Hotel Mercure Gare de Lyon

It is, without a doubt, THE most convenient place to stay if you need to catch a train at the Gare de Lyon the next day. Rooms are small but pretty modern and tastefuly, I would consider upgrading to a privilege room as the pillows are memory foam and the room is (supposedly) larger. The hotel isn’t anything fancy, but it’s modern and clean, something which we are big fans of, and the location was fantastic. Coming here from the airport was convenient too, as the Les Cars Air France shuttle bus, line 4, drops you at the Gare de Lyon, a mere 200 m or so away from the hotel. As for the distance from the front door of the hotel to the train tracks? 30 – 45 seconds, I kid you not. This was awesome.
Hotel staff were super nice (one kept me company by chatting through my jet lag period in the ungodly time of 3 am) and overall the service was friendly. I especially appreciated the fact that they are eager to answer your emails with questions prior to your arrival.
For a 3 star hotel, the price isn’t very cheap. But considering its convenient location and its overall status of being a Parisian hotel, it’s very reasonable. Oh, and free wifi. Awesome!

En fait j’y séjourne lorsqu’on retient pour moi et que je suis remboursé. C’est bien situé mais c’est relativement cher pour y rester longtemps. Je comprends que la proximité de la Gare de Lyon favorise la présence de touristes mais c’est un peu l’usine ! Pour moi c’est un passage de dépannage

Die Lage des Hotels ist perfekt wenn man mit dem TGV ankommt: links aus dem Bahnhof raus und schon ist man im Hotel. Deshalb auch sehr gute Metro und RER Anbindung. Aber auch die Geräuschbelästigung vom Bahnhof: Tag und Nacht. Das Personal an der Rezeption war nett und man hatte das Gefühl, willkommen zu sein. Zimmer sind eher klein aber, so wie das ganze Hotel, sehr sauber. Im Bad hat man genug Ablageflächen doch leider hat man an der Dusche einen Vorhang bzw. eine Abtrennung gespart und wenn man nicht sehr aufpasst wird der Badezimmerboden nach jeder Dusche nass. Das Frühstück ist ok, nichts besonderers, die üblichen Rühreier aus Pulver, jedoch leckere Croissants. Das Personal beim Frühstück wirkte allerdings sehr gestresst und war entsprechend sparsam mit der Freundlichkeit. Im Gegensatz zur Rezeption fühlte man sich dort nicht sehr willkommen.

It’s a three star hotel worth considering. I love the free wifi. The rooms are standard Paris small, but due to an excellent design offer enough space. Very clean for Paris standards. The rooms with the view to the station come with faint train noises and announcements, which I find remarkably good for falling asleep. Access to transportation via train and subway is ideal, because the hotel is right next to the train station. I would come back to this place if I had to go back to Paris.

praktisch, weil direkt am gare de lyon quasi fast teil des groessten bahnhofs europas (nach passagieraufkommen) drittgroesster der welt.
dementsprechend nicht fuer ruhigen schlaf zu empfehlen, da das rumpeln der zuege durch das ganze gebaeude geht. zdem hoert man das jingle vor dden bahnsteigansagen auch durch die schalllgeschuetzten fenster.
ansonsten relativ neu gemachte, kleine zimmer, sehr sauber und modern. man muss sich also zumindest nicht ekeln, wenn man hier wach im bett liegt. ;-)
bei privilege zimmern sind 4 getraenke in der minibar umsonst und man hat einen bademantel auf dem zimmer. ob das 80 euro mehr wert sind?

Un bon hôtel proche de la gare
Très bon hôtel, de belle chambre quoique un peu petite tout de même, mais bon on né passé pas la journée dans la chambre en vacance, j’avais réservez une chambre standard et quelle surprise en arrivant a la réception d’apprendre que nous étions surclassée en chambre privilège avec mini bar a volonté et surtout compris dans le prix de la chambre. La chambre nous est revenue a: 69 euros au lieu de 325 euros par nuit, franchement c’est vraiment un bon plan: PS: le personnel de l’hôtel est vraiment a votre écoute et on reconnais bien la griffe ACCOR.
