Stayed here in late October 2009. Location was down the street of the famous Arc de Triomphe where my girlfriend and I almost got arrested at for trespassing the grounds after hours! Probably one of the most prime locations in Paris on a popular strip in Paris: Champs Elysees. The Room was spacious with a mini kitchen complete with fridge and sink. The room also had a large open rear mini balcony which overlooked the center courtyard. Surprisingly, the courtyard was relatively quiet since the walls of the building significantly reduced the exterior street noise from the other side. Very intimate and cozy(but not too small) feel with enough space to host a small live performance event if needed. Great boutique hotel. The only cons were that the gym equipment was minimal. The aesthetics of the building truly reflects the traditional theme of Paris.

The location is the big draw for this hotel! You can step out of the hotel and glance right at the Arc de Triumphe or go across the street and east a couple blocks to catch the Metro. The hotel itself is nice — lots of brass and there are no spots left uncarpeted. There are several spots with weak, but sufficient wifi. The concierge is always available, and their English is good enough, but if you venture outside of the typical hotel phrases, or ask a lot of questions, prepare to pull out a dictionary or be slowed down. We received a package of «Soldes» aka«The season of sales» which included very, very thorough descriptions of places to shop! Our bedroom came with a very handy kitchenette(everything you need to whip up a meal). Eating out in Paris is only worth it if you pay top dollar per meal, so we whipped up super tasty French Cuisine with what we found at Picard(20 min walk away). The bed was very comfy! The maid service seems to be thorough and I loved the large mirror, but the shower was so dangerous(slippery and high up). It was winter, but the room was very cozy. There were lots of entertaining tv channels and free music on the television. The internet was inconsistent, but shouldn’t be a problem if you are just sending email. Breakfast is served every morning and it’s identical each day: eggs, ham/sausage, toast, coffee, teas(very difficult to figure out!), assortment of jams, fruit(rather pallid), smoked salmon, yogurts, and a couple other things that weren’t memorable. It was underwhelming, and I believe it was either $ 10 or $ 17 euros per morning. There’s an underground shopping centre just next door that had decent prices, it’s interesting to poke around. It’s a great option if you get a good price! Enjoy Paris, mes amis!
