We went twice in one day, so that should be the start of a very good recommendation. First stop, we had the brunch. I had the house pancake, made of buckwheat with a runny egg and ham in the center. It comes with a small salad with a very tasty vinegarette. The wife had the omelette with potatoes. Because it was after noon, we had a small carafe of Sancerre wine(white) as an accompaniment. For our second trip we came back for the onion soup. Very tasty and reasonably priced(8e). We also had the tomato salad(green, yellow and red) and the Parma ham starters.

Best fresh squeezed OJ ever! However, service was very slow. They brought our drinks and forgot to bring our croissants. Finally, after finishing our OJ and coffee, we asked about the croissants and they brought them with an apology for forgetting. We then asked for the check and after sitting another very long time and it not coming, we went to the bar to request the check again. A breakfast that should have taken 30 minutes was over an hour. Wouldn’t go back, but boy was that pressed OJ good!

I had their Beef Tartare, and it was very good. Cold. A little too much for me to eat. Can you tell I’m not a Beef Tartare connoisseur? Nice side salad and cornichons, too.

This place was fantastic. I went with my wife and two small children(4&5) and the staff spoke excellent English and were incredibly helpful and wonderful with the kids. I had the Aligot with sausage, first time I’ve had it and it was amazing. My wife had the French Onion soup and said it was the best she’s ever tasted. The children shared a savoury pancake with ham, cheese and egg and really enjoyed it. It’s a great location for people watching. Highly recommended.

Service was good, food was great. Also the restaurant is right at the beginning of the shopping area if you’re coming from Bastille station.

This place was right around the corner from where we were staying so decided to try it based on the proximity & ratings. Like any Parisian restaurant, it’s quaint & charming inside. Luckily they have an English menu… ordered & shared the rib steak, salmon salad, escargot(bangin escargot!) & turkey(w/an amazing sauce). They didn’t offer a wine menu(if they did have one), but just ordered the house wine which was decent(do they make bad wine in France?). Skipped over the sad looking dessert items… this is Paris, there’s a great bakery on just about every corner.

This little café holds a special place for me. When we first came to Paris in 2010, on our way out for sightseeing, it started to rain… hard…so we ducked in here for lunch. Naturally, we came back to visit the old neighborhood we once stayed in, and well, we were hungry cause we just got off the train, and again, we found ourselves here. Still friendly and inviting. They had an AC unit blowing cold air into the dining area. We ordered a bottle of wine which was very good, and we both ordered the grilled turkey with cheese, crispy potatoes, and a small salad. French comfort food that tasted great! They have these large windows in front and it’s great to people watch. It’s great to come back to a familiar place. The neighborhood has changed a little but I’m glad Le Bistrot des Vosges is still here!

Stopped by for lunch after Unilocal directed is here for French onion soup, on the menu as grilled onion soup. The service is friendly, and the food is decent. Got the turkey cutlet, tomato salad and grilled onion soup. All the food was pretty average, satisfied our hunger, but didn’t blow us away.

This is a large restaurant and the menu was available in English. Portions are huge especially by normal French standards. They made adjustments to the menu and let us share which was ideal. The Onion soup was the best thing we had and unless you eat a lot of food it is a meal unto itself. The cheese is sharp that is placed on top. I had lamb chops and switched chips for roasted potates, good move. This is a very good place to head.

I love this place! I went here twice during my very brief stay in Paris. There are reasonably priced choices, the interior is lovely and intimate, and the food is delicious. I loved the French onion soup.

I am constantly irritated that I have not yet won the lottery, and as a result cannot retire this year. Because it’s an enormous inconvenience not to be able to sit outside Bistrot des Vosges all day long, drinking Leffe and watching the world roll down Beaumarchais.

This is a my favorite restaurant. I ate Escargot at first time at here. It became favorite meal. Lambs and Onion soup are Delicious! Staffs are nice servicing every time. At an Entrance is kindly Slipway. –Desserts & coffee– Ice ball which have rich flavor, Swiss chocolate, etc. An Espresso is nice to dinner finishing. I backed to here 2 times again during I was in Paris in November. I ate same plates with before I ordered because I’d had missed. I requested medium rare cook for the Lambs that were hard to cut off to pieced. The restaurant have good service every times, a server mind me to how is food so I honesty told her who asked if I liked to cook them again they would my plate’s Lambs burn more. I saw one plate food which is mild melted white cheese on round plate. I’d like to try it for the next.
