I probably will not be returning to this hotel the hotel is clean, rooms are mediocre, staff is friendly, but the noise level is horrible. Walls are very very very very thin. Everything can be heard. Doors are slamming, not by choice, the doors just slam when u don’t control the door. I can hear every time someone uses the restroom or take a shower. I also heard my neighbor urinate. Every morning I hear housecleaning banging everything. Although it is a nice hotel, this is my vacation, and I do not get the vacation feel.

The Husband and I stayed her during our European Spring Break. We stay for 4 nights in late March. It’s a nice location but a bit far out from the airport. It cost us about 48 euros to get here by taxi. It’s also a bit of a walk from the major tourist attractions. I suggest taking the subway. We arrived early and were not expecting our rooms to be ready. We were politely greeted and offered complimentary breakfast. They had a small room where we could store our luggage. Upon our return they gave us a room with two twin beds pushed together and offered to change our room the following day. The Husband is 6’4″ so he looked kind of funny in the tiny bed. The following day, the person at the front desk had no idea what were talking about. She was very polite and changed our room once we explained what happened the day before. Our second room had a cute little balcony with grass. Pros: friendly staff, delicious breakfast, clean rooms, free Wi-Fi. Cons: breakfast was kind of pricey, the half glass divider on bathroom tub causes water to spray out everywhere, the elevator is tiny, and there is no refrigerator to keep any of those delicious goodies you buy and want to eat later. Of all the hotels we stayed in during our 2 week trip this was the nicest.

We give it five stars not because it is a luxury property with perfect appointments but because it the fit the bill perfectly for our visit. We stayed there over Christmas/New Years with our 2 college-aged children. Having taken the overnight train from Perpignon we arrived very early in the morning, tired and hours before official check-in. We had booked two rooms, one for us and one for the kids. Initially the desk clerk could not help us with a room. However the day manager(Marion or Marilyn?)overhearing our conversation suggested that if we would take two singles, one for each child(19 and 22) they could have them ready within the hour. This was an absolute blessing. We had a chance to a have a quick bite and then at least have a place to take showers and get ready for the day. We appreciated her going out of her way to accomodate us. The hotel itself is in a great location as previous posts mentioned, near both the St. Georges metro and Pigalle. There are a number of nice places to eat very closeby. It is close to a number of attractions. You can walk to a great deal, the Opera House, Montmarte and Sacre Coeur. The rooms are quite comfortable, not large but nicely appointed. The beds are comfortable and the linens were nice. Towels are a bit on the tiny side. The walls are thin and you can hear the activities in other rooms. Frankly this was not a problem as we usually returned exhausted each evening. We had a balcony and our children both had views of a lovely courtyard. the breakfast was a high standard of the usual European-hotel morning fare, breads, juices, meats, cheese, cereal all served in a comfortable lobby room. It was a great bonus that they served beverages and pastries in the evening.

Nice hotel in a great neighborhood. Excellent localization. Very close to the st-georges subway station and there is a velib station nearby too. The room is pretty confortable, nice size and good bathroom, there is no closet though. Walking distance to many bistros and bakeries in the area. The staff are very friendly and helpful. everything was perfect! I have read some reviews which were talking that the walls were in some way and it was possible to hear from the rooms everything what happens in the hall. It has been confirmed during my stay but it’s not a big problem. I would only consider it as an attention point. I would stay here again definitely(or try another Astotel hotel)!!
