I dont like crepes lol. Never have, dont ever care to have them. Buuut when in Paris, you just gotta. Super small inside but cute! It’s loud its fun and people are having a great time, i loved the vibe. We had a sparking cider which was delish, and savory crepes that were good! I think just because i dont like them in general, it was hard for me to be like OMGSOGOOD(like ive been doing with all the food here so far lol). For dessert i had the vanilla ice cream which was BOMB. & their homemade whipped cream oh baby! so delish!

Was looking for a creperie around this area(that’s open on a Monday– apparently a rarity in Paris!) and found this little gem. Although not as good as Little Breitzh, it comes close! We ordered: –jug of cider(cidre) –one savory crêpe with egg, spinach cream, and cheese(œuf, crème d’épinards, fromage) –one savory crêpe with mozzarella, tomato, basil(mozzarella, tomates, basilic) –one Nutella –one butter sugar lemon(beurre, sucre, citron) Very good! Very filling, great service, great buckwheat and regular dough. Would come here again. The place was also popular with locals, which is always a good sign :) Note: they only accept CC(CB) for purchases above € 12.

They said this was a place to go get crepes, so we did, and it was not a mistake. The place is a little kitschy, but it is fun, young and fresh, even though the crowd was quite varied. But the service was friendly and lovely and patient. We got a sweet crêpe(duh) filled with sweet stewed apples, topped with salted caramel and melty ice cream. It was a dream. The apples maintained a little tartness and the tang made the salted caramel more layered and dynamic. It was just plain delish.

Not good. I had both the savoury and sweet crepes and both were bad. They r SO cheap here because the crêpe was pretty empty inside. Overall pretty tasteless. The savoury crêpe was really soggy too. Ew. If u want a good crêpe go to josselin across the street! That place has the BEST crepes u will eat in Paris. I promise you: D

Amazing. Just amazing. I had a savory vegetarian crêpe and a sweet crêpe and both were just perfect, filling, huge, ridiculously delicious. The service is also fantastic. I dropped my knife and had a new one in my hand in – no exaggeration – two seconds. Very kind waitresses, waiters and cooks. A savory crêpe costs from about 5⁄6 euros to 10 euros. The most expensive sweet crêpe was about 9 euros I believe. Not expensive and well worth it. A single savory crêpe for about 7 – 8 euros is filling enough to be a compete dinner. I will be coming back tomorrow to try two more crepes.

The first spot my boyfriend and I decided to eat at was this café. We heard that you must try crepes in Paris, and so we did(since this was just blocks away from our hotel). Spaces are tight so be warned. The atmosphere was loud and lively, it had a very home-y vibe. The staff was friendly and gave us a smile all the time. Apparently we fit right into Paris since we were given the French menu so we has to ask for the English version. They specialize in crepes. Sure, they have sandwiches and salads but just get the crepes, savory or sweet. The boyfriend ordered a crêpe with cheese, sausage and egg while I ordered one with cheese, spinach and egg. When it was served, the size of the crêpe was bigger than our heads. The crêpe was crunchy and the filling was flavored nicely. Honestly, you would look at it and think you wouldn’t be full but when you’re halfway into that crêpe, you start feeling content. Our first experience with crepes were great and satisfying and it didn’t end here…

One of the best meals I’ve had in Paris! Decided to eat here for dinner over Josselin(the line was 6 people long while Creperie Bretonne had ~5 seats available). The restaurant is small and very packed; be prepared to squeeze and climb to get to your seat! Little trinkets, plates, and small decorations pay homage to Brittany and add to the homey, authentic feel. I came with 2 other friends and we decided to share a bottle of the brut apple cidre to share. I ordered the Crêpe Suzanne, which was featured as the crêpe du jour(chicken, crème fraîche, mushrooms, mozarella, and black pepper) and a dessert crêpe with apples, caramel, and vanilla ice cream. After ordering, the food came within 15 minutes, which was very short considering how busy the place was but seemed like eternity as we watched everyone around us enjoying their wonderful dishes. Both crepes were phenomenal. The Crêpe Suzanne had the perfect amount of filling, was perfectly crispy, and I could tell the ingredients were fresh and quality. I thought I was too full to even think about dessert but decided to share it with one of my friends; that crêpe too was perfect, with the apples somehow cooked into a delicious purée and the ice cream and caramel au beurre salé mixing(and melting) together. The cider went perfectly well with the whole meal(we had originally been planning on getting the pear cider but decided to ask our server, who recommended the apple brut). The service was excellent, something pretty hard to come by in many restaurants, especially very busy ones. Overall very pleased with my dining experience here and will definitely come back soon!

If you’re staying in Montparnasse it probably means you’re going to try a few crepes. La Creperie Bretonne served up a solid crêpe that was crisp, buttery, and delicious. We tried a sweet and a salty crêpe – the butter caramel and the ham, cheese, and egg crêpe. They were both very good and pretty filling considering how small the portion size might appear. I haven’t tried the famous Creperie Josselin because when I walked by, I saw a huge stack of pre-made crepes. NOONE likes a pre-made crêpe! One of the whole points of a crêpe is that they’re freshly made. I’ve often discovered that this is the case – the famous place is not always the best place. La Creperie Bretonne is a great alternative to its famous neighbor and you likely won’t have to wait very long either. I don’t think it’s worth a trip out here just for this creperie, but if you’re in the area and want a solid crêpe, you can’t go wrong with La Creperie Bretonne.

After a year and many, many crêpes in Paris, this was by far ma crêperie préférée /my favorite creperie– delicious, not too pricy, friendly service(a rarity in Paris), and authentic. I first came here on recommendation from a friend’s host mother; she told us to steer away from the tourist-laden Josselin in favor of this one. Since then, it kept popping up in conversations about the best hidden gems of Paris. Once, when I was grabbing lunch with a friend, we started talking to the elderly man sitting next to us. Turns out he was from Bretagne, and this is the only crêperie he’ll go to in Paris. Pretty great! It’s tiny inside, and true to Paris, tables are packed in tightly, so it’s also pretty loud. The kitchen(really, the griddle) is open and right in the front, and it’s fun to watch the chef cook while you wait. It’s hard to make recommendations, because everything I’ve ever had here has been delicious! If you’re only in Paris for a short time and aren’t feeling too adventurous, you shouldn’t miss the complète– a classic and simple crêpe with shredded cheese, ham, and a fried egg. Also not to miss is anything with caramel au beurre salé, another classic from Brittany. Whether you’re in Paris for vacation or have lived there for years, this place is a must-go! One of my favorite discoveries from my time abroad

On a recent trip to Paris, we dropped in to try a sweet crêpe for a midday dessert. We were warmly greeted when we arrived, and service was very quick. My husband and I split the salted caramel chocolate crêpe, which came out in just a couple of minutes and was absolutely heavenly! While I can’t speak to the cider or savory crepes, it was a nice atmosphere and I’d definitely go back to try more.

Stayed in the Montparnasse area for a few nights, and discovered this gem in the several blocks of what appears to be all creperies. Crêpe Row, if you will. It’s a quaint place, as most are in Paris, but the interior is lovely and inviting. Be careful as you walk downstairs to the toilette, as the spiral stair case is quite narrow. Staff is also friendly and efficient, and can speak English, too! Diners look to be a good mix of locals with a few tourists(me)! The menu has a vast selection of savory and sweet crepes. Even better that menus are available in English. Oui oui! That proved to be quite helpful especially since this was the first place we went to after our long international flight. Anywho, I went with the Vitre crêpe — egg, cheese, ham and mushrooms. The buckwheat crêpe was light and seemed ‘healthy’ enough. The crêpe was so huge and definitely filling, and absolutely delish. I loved how the egg sat right in the middle, and was enough to spread over the entire crêpe. Unfortunately, I didn’t have room for a dessert crêpe, but in looking at the other tables’ desserts, they looked wonderful with the nutella and other decadent spreads and sauces. With so many creperies to choose from in this area, I’d definitely recommend this one, and would gladly return on my next visit to Paris. Au revoir!

Staff is friendly. Menu is clear. Avoid the andouille if you aren’t familiar with French andouille. It is not like American Cajun andouille. It is pig intestines stuffed inside pig intestines. It still smells like feces.

In a sea of creperies, on a street with 15, you gotta go with your gut! We had just finished an average meal at Bistro Edgar and I was craving chocolate and carmel between that thin little cake. Bretonne delivered that, an espresso, and a cider for under € 20. Not bad, not great but got the job done.

It’s impossible to evaluate C.B. without reference to the Josselin place on the same street. I’ve been to the Crêperie Josselin many times in my life, but not at all recently. I last ate there over five years ago, eating a very late lunch on a Saturday afternoon. On that occasion, there was exactly one two-top available when we showed up, despite the late hour. We felt lucky to be seated; the crepes were fabulous. We came to La Creperie Bretonne by what I’m sure is a well-worn path: we showed up on the rue Montparnasse with the intention of eating at Josselin but then realized that we had to change plans on the fly because of the long line for Josselin on the street. To the casual observer, all the establishments on this street seem interchangeable. We chose the Creperie Bretonne somewhat at random, although there is no real harm in re-writing history and stating that we came in because La Creperie Bretonne seemed to be especially charming. The place is a bit small, and tables are packed tightly together. We needed to slide our table around a few times when customers at adjacent tables came and left. If you go to the WC, you’ll descend a very narrow circular staircase that functions as a slightly glorified stepladder. Wheelchair accessibility could not be described as this establishment’s strong point.(The door to the bathroom is secured by a bolt that’s mounted vertically. Try to remember the last time that you encountered a vertical bolt!) The two servers who came to our table(both male) took joy in their job and were fun to interact with. The woman who was actually making the crepes worked in a very restricted space and arguably was having trouble keeping up with the flow of orders from diners. It seemed to me that our two rounds of crepes(savory and sweet) each took longer than at other crêpe houses I’ve visited in the past week. The crepes and salads were both very good. I ordered a crêpe with andouille after seeing such a crêpe listed among the«complete»(3-ingredient) crepes on the menu. I liked what I got and recommend this somewhat unorthodox choice to people who are looking for«something different.» Our server brought salads and crepes to the table simultaneously. From a practical point of view, it would have been better to have the salads before or after the crepes, simply because the surface area of our table was so small. Speaking geometrically, I’ll make the humble suggestion that the house purchase rectangular plates! We got a big pitcher of cidre à la pression. It served its purpose, but I’ll bet that the bottled cider is better. —– Afterthought: we went to the Josselin Creperie a few days later and were unanimous in our assessment that the savory crepes at La Creperie Bretonne are even better than those at the Crêperie Josselin. On the other hand, the dessert crepes at Josselin were the winners. There is nothing to do but give four stars to both places.

Simply amazing, wonderful crepes. I stumbled in to this place by accident, in the middle of a long day. The server was lovely — although we didn’t share much language, she tried hard to make me feel comfortable and help me order. At her recommendation, I got a crêpe with apples and caramel(made in house) which was, truly, amazing. Go, eat crepes, and enjoy.

During the day, a nice day to stop and grab a quick bite, a Crêpe for breakfast or to satisfy your sweet tooth. At night, a good bottle of wine and something to eat as well. Good quick food at reasonable prices with a unique ambiance. In fact, these cats are huge Jamiroquai fans, I mean HUGE ! they all dress like him and all they play is his music until the wee hours of the morning… we should know, our hotel room is right next to their second floor bar and all we heard during our stay in Paris was Jamiroquai playing until 4AM. But I will not hold this against them, the place has character and the service is good… check it out !

Since we were staying at the hotel next to and above this Creperie, we had the pleasure of not only eating here but listening to their Jamiroquai Cds all night. Nothing like the same CD over and over to let a person sleep peacefully. OK all sarcasm aside, yes I was super frustrated that I couldn’t sleep, however it was part of the experience that made our stay unique. The crepes are great, and the dudes that not only loved to listen to Jamiroquai but also look like him, hats and all, were pretty nice. Its just was a nice time whenever we stopped by for a bite. If you can’t beat them join them right?
