Super nice front desk staff. After staying there for 5 nights we got to know the staff for all three shifts. Breakfast is included and the food service is great. Super cozy & quaint and adjacent to many great restaurants on nearby Av Marceau, Av George V, and of course Champs Élysées. We chose it for the location to the Champs Élysées but found ourselves heading towards Chaillot area for more & less expensive choices(Av Marceau, Av Kleiber & lots of small streets in between).

location, location, location. once we secured our dinner reservation at restaurant pierre gagnaire, we immediately started searching for a hotel near by. after hours and hours spent on internet, we found a great deal for hotel francois 1er which came with rave reviews. it was just steps away from champs-elysees on a quiet street and 5 minute walk to a metro station. the hotel turned out to be a great place to stay for our first trip to paris. it’s a 4 star boutique hotel which doesn’t measure up to u.s. 4 star hotel standards, but it certainly did offer some convenient features and services. besides its prime location, there are many positive points for the hotel.
pros: — complimentary wi-fi — friendly staff — beautiful, cozy lobby — toilet paper — clean room — enough storage space — safe neighborhood cons: — tiny elevator(can fit 4 guests) — outdated room decoration — ugly view of next building — hard bed(not my thing, but the hubby liked it) while some people might find the room to be small, it did not bother us too much. the hotel restaurant only serves breakfast which we did not partake in. their rack rate is pretty expensive, so surf internet for discounts and deals. **************************************************************************** the area is very touristy which could be bad or good. we probably will not stay in this area(8th arrondissement) again for our next visit.
