First of all, if you’ve been to the Huilerie Leblanc shop on rue Jacob, this is not the same shop or location. Instead, you’ll find a shop named Tomat’s inside the courtyard. Tomat’s sells the full line of J. Leblanc oils and other spendy specialty foods. We came for the pistachio oil, which is simply amazing. I was buying a couple of bottles as gifts and they wrapped them up nicely in bubble wrap.

This tiny store packs a terrific assortment of nut oils and olive oil. They are not blends of oil, but full on oil, like pistachio and hazel nut. The English speaking staff was super helpful, explaining everything very well. The oils are all done by hand the old way with stone wheels. You can taste to your heart’s content. You would be hard pressed to find this quality of oils for the price anywhere.
