So, this restaurant is worth going to, not only for the food, but for the experience. Had a lovely pork dish with fantastic potatoes. Real home cooked, too. But the owners, ZouZou and Christian, are really wonderful, kind people, and did their best to welcome me to Paris. They will insist on taking no more than 10 pictures, if you’re a foreigner! Wonderful, nice people. My French knowledge is minimal, but I was still able to carry on a very halted conversation with them. Interior is really small, but very charming. Reminds me of a French grandma’s house, for sure! 5 stars for a really wonderful experience :)

Unbelievable service. Owner/server was incredible. No English spoken, although the menu had English translations. She starts you off with sangria and a charcuterie plate. Then your entrée with potatoes and salads. Then dessert. Then she brings tastes of more desserts. And a shot of liqueur. Then candy and a ton of Paris souvenirs(hat, scarf, Eiffel tour key chains). All this plus a bottle of wine for two for 45 € she brings out photos of her family and then the chef comes out for photos and kisses farewell. Incredible place.

We initially almost walked past this restaurant, as it is so small and unassuming on a side street. But boy were we glad we stopped by. We didn’t have reservations, but the couple that runs the restaurant quickly rearranged half the dining area(2 tables) to fit us in. You could not ask for finer hosts; they really do treat you like family. Dinner was fantastic. We had Coq au Vin, Canard, and Beef Bourguignon. Everyone loved it. Then we got a slice of dense chocolate cake for dessert. After, they brought out an American flag to take a picture with us, and followed that up with giving us some free shots of liquor because why not! I showed her my recently acquired PSG wallet, and she decided that was worth giving us all the PSG shot glasses we’d just drank from. We had such a good time, the food was so delicious, and cheap, I wish we had more time in Paris so we could go back. If you go, it will be a night you won’t forget.

What an experience! You cannot miss this place. French food, touch of comfort. Try not to compare all other restaurant experiences to this, as they will fall short. Magical place. Beautiful owners. I would recommend to anyone. I hope to be back soon!

How do I express the incredible experience here? Absolutely amazing, once in a lifetime! I saw the stellar reviews and the mention of being treated like family, but nowhere have I ever felt so welcomed. Truly gracious, kind, and generous people. Get there on time so there’s still room and hang on for the ride… it would be a shame to miss this! Fabulous food. Tasty wine. Perfect cafés.

Great! Seats about twenty but you can still get in if your patient. The trouble of planning your vacation around your dinner reservation is well worth it First of all go here for the first seating and if your told they are full ask to reserve a table for another night. If they are not filled up you will be treated to the best authentic french style dinner with amazing hospitality. You nay be offered free appetizers complementary wine and even some cheesy gifts from the sweetest husband and wife who own and operate this tiny Resturant. The menu is limited to what is being served but you will not be disappointed. I’ve been here six times and I’m in love with the sweet old couple and what they are doing to give locals and visitors a real authentic old style dining experience with amazing food and even better service. This is a wonderful place for a leisurely French dinner. Reservations are an absolute must with only two seatings for dinner that maybe seat 10 – 12 people tops. I take it that this place has seen its fair share of tourists since the menu has both photos and English translations of all their entrees and desserts; that said we also noticed that some French speaking locals would pop in to see if there was a table available. Petite Rose is run by a charming, friendly older couple who have loads of personality. Food was solid with well executed traditional dishes like beef bourguignon, coq au vin etc and trust me you won’t go home hungry as portions are generous. Oddly enough their sautéed potatoes while simply prepared were so delicious that they keep popping up in my mind. I can only imagine how much French butter was used to make them so tasty! The ambience of Petite Rose is quaint, cozy and eclectic. A great way to spend an evening.

It was closed Monday so my family and I came back Tuesday. But well worth the wait! This restaurant was by far the best Parisian experience we have had. Great food, hefty portions and friendly service. The owners run a wonderful 2 woman and man show. She was very nice and helpful despite limited her English and even gave us some extra food and appetizers. He made us wonderful food. The beef was very tender, the bolognese lasagna deliciously spiced and the chicken wonderfully sauced and spiced. The desserts were to die for. We got their flan and flourless chocolate cake both equally rich in flavor and good. At the end we received some free souvenirs which was a nice touch. All in all we paid 45 € for 3 entrees, 2 desserts, wine and free appetizers. I and my family highly recommend this restaurant, the metro is just a short 7 minute walk away. Open for lunch and dinner. Happy eating :)

on one of our flaneur days exploring the 10th arr near the canal st-martin, we chanced upon this tiny spot. zouzou and christian(the owners; she the hostess, he the chef) immediately welcomed us inside. despite my very limited french, i felt very much at home– zouzou was so warm and friendly. she offered us an apéritif, some cold cuts, sangria, shots of cognac — and we haven’t ordered yet! i had the duck breast; my companions had the beef bourguignon and pork chop. nothing creative here– just simple, traditional dishes done well(the beef was excellent– definitely recommended). the portions are large, so we had no room for dessert, but zouzou offered us a taste of what seemed like corn flakes covered in chocolate that she made herself. very tasty. she then offered us limoncello as digestif. and then more shots of cognac! at which point, christian came out of the kitchen to have a shot with us. they told us some stories — of the neighborhood, apparently, based on the few words i was able to pick up(there were LOTS of pictionary-esque gestures!). the restaurant itself was really small– maybe about 10 tables and a bar, so i assume that a reservation would not be a bad idea. quirky décor adds to the homey touch. as parting gifts, they gave us fridge magnets and rings(yes– even one for me, lol). my friend offered to tip, but zouzou profusely declined. we said our goodbye, and christian stepped out of the kitchen again to hug and kiss us on the cheeks. such a lovely couple! another plus is the price– i think we paid € 12 – 13 each for an entrée + wine. next time i’m in paris, i will definitely go back here. with more french words in my arsenal, hopefully.
