant in the place. The spring rolls are nicely fried and the service is friendly.

In a city with a lot of Vietnamese food and restaurants made by non-​Vietnamese, my exasperated native Vietnamese palate is completely relieved to find a home.
The food is delicious, clean, healthy, fresh and authentic. The décor is well kept, curated, and designed. The service is pleasant, attentive, without being fussy.
Have a very special guest in town, my mother, so her Vietnamese-​Mama-​palate is one I trust above all others. We were completely happy with our crab nem (cha gio), Bo bun, and vegetarian soup that came with plenty of veggies (no skimping here)!
The bathroom was impeccable, and a relief from the toiletry disasters we’d experienced in another area earlier in the day.
Highly recommend it.
Vietnamese people tasted, mama approved!

One of my favorites in the area.
The spring rolls (nems) are truly crisp and delicious. And I am such a big fan of their Phở soup that I rarely try anything else.
The whole family is very friendly; which makes for a nice atmosphere.
Also the prices are quite cheap.
Try it out if you are in the neighborhood!

Pas cher (mais alors pas du tout du tout), absolument délicieux et servit avec le sourire à deux pas du Panthéon, que demander de plus !
La cuisine est vraiment authentique, fraiche et hyper goûteuse. Leur phở est excellent et l’autre soupe (dont j’ai oublié le nom) au porc et aux crevettes est à tomber par terre. Rien de plus réconfortant un jour maussade d’hiver ou d’automne !
La clientèle est très diverse: des familles, des étudiants, des mamies qui se retrouvent pour luncher entre copines, des jeunes cadres un peu branchouilles, des profs qui engloutissent leur phở entre deux cours. Bref, c’est sympathique et convivial et ça donne un peu l’impression qu’on a tous été invités chez notre mémé vietnamienne qui nous a fait de bons petits plats.
C’est vrai que la déco n’est pas très funky funky mais vos papilles font beaucoup trop la teuf pour que vous vous en rendiez vraiment compte ;)
