Jantchi

Sur recommandation d’une amie, nous sommes allés à Jantchi pour y gouter de délicieux plats Coréens. L’intérieur est reposant, mention spéciale aux emplacements de fond avec la verrière bien qu’elle soit un peu sale. La restaurant propose des plats végétarien ou à base de viande. J’ai commandé des ravioles en entrée et un bibimbap, plat très populaire en Corée. Je passerais sur les ravioles qui etaient tres bon mais qui n’a rien d’exceptionnel. Le bibimbap, plat à base de riz, épinard, soja, sésame etc. était juste excellent, de même pour la quantité qui était largement suffisante ! Tout ca pour un menu à 12.40.
Le seul bémol est l’attente. Il pleuvait localement et le gérant nous a fait attendre dehors.

Très bon restaurant coréen ! J’adore leur bibimbap. Et les prix sont abordables.
On fait un peu la queue pour entrer mais ça vaut le détour.

J’ai pris le menu déjeuner bibimbab et le prix est très abordable ! (12 € 40) .
Le menu propose trois entrées au choix, j’ai pris le calamar qui était assez bon.
Ce restaurant est impeccable pour goûter au saveurs coréennes !

Les menus proposés sont nombreux, j’ai choisit un menu D, du poulet frit avec du riz, et des raviolis en entrée. Tout est très bon, les légumes servis a coté permettent un bon équilibre dans le repas. Les quantités sont importantes, je n’ai pas pu prendre de dessert !
Le service est agréable, les tables né sont pas trop proches et la déco est sympa.
Les prix sont corrects, autour de 12 – 15 € les menus. Par contre les boissons font vite monter l’addition !
Quelques points négatifs quand même. Nous avons attendu 20 min dehors alors que nous étions seulement deux et qu’il y avait des tables libres, et la file d’attente est super mal organisée ! La carte bleue est acceptée à partir de 25 € …

Restaurant avec un très bon rapport qualité. Toujours de la queue devant le restaurant mais né prenez pas peur et attendez, c’est en réalité assez rapide: ¹⁰⁄₁₅ min. Le service est rapide comme tous les restaus de Sainte Anne
Des menus le midi entre 12 et 15 euros: vous pouvez choisir un bimbimbap, un kimchijigae, japchae etc… Les raviolis en entrée sont succulents.
Je recommande particulierement les bimbimbaps, et le yukgaejang (si vous pouvez manger piquant).

Deco chaleureuse, service efficace et rapide.
Super bon barbecue coréen et j’aime prendre en entrée l’omelette aux fruits de mer .
C’est tout simplement un bon restaurant Coréen.

Ça fait maintenant plusieurs années que nous avons l’habitude d’aller dans ce restaurant quand nous voulons manger coréen, les tarifs étant plus que correctes.
C’est un peu l’habitude dans tout le quartier, mais il vous faudra faire la queue ici.
Le service est efficace. La salle un peu bruyante à l’étage car la hauteur sous plafond est réduite.
Je n’y ai testé que le bimbipap, vraiment bon, accompagné de kimtchi et autres légumes marinés.
Il faudrait peut-​être que je me laisse tenter par une fondue ou un barbecue tout de même…

Meh. Doesn’t even come close to what you can get in NYC. The best authentic food of course is in South Korea. Waitress was rude too.

Jantchi est pour nous une référence!
Pour nous il fait parti du top 3 des bimbimbap! (Les autres midam [11e] et Kim Kim[12e])
Les plats sont savoureux et les accompagnements délicieux!
Il n’y a rien à dire si ce n’est qu’à chaque fois nos papilles s’éveillent et qu’on prend un aller simple vers le plaisir même en changeant de plat!
Les raviolis valent le détour!
L’accueil est simple, chaleureux et rapide à la fois.
Les prix corrects pour ce genre d’endroit, c’est notre resto coréen favori.

L’accueil est chaleureux et agréable malgré le nombre de clients important. Il faut y aller avant 19h30−20h sinon, il y a la queue pour le restaurant. Ça montre le succès de ce restaurant.
Il y a un large choix sur la carte. J’ai opté pour un bibimbap avec un steak tartare. Le plat est accompagné d’un assortiment de 6 coupelles contenant des condiments (kimchi, haricot, choux mariné, etc…). Très bon et copieux. On a été servi rapidement. Il y a une bonne ambiance par contre, c’est très bruyant donc il peut être difficile d’entendre ce qu’on se dit sans un peu hausser la voix. C’est mon second restaurant coréen et par rapport au premier, celui-​ci en vaut largement la peine. Si vous né savez pas où manger le midi ou dans la soirée et que vous êtes à Pyramides, ce restaurant coréen est fait pour vous.

Journée entre amis, nous décidons de manger coréen.
C’est un peu au hasard que nous rentrons dans le Jantchi.
La déco est sympa. L’espace est optimisé pour placer un maximum de tables (faut aimer être proche de ses voisins, mais c’est assez courant dans le quartier car les restaurants sont souvent pleins à craquer).
L’accueil est sympathique, le service est rapide, efficace et sympathique aussi.
Niveau des plats et menus. Un choix satisfaisant, des prix très corrects. J’opte pour un menu bibimpap avec des raviolis en entrée et un thé au gingembre.
Tout était très bon, très bien assaisonné. Je me suis régalée. Les quantités sont juste comme il faut.
Le thé était un peu fort en gingembre à mon goût, si bien que j’ai fini par le diluer au cours de mon repas, et je l’ai davantage apprécié ainsi.
J’ai beaucoup apprécié mon expérience dans ce petit restaurant. C’était bien bon et pas si cher. Par contre, bémol: la CB acceptée qu’à partir de 25 € !!! Snif

De passage sur Paris et ayant l’envie de tester un resto coréen, j’ai testé le Jantchi et je né regrette absolument pas !!
La salle est agréable, les prix sont ultra correct comparé à la qualité et à la quantité servie !
J’ai testé un Bibimpap avec du boeuf et c’étai très difficile de tout finir.
Mon plat était composé de riz et de légume, plus de fins morceaux de boeuf qui, je l’avoue, étaient difficiles à attraper avec les baguettes.
J’ai adoré les accompagnements et ce voyage culinaire m’a complètement ravie !

Un excellent restaurant coréen dans le brouhaha des restaurants japonais du quartier de Pyramides!
Nous trouverons toujours un petit peu de queue devant la vitrine, mais étant donné que le restaurant compte pas mal de couverts, avec un étage supérieur, ça avance vite.
Les menus sont complets et la cuisine très bonne! Les serveuses sont aimables et rapides. Le lieu est lumineux et agréable!

Really great Korean food! And this is coming from a Korean. :) It gets very busy in the evenings, so I would either make a reservation or come right when they open. If you’re going to order the bibimbap, I would choose the spicy pork version. It has the most flavor and just the right amount of spicy oil to allow you to mix all of the components in the dish together (yes, it is meant to be mixed!).

Rien d ‘extraordinaire ravilois frits et ensuite bibimpad (très très chaud) service très rapide pas très aimable .
Tout est déposé en même temps. Le bibimpad boeuf correct manquant quand même de saveur .

Came at 8, there was a short line. Your whole party has to be present to go in. Upstairs was really warm. If you ask to turn on air con, they will, though waitress said French ppl don’t like air cons.
We got two bibimbaps, one soondoobu, and one dwenjangchigae. And a pajeon.
Service by one young gal and young man downstairswas curt. The older woman was nicer.
Pajeon was deep fried. It’s not traditional korean. We thought it was good.
Kimchi was fresh and good. All the other banchan were less salty than traditional Korean, which we liked. The soybean sprouts tasted a lil old, though.
Main dishes took forever to come out! I don’t know if it’s always this busy. We went on a Monday and the upstairs and downstairs were filled up.
Both pork and beef bibimbap were good. Kimchichigae was very porky but did the job.
I didn’t like soondoobu bc .it was unlike any other soondoobu I’ve taste. It had a clean taste though.
She gave us extra banchan and rice. All together great and delish! Would come again!

Warning the service here is INCREDIBLY slow. But to be fair they warned us that it might take awhile to have ur order taken. Made no sense though because the restaurant was half empty upstairs and it was 7pm on a friday.
Anyways onto the food after it took years to come. The appetizer we tried the Korean seafood crêpe. There were 3 shrimps n like maybe 3 calamari rings in it. Sloppy and pretty tasteless unless u put soy sauce on it.
Before your main comes they brought six small side dishes like typical Korean restaurants do. Always a fun plus in my books! The eggplant one was so good! I could’ve had 3 dishes of it alone. My main I had the veggie bibimbap. This was fantastic and had a great assortment of veggies. Probably the best bibimbap I’ve had in Paris so far :) would definitely come again to try the other ones

Great place for Korean cuisine. My wife was in need of Korean fix and she told me this place is probably the best tasting place of all the places she has tried outside of Korea. Two thumbs way up!

we always go for lunch. i always get the bbq coréen with the spicy calamari salad (around 13 euros with sides) and it never disappoints. food is fresh and authentic. portions are ideal and service is quick and friendly.

Fan de Drama Coréen depuis ma douce adolescence je pleurais au désespoir de né pouvoir manger comme eux. J’ai même entrepris de faire Home made des plats traditionnels tel que le Bimbibap ou les Kimbaps (makis), mais bon. je né suis pas coréenne.
Ayant initié ma cousine à cette lubie culinaire, celle ci m’a dénichée lors d’une de mes visites sur Paris, ce restaurant coréen. Enfin, je pausais le pied dans un établissement proposant des vrais plats digne de ce nom ! Mon coeur a longuement balancé, mais l’appel de la viande à eu raison de moi, et sincèrement, je n’ai pas été déçu.Le Barbecue coréen, juste, pourquoi? Nous pauvres européen n’avons pas pensée plus tôt à ces petites planchas toute ronde. Je n’ai pas envie de vous dévoiler ce qui accompagne cette viande, mais s’il vous plait, si vous êtes rue Saint-​Anne, pensez à Élodie la Unilocaleuse bordelaise et franchissez la porte.

J’ai vécu en Corée du Sud pendant 6 mois et ce restaurant est l’un des meilleurs à Paris. La soupe de Kimchi est excellente si vous aimez manger épicé. Le menu du midi est à un prix raisonnable.
I lived in Korea for 6 months and this is one of the best Korean restaurant in Paris. Kimchi soup is really good if you like spicy food. For lunch the price of the meal is quite affordable.

Très bon restaurant Coréen. Testé à deux un mercredi midi, nous avons chacun opté pour un menu avec une entrée et un plat (11 € environ).
Pour l’entrée: choix entre des raviolis japonais (gyoza, servis par 4) ou des vermicelles; Pour le plat, plusieurs plats traditionnels (dont je né me rappelle plus des noms) comme le bibimbap, il faut ajouter 1 € 50 si vous voulez de la viande (poulet, bœuf…)
Nous avons choisis les raviolis et deux bibimbap au bœuf qui étaient accompagnés de plusieurs micro plats. Le goût y est et la portion également; on en ressort le ventre plein! Les prix sont très raisonnables. De plus les serveurs sont de vrais coréens, sont accueillants et servent les plats très rapidement. Par contre l’attente peut être longue durant les heures de pointe (nous avions eu de la chance: seulement 10min d’attente) et ce, malgré les deux étages du restaurant.

This is my first review, and I only made it because I was so horrified by my experience at this restaurant. Okay, so first thing I want to say to be fair about this place is that the food was good, and was sufficiently spicy which is a rare thing to find in Paris. However, that’s the end of any positive thing I have to say about the place. First, the food, for what it was, was extremely expensive, definitely not worth the cost. And more importantly, the customer service was atrocious. The menu does not include all the ingredients in each meal, this wouldn’t be a problem except that they neglect to include major parts of the dish. My friend ordered a soup that was listed as a beef soup, what she didn’t realize that it also included a ton of clams, a fact that was not noted anywhere and was a large part of the dish. She has a mild allergy to shellfish, not severe enough that it would be a problem if a tiny bit of shellfish would affect her, but as a main part of a dish, it would make her sick. Once it arrived, she was horrified to see this and asked the waitress to exchange the food for something else as she was completely mislead and was unable to eat the dinner she was given. The waitress gave a general «You should have mentioned any allergy at first» before saying that we needed to speak to the manager. The manager came over and proceeded to lecture my friend on the fact that it was entirely her fault and that she should have told the waitress straight up that she had allergies. He argued with her for close to 10 minutes, yelling at her and blaming her for the fault in the middle of the restaurant. Regardless of whether she should have told them that she was allergic to shellfish at first, many people do have food restrictions, including religious, that prevent them from eating food such as shellfish and for it to have been such a major part of the meal and not put on the menu, and for their absolutely ludicrous argument that not all major parts of a dish need to be on a menu, is horrific. Their rude treatment of my friend, especially for something that was explicitly the fault of the restaurant, is unacceptable. I definitely would not recommend coming here. There are other good Korean restaurants on the street with much better customer service and a more welcoming atmosphere. Avoid at all costs.

Super adresse près de la fameuse rue Sainte Anne ! Ici, tout est coréen de la carte aux serveurs, en passant par le sèche parapluie.
On a partagé une fondue de boeuf et légumes, c’était absolument délicieux ! La fondue est servie avec plein de légumes marinés à côté et un bol de riz. Le service est rapide et efficace mais on prend le temps de déguster son plat.
Un vrai voyage des sens …

The korean food here is very solid. It is moderately priced and the location and décor made my experience very enjoyable. This restaurant is located between Opera and Pyramides and is surrounded by several other restaurants that are not nearly at the same level.
While the food is not as authentic as conventional Korean dishes (duh) the bibimbap was extremely satisfying.
If you are craving Korean food in Paris this is the place to go, otherwise I advise you to try something that may have the extra «wow» factor.

Alors après avoir testé pas mal d’autres Coréen, Bong, Miam Miam, L’Arbre de Sel etc. je me suis lancé dans l’aventure Jantchi.
Donc étant Rue St Anne au lieu de choisir un Japonais, on va au Jantchi qu’on avait repéré depuis quelques temps sur Unilocal,étant apparemment considéré comme le meilleur faiseur de Bibimbap. Avec un menu tout petit prix né dépassant pas les 15 € on peut vous dire que ma comparse de cette aventure culinaire et moi même on s’est régalé.
Un très bon Bibimbap copieux, avec une viande finement cuite ça fond dans la bouche et au fond du bol le riz est légèrement caramélisé c’est ce qu’on appelle de l’OR de par chez moi.
Nous avons aussi pris des raviolis coréen, ceux là était frit, cette méthode de cuisson différente des raviolis qu’on avait l’habitude de prendre nous a convaincu.
Et je suis donc d’accord avec les autres il s’agit d’un des meilleurs Bibimbap de Paris.
Je né vais pas m’étendre plus sur le sujet, je le conseille vivement.
Service impeccable de plus, efficace, rapide et poli. C’est très très appréciable.

Partis pour un japonais, nous nous sommes finalement repliés vers un coréen et je né regrette absolument pas d’avoir changé d’avis ! Un petit coup d’oeil sur l’appli Unilocal avant d’entrer nous a rapidement conforté sur notre choix.
Premier facteur de réussite, c’était plein. Il était 21h30, nous étions 6 alors forcément fallait s’y attendre… Le serveur nous à demandé d’attendre une dizaine de minutes et il avait vu juste. Onze minutes plus tard, nous montons à l’étage et avant même d’être assis je savais que ça allait être bon ! Pourquoi? Parce qu’il y avait 1000 saveurs et arômes qui embaumaient la pièces, vite vite le menu !
Nous avons partagé plusieurs entrées comme des ravioles de porc, des beignets au kimchi et fruits de mer et autres petites assiettes (aubergine, soja,…).
Pour ce qui est du plat, le bibimbap a rencontré un large succès ! J’ai choisi pour ma part celui au boeuf. Pour ceux qui se demandent ce que c’est, le bibimbap est un plat très populaire en Corée composé de riz, de légumes sautés et de viande, le tout servi dans une petit marmite très chaude. Le concept est de tout mélanger une fois servi puisque cela continu à cuire tellement c’est chaud ! Un vrai petit délice que certains aiment pimenté.
Le repas était relativement copieux mais excellent. Je n’ai pas parlé du service et du restaurant en lui même mais là non plus nous n’avons pas été déçus. La salle et grande, clean avec une déco épurée et moderne. Le service est rapide compte tenu du nombre de couverts.
Comptez une vingtaine d’euros par personnes pour dîner ce qui est tout à fait correct pour cette qualité là. J’y reviendrai !

I’m Korean. So I can’t rate Korean restaurants against the benchmarks that are my Mom’s superfreakinamazing cooking nor the original versions of different Korean dishes I had in their respective regions of Korea.
I am rating this place based on the fact that it is located in Paris, the price point, the quality of the ingredients and the state of Stomach post dining. It is true that sometimes delicious Korean food I eat out at restaurants give me tummy aches due to the MSG and the excessive species they use.
This place gets a 4.5 star rating. I only ordered the pork bibimbap but banchan that came before and the the ingredients in the «sot» (pot) were both delicious. Where it lacks half a star is the fact that it came in a fake dol sot meaning it wasn’t the actual hot stone bowl. But since a few days have passed since I actually ate here, I’m now unsure if the menu reads dolsot bibimbap or just a regular bibimbap. If it reads a regular bibimbap then I apologize for wrongly accusing the establishment.
Another star off of not accompanying the bibimbap with a small bowl of soup — whether it is miso based or egg and fish based. It is not customers for Korean places to serve just the rice dish alone — we just don’t eat rice without soup. If this place was truly living up to it’s reputation was one of the best customer rated Korean restaurants in Paris then they HAVE to serve at least a mini bowl of soup as a good gesture.
This made me realize that the Resto is definitely doing well (that is why they do not need to serve the extra-​somethin’) and that they cater mostly to non Korean customers. My dish was around 14 Euros and I did not get a tummy ache when I got home :)

Great spot for Korean in the city. Had the spicy pork, soybean stew, and bibimbap. All delicious and very authentic!
Went back a second time, and the food was great again! If you’re there with another person, I recommend the bulgogi jeong-​gol (stew/​soup)!

I am amazed by how many Korean restaurants were opened since our visit in 2005. Back then there were only two but now there seem to be more then two dozen in Paris.
When I arrived at the restaurant it was not quite 7pm and several people were outside waiting to get in. With a half hour, after seating, the place was packed. I noticed many people were also going upstairs.
My spicy pork Dolsot bibimbop was so delicious. I did not need to add any gochujang. They even had spicy bean sprout for one of the side dishes. I could easily eat here one meal a day while in Paris.

Very nice Korean restaurant, we had lunch menu which were quite tasty and authentic with very reasonable price. Service were good and quick too. Definitely will go back!

A really good Korean place, really!
It is located in the Asian district between Pyramides and Opera. You will pass by several Japanese restaurants (looking very appetizing too!) but I am glad we resisted and tried this awesome Korean restaurant!
The décor is well laid off, simple and authentic (you’ll even find some Korean journals — if you can read it!). There is a lot of small tables and seats, but though the lack of space you don’t feel oppressed at all thanks to the big window, the open kitchen, the stairs leading upstairs to a second room or downstairs to the bathroom…
The waiters welcomed us right away with a smile and remained friendly our entire lunch long. They are very efficient and we didn’t have to wait AT ALL for them to take our orders and to bring the drinks and meals! We were very agreeably surprised.
As for the food: it was really good! :) Again, simple and authentic.
We went for the 11.50 € Bibimbap menu with an entry (careful the spicy salad is indeed VERY spicy!) and a bibimbap served with 3 small salads on the side. It was one of the best I ever had! In a very hot bowl, you’ll get rice at bottom, veggies (and omelette) nicely spread on it, and meat on top if you order it. The portions are in the perfect size, and it tastes good, feels healthy and you can tell the products are fresh and tasty!
You have to pay an extra 1.50 € if you wish meat in your bowl, but even though it remains cheap for the quality and quantity you get.
You’ll leave this restaurant with a happy stomach and the nice sensation to have eaten some healthy and true Korean food!

Came here to get some Asian food after too much French food and was surprised by how popular it was. Before the restaurant opened, there was a line several parties long at the door. By the time I left after eating, the restaurant was full.
Good Korean food with friendly service.

The food was good. However I felt like I’m not getting the most of what I really want since I can’t read French nor Korean. :(The dish I got was very flavorful. I ordered the kimchi soup with rice. Their japchae was delicious but quite oily! Also, I really like their side dishes, very tasty!

Okay, so being in Paris, you’re going to pay more for anything that’s not French, or anything that’s specifically a restaurant and not a café/​brasserie.
However, after having lived in Korea for a year, I get the hankering from time to time for some good Korean food. I carefully looked through the reviews on here and on an equivalent French website, and this place seemed to be one of, if not the best Korean restaurant in Paris. Now, I have nothing else to compare it to except authentic Korean food, since this it the first time I’ve had Korean in Paris. I wasn’t let down, though.
The restaurant is quite modern and quite nothing like the inside of a real Korean restaurant. Porcelain bowls? Glass water glasses? Glass pitchers? This is clearly Paris, and not Korea, the land of metal everything and hanging vents over your barbecue table.
I brought my date here because I wanted to share Korean cuisine with her and she’d never had it before. We ordered japchae (), regular bibimbap (), and dak (chicken) bulgogi (). The japchae was spot on, though served as an appetizer (entrée) whereas I’ve usually seen it as a main course in Korea. The bibimbap was dolsot (hotpot) style, and was pretty good. Too bad they didn’t put a raw egg on top, but that’s a question of style rather than authenticity. The dak bulgogi was really good. I’d seen dakgalbi on the menu and it was really expensive, and I was very surprised to find that the dak bulgogi was very much like dakgalbi, of course minus the ricecake. It had zucchini in it, which I can’t ever recall seeing in much Korean food, but in terms of the authenticity of the food, that was the ONLY thing I could think of that wasn’t authentic.
The food was well spiced, served in a pretty timely manner, and presented well. The service was good, and I got a few laughs out of them when I ordered in Korean and complimented the food in Korean. Not something they expect from a white guy in Paris, I suppose? (As a side note, I always like that no matter how bad your Korean is, they always tell you that you speak good Korean whenever you try. Very much Korean!)
Highly recommended. Come when it opens at 7PM (well, for the dinner shift) or else you may be faced with a longer wait for your food since the place fills up quickly. It has a reputation, and for a good reason!

Great little Korean («Coreen» in French) restaurant in what appears to be a Japanese part of Paris. It’s located on Rue Therese. My wife and I went one night and got there a little early… There were already 4 people lined up waiting to get in! We came back 15 minutes later and they already had 8 people seated… A good sign in my book. Anyway, we ordered the Bibimbap and Bulgogi (12.50 € each, not bad for Paris) along with Tangsooyuk (9 €?, I forget). Overall the meal was plenty tasty and sufficient… Definitely expensive compared to what we usually get in LA, but very reasonably priced for Paris. Even the banchan was decent — the kimchi was a little sour (shuh) for my tastes, but not bad. One interesting note: the gotchujang (red pepper paste) had a strong wine taste to it, which I’ve never had before… It was interesting and fitting for Paris!
The interior was nicely decorated, the staff were nice and fast, and the food was good (portions: Bulgogi and Tangsooyuk were a little on the small side, but the Bibimbap was actually pretty normal). Another note: by the time we finished eating about an hour later, the restaurant had pretty much filled up! I would say this place is a solid 4 stars for food, but given the price, the authenticity, the interior and service, I give it 5 — plus, I was REALLY craving Korean and this place satisfied!

I’m a definite fan of this restaurant. It’s on a side road from the more popular Rue Saint Anne of Japantown in Paris. It’s a modernized and staffed with young and very nice people. The food is just delicious. You can order your bibimbap or your korean hot pot noodle soup (for 2) (guksujungol). Anyways, you can get a variety of stuff along with the little dishes of korean «snacks» /​food items with the meal. The seafood omelette was just great, maybe the best one I’ve had since the other ones were typically bland, cold and just crap. The price is great, you can get a great meal under 10 euros. You can share a hot pot soup and leave ridiculously stuffed at 15 euros/​each. Just go, it’s so great.
