Hotel ibis Paris Montmartre 18th

…zum Übernachten okay. Lage sehr gut. Aber «Gartenblick» hatte ich mir jetzt ehrlich gesagt auch anders vorgestellt und dass es sich dabei um ein Behindertenzimmer handelt, hätte man uns auch vorher mitteilen können. Also: Kein Duschvorhang, das Bett ganz an die Wand geschoben… Beim Vorbeigehen wirft man ja doch immer mal einen Blick in offene Zimmer; ja, «die anderen» waren wohl auch tatsächlich modernisiert — unseres halt nicht. Schade, aber wie gesagt: Zum Übernachten okay. Das Frühstück für 10,50 Euro zusätzlich war ebenfalls okay. Hier hätte der Service ein bisschen mehr darauf achten müssen, wo nachgelegt werden muss, statt schon vor Ende der Frühstückszeit anzufangen alles abzuräumen… Um die Frühstückseier gab es dann einen Kampf, hier sollte der Hotelgast nämlich selbst sein Ei kochen und selbst einen Blick drauf haben — dass das nicht gut geht ist auch irgendwie klar… :D

We stayed for three nights.
The receptionist was quite rude when we checked in, and didn’t give us any info about check out times, breakfast or where the lifts were.
The room are nice and clean, the bathroom was rather worn down with a base on the shower almost falling off.
There is one, super small window, that doesn’t allow for a lot of light, but the view over the Montmartre cemetery is gorgeous.
Breakfast is not included and very expensive and didn’t look that good. We opted for a café around the corner.
Since we were leaving Paris by train, we decided to buy tickets online, but the sncf site didn’t work, so we went to the lobby to ask if they could help us. Yet another bad experience with an indifferent receptionist who didn’t want to help.
We decided to check out a day early and weren’t offered any compensation.

Auch wenn das Hotel wirklich absolut nichts besonderes ist, hab ich hier schon mehrfach übernachtet. Der Grund ist, dass man hier zu einem perfekten Preis-​Leistungs-​Verhältnis ein qualitativ gutes Zimmer bekommt, was für eine Übernachtung und für einen Städte-​Shopping-​Trip in Paris völlig ausreicht.
Die Zimmer sind sauber, groß genug und die Betten gut.
Zudem ist die Lage perfekt, um abends oder am Sonntag vor der Abreise zu Fuss etwas schönes zu unternehmen. Sacre Coer ist fussläufig erreichbar. Um das Hotel rum sind tolle Restaurants und auch das Rotlicht-​Ausgeh-​Viertel mit dem berühmten Moulin Rouge. Super, wenn man abends nochmals was trinken gehen will.
Die Metro ist nur ein paar Schritte entfernt.
Das Servicepersonal im Hotel sehr nett und hilfbereit.

Excellent yet inexpensive hotel, really great value. Located near The Moulin Rouge. Our stay was 75 euro per night, which for the second most expensive city in the world I consider a slick deal. Lobby and staff are welcoming. The hallways look and smell a little like an old person’s home, but the rooms are lovely. I’ve never seen hard wood floors in a hotel room before! Rooms aren’t exceptionally spacious, but have plenty of room. They have corner cubbies and shelves that really utilize and maximize the storage and space. The bathroom wasn’t as nice as the rest of the room, but plenty fine. The shower has a divider, but it doesn’t go all the way to the wall, so it’s an open shower. Wifi is free for 24 hours per email account, so just use a fake email account and name (they’re not checked) and you can use free wifi for your entire stay.
Area is part of the red light district, but felt very touristy, I never felt unsafe.

Ein typisches Ibis halt wobei es den Vorteil hat sehr zentral zu liegen und die Metro Station ist nur einen Steinwurf entfernt. Die Zimmer gehen von der Sauberkeit so halbwegs obwohl hier und da mal etwas ausgebessert und gründlicher gereinigt werden sollte. Die Klimaanlage allerdings war total verdreckt und staubig. Das Personal an der Rezeption war äusserst unfreundlich und der englischen Sprache kaum mächtig. Wenn man keine Ansprüche an ein Hotelzimmer hat und nur etwas sucht um Abends nacht einem langen Tag in Paris in ein Bett zu fallen, dann ist man dort sicher richtig.

This is a very nice but inexpensive hotel situated close to Pigalle and the Sacré Cœur Basilica. The foyer and reception area is very large when I stayed here the staff were surprisingly friendly. There’s a bar, restaurant and parking (for which there is a charge). The room was small but clean and comfortable. It’s hard to pick an area to stay in Paris as there’s not really a centre and wherever you stay you’ll have to use public transport if you want to see all the sights. Taking this into account, this isn’t a bad base for a short break. There are metro stations close by and the Gare du Nord train station is only a short taxi ride away. The only thing I would say is that it’s probably not the nicest part of Paris so I wouldn’t go walking about outside alone late at night.

Hôtel Paris Ibis Paris Montmartres: un hôtel bien situépour passer un bon moment sans se ruiner
L’hôtel Ibis Paris Montmartre est bien situé près de la Place de Clichy. La ligne 2 permet de rejoindre rapidement la place de l’Etoile ou la Gare du nord, tandis que la ligne 13 permet de rejoindre les Champs Elysées. L’hôtel est grand avec 326 chambres. Il a un restaurant type brasserie française que j’ai essayé. Je recommande le canard à l’orange avec des tagliatelles et le coulant au chocolat. Le wifi est gratuit dans les chambres donc pensez à prendre votre pc. Le petit déjeuner est servi sous la forme d’un très grand buffet avec des produits frais et variés. On peut en profiter jusqu’a midi. La chambre est très propre avec des couettes blanches. Il y a des écrans plats. J’avais une belle vue sur Montmartre car ma chambre était en hauteur sans vis à vis. J’ai bien dormi. A la réception l’équipe a été plutôt accueillante et rapide. Je conseille donc cet hôtel à ceux qui veulent passer un bon moment à Paris sans se ruiner dans un quartier qui bouge. Le charme de Montmartre est bien justifié !

Un restaurant vraiment médiocre !
Nous avons choisi une des formules présentes sur la carte … Rien d’extraordinaire en apparence … Pas de chance, pas de saumon ce jour là et donc le choix entre Poulet grillé et Poulet snacké. Je choisis le poulet snacké tandis que mon mari choisissait lui un tartare de boeuf. On nous servit à moi du poulet bouilli accompagné de haricots verts et à mon cher et tendre un tartare… sans aucun accompagnement. Le serveur parut étonné de notre étonnement quand on lui demanda «et l’accompagnement ?»… Nous espérions nous rattraper sur le buffet de Douceurs qui nous était annoncé comme ayant fromages et desserts. Et là encore désagréable surprise ! Aucun fromage sur le buffet. Nous avons signalé notre mécontentement au serveur. Il y a tant de restaurants autour, qu’il vaut mieux éviter celui de l’hôtel … même en déplacement professionnel.
