Impossible Project Space Paris

Everything that gives «hipsters» a bad name can be found at Impossible Project Space. Starting with lazy «too cool for school» white girls with shitty attitudes laying out on chairs, smoking cigarettes, and Instagramming, who are immediately bothered when you walk in the store and interrupt their conversation. God forbid they have to actually provide customer service to guests. Ripped jeans, raggedy tshirts with a chip on their shoulder, get mad at YOU, (the customer) for having an issue with the product.
I purchased an item online (A Polaroid Camera) to replace my old one, which had broken during my trip to Iceland, and the «new» refurbished camera that Impossible Project sold me (for over $ 150), gave out messed up photographs. After changing out the film (incase the problem was the film and not the camera), and taking the camera to three different Camera Repair Shops where experts tried to fix the problem, the one common diagnostic was the same: IT’S NOT THE FILM, THE CAMERA IS BROKEN.
However, hipster central Space in Paris (Impossible Store), not only denied that the camera was broken, but insisted (arrogantly) that I just didn’t know how to use a camera.
I have owned Polaroid cameras for years before these girls were born, and yet, when I said «I can assure you this camera is broken, if you don’t believe me, please call any of the three repair shops where we took it to» one of the girls rolled her eyes and between a puff of her cigarette said: «Whatever! Whatever, you just don’t know how to use it. It’s ok we’ll exchange it for you.»
My jaw dropped. I have never encountered worst customer service. Where on earth, does a business representative smoke in your face, roll their eyes (because a customer wants an issue resolved) and says «Whatever Whatever, you just don’t know how to use the camera» I didn’t know what to say. At that moment, I decided it wasn’t worth arguing, they had been so rude, but they agreed to exchange the camera (despite their efforts to deny, diminish and absolve themselves from responsibility).
The unfortunate thing, is that Impossible products are bad, whether you buy the cameras, or the film, it’s all bad quality, and cheap. I get that they are still trying to develop a good formula for their film (since one of the chemical compounds was outlawed years ago and therefore the original formula discontinued), but you shouldn’t have poor quality products out on the market, or if the formula wasn’t fully developed. Impossible should invest more into bettering the chemical process of the polaroid film before selling overpriced, expensive bad quality film and diminishing their brand. Also, at least have humility to offer quality customer service. Arrogant, stuck up hispters, don’t really help the brand, it only makes it kitschy and a fad.

Alors avant de vous lancer dedans, je vous recommande très vivement de vous renseigner et d’être sûr que ce n’est pas juste une lubie.
Avis aux amateur de la photographie et du polaroid, la boutique Impossible Project Space est un vrai temple de l’instantanée.
Impossible Project a pour mission de rénover et parfois customiser des anciens modèles de caméras dans des ateliers aux Etats-​Unis et en Europe pour les rendre comme neufs
MUST HAVE
Pour ma part je suis tombée amoureuse du SX — 70 original pliable en cuir marron qui est juste sublime. Il est un peu susceptible et assez fragile donc si vous voulez quelque chose de plus robustes et qui pourra tenir en soirée (par exemple je recommande un Pola type 600 (SLR 680 ou SUN 660)
MONEY MONEY MONEY
C’est vraiment pas donné en passion pour de l’instantanée. On est loin des prix des mini fuji qui peuvent s’acheter en masse en chine pour pas grand chose.
Ici les prix des caméras tourne autour de 150 — 450 euros (sans parler des accessoires qui vont avec). Les accessoires peuvent aller jusqu’à 200 euros facilement en plus.
Les polaroids coûtent entre 20 — 25 euros par boîte selon les éditions (comptez 8 pola dans une boîte)
LES PETITS +
— Beaucoup de modèles sont disponibles, dont certains non trouvables sur leur site en ligne, car customisables sur place par les employés en fonction des fêtes (noël, nouvel an). Donc si vous êtes intéressés par acheter un modèle «unique», je vous recommande d’aller en boutique vers la fin de l’année pour des modèles custom.
— Si vous demandez des conseils, le personnel pourra vous recommander et conseiller en fonction de vos envies, besoin et budget.
— Personnellement je vous recommande d’acheter en ligne sur le site officiel ou dans la boutique car vous avez la garantie impossible d’un an avec et elle est bien utile !
LES PETITS —
— ça coûte cher
— les pellicule sont assez sensibles, il faut bien les garder au frais et parfois certains batchs sont juste «mauvais» et les couleurs prennent mal ou peuvent avoir des tâches. ce qui fait qu’on se retrouve à avoir payer 20e la boîte de polaroid pour du vent. C’est frustrant parfois.

La boutique la plus décalée de la capitale: le maître des lieux n’en est pas à son coup d’essai et les passionnés de photographie retrouverons avec plaisir moustache et accent autrichien pour leur prodiguer mille bons conseils pour réussir leurs photos instantanées…
