We really lucked out stumbling upon L’Anvers du Décor while looking for a place to have lunch in Montmartre!(embarrassed to admit, we had actually sat in two other restaurants and left before finding this place — the first we discovered only served large meals that were more dinner fare, and the second gave off a cheap diner vibe with poor food as we looked around after being seated). They have a large menu which should have something for everyone in the family. My daughter had the lasagna, I had beef French onion soup and escargot, and my wife had beef bourguignon, and my daughter had the lasagna — all were very, very good. And the waitress who served us was phenomenal — friendly and extremely helpful. For us, finding L’Anvers really proved the third time’s a charm!

Their menu is very diverse, you have a lot of good choices. Food is very good and the staff was very friendly, not pushy at all. I had a beef stew, with fries on the side which was delicious! My friends had the roasted chicken and the lamb. Had a bit of a bite and it did not disappoint! Portions were also decent. Prices were fine considering its location(near sacre-coeur). Interior is fine, the music very good(60’s). Five stars well-deserved!

This restaurant was absolutely amazing. I was reading the menu outside and the very nice hostess helped me translate what was on the menu and assured me they had crepes; which was what I was mainly after. After being seated and looking at the menu I asked the waitress what she would reccomend, and she recommended the roast duck breast(Magret de Canard au Miel) with mashed potatoes and green beans. So I took her advice and it did not disappoint. This was without a doubt the best meal I’ve ever had. The mashed potatoes were were excellent, I did not know green beans could taste so good, the bread was very fresh and tasted great by itself, and the canard was unbelievably good. Every bite was salivating and put a smile on my face. I can’t forget about the crêpe and latte either, which were both very good.

Russian owned restaurant pretending to serve French food. They sat us, then tried to make us change seats because apparently the two waitresses(no hostess) couldn’t coordinate on who gets the window seat. Ordered a whiskey to start; our waitress couldn’t remember if they offered it so I had to show it to her on the menu. It came out diluted and on the rocks. Suddenly a new waitresses was serving us, and she couldn’t hold back her praise for the duck breast. Ordered it medium rare; instead it came out well done with no flavor. Tried my mom’s lasagna, and that was only marginally better. Worst meal I’ve eaten in years, and unbelievably overpriced. Absolutely uninspired staff, chef, and service.

This food isn’t French, it tastes below average, there is no way the people voting this up are eating the same food we had today. Duck was disgusting, pasta boring, Italian tomato salad sub par.

«Parisians don’t know how to do breakfast», me dijo un amiga.

We had an amazing dinner for our family of 6. There is one children’s menu item… Though the chicken was a little unapproachable for our little one. The cheeseburger was good for our 8 year old(big but no problem). Escargot and mussels were awesome. Mojito and wine was good. Service was high! 4 star was due to French onion soup was not that flavorful and the kids meal not being great. Also, Unilocal said outdoor seating but it wasn’t there. But overall would recommend with the great service, escargot and mussels.

Amazingly awesome food and service here. Super friendly staff. We had the entrecôte steak, fries and green beans. Best Green beans ever. Also had the best French onion soup of the trip. Highly recommend this restaurant. Right down the road from Sacre-Coeur.

Excellent! We had a salmon dish and beef bourguignon. We are from NV and were trying to avoid a tourist trap. This place was great.

My husband and I were walking through Montmartre looking for a place to have dinner, when we noticed that L’Anvers du Décor was full of happy-looking people eating delicious-looking food. As we were glancing over the menu outside, the hostess popped out to explain the specials, which included house-made boeuf bourgignon. sold! This is a charming little place with delicious food and gracious service. The dinner plates came with your choice of two sides, which on that day included frites, salad, and green beans. In addition to the delicious and very generous portion of the beef that I ordered, I started the meal with their marinated salmon, which I spied on the table next to me. I thought it was smoked salmon, but it was actually fresh raw salmon dressed with oil and vinegar — and really one of the most simply and delicious things I ate in France. Highly recommend! My husband ordered steak au poivre, and his only complaint was that his steak, which he ordered medium, was really more like rare. But it was still delicious and he also really liked the frites there too.

Wonderful food and service! We had a large group and our server was able to handle us all perfectly. We ordered so much food it’s difficult to remember what everyone had. My husband and I decided to order multiple appetizers rather than a large meal. We had escargot, a bleu cheese poached egg and a cheese plate. Everything was delicious! Everyone thoroughly enjoyed their meal here.

Grilled sardines and haricot vert on a beautiful afternoon lunch. Sardines were moist and somewhat mild. Salmon with dill was the hit. The beans were some of the tastiest I’ve had if cooked a bit too long. Simple salad accompaniment but tomato was a tad mushy. Background music was Classic French and just the right volume to be relaxing.

The food was average, tourist-trap fare; adequate but utterly forgettable. There’s no reason to go out of your way to eat here.

Best dinner I’ve had in Paris. I was craving scalloped potatoes and walking around Montmartre near our hotel the waitress standing outside greeted us warmly and met all the requirements of a good hostess. She said she could easily satisfy my hankering and seated us close enough to the street to gaze at the view of Paris but no so close the cigarette smoke would affect our meal. She spoke English as well as French so we didn’t have to struggle for words. The food was served promptly and fresh from the kitchen. The escargot, I tried for the first time, was buttery and delicious and so new and exciting. The potato gratin was creamy and smelled like potatoes from heaven. It had the perfect texture and made me feel at home. The vegetarian plate was perfectly done and a great option for vegetarians in Paris. The crème brûlée was spectacular and not too sweet. A perfect way to round off the evening.

Une pause s’impose ! Bravo !

Tourist here, was wandering around looking for a place to eat when this gem appeared. we had appetizer and dinner, along with drinks. For the appetizer we did the stereotypical tourist thing of asking for escargot. This was a new experience but we loved it! Snails in garlic butter and pesto, they were delicious. I can only compare it to squid or maybe anchovy in texture, very meaty. Main course I had a steak and salad, we also had the white wine mussels(with chips). Both were amazing, skirt steak cooked perfectly, tender and flavorful. The mussels were fresh and delicious, with onions. Had a couple of beers to compliment the meal, all food we had in France was amazing, highly recommend this restaurant. Not speaking French wasn’t an issue, waiters are courteous and leave you to enjoy your food without bugging you.
