Good spot near Notre Dame. Our family came here for a late lunch. They have different kinds of lunch sets that you can choose from. The food there is good and well prepared. However, their service is quite slow, you may need to spend 2 — 2.5 hrs to dine there. The price is very reasonable. If you are not in a rush, it’s good to try this place!

Wonderful little spot near Notre Dame. They really go the extra mile and make you feel welcome. The food here is very good; well prepared and delicious. It will leave you very filled and satisfied. Le Centre du Mond has the most pleasant ambiance of any café or restaurant that I have visited in Paris. Dim lights, but not too dark to see. Excellent and unique decorations. To top of the mood, the music played is on a record player, filling the restaurant with the warm sounds that only vinyl can make. It is a very clean restaurant. The service here is wonderful, friendly and generous. Our server and the owner of the restaurant were very pleasant and inviting. They would check in regularly with us, which is not standard practice. Part of the meal is to bring a basket of bread. it didn’t seem terribly common in this part of the world to bring more than one basket, but when my wife and I finished our first basket they immediately brought a second, without any prompting or request. This was the only restaurant during our vacation through Europe of two weeks that did such a thing.

Enjoyed a hearty lunch on a dreary Monday afternoon.(The Monday after«the Paris attacks».). It wasn’t busy… but this might have been due to it’s location and not so much because of the situation. It’s close to the Shakespeare & Co bookstore down a little street/alley so it’s not in a super touristy area and it’s doesn’t have easy to see street presence. The ambiance is a bit funky… French shabby chic with a throwback twist … there was a turntable spinning classic vinyls. The gal running the main room… hostess and waiter… speaks English very well! We decided to do the fixed menu since we had planned on eating a big lunch and foregoing dinner(well… we knew we would be doing a wine tasting in place of dinner.) They have several fixed menus to choose … I chose the one where I could order Escargot… I’m in Paris… I must try their escargot.(I know I like it already as I’ve had it in the States before… but decided I needed to try it while in Paris.) So… I had the Escargot, the Duck cooked In a light pastry with a light orange sauce and the grilled pineapples as my dessert. Mom had the onion soup, the duck confit with potatoes and salad and the baklava. We LOVED everything except the baklava… it was more like a soupy bread pudding than what we are used to. But the Escargot were VERY good… and still in the shell so you had to play with your food to get them out. LOL! The onion soup was very good… a bit too cheesy for me but the broth was light and very flavorful. Both our duck dishes were EXCEPTIONALLYGOOD! We ate ALL of it. My grilled pineapple dessert was PERFECT. Sweet, Fruity, yet Light! Oh … and we also had a carafe of wine during our meal and coffee/cappuccino at the end. The bill for all this food was 57.50euros. I thought this was a really good deal! Especially since the quality was so very good!

Our experience didn’t match the other reviews. Extremely slow service, awful food(sour pumpkin soup, dry inedible sausage, flavorless watery beef bourguignon). Maybe they were having a bad day? My advice: avoid at all costs!

Oh my god, I love this place so much! We wandered in here looking for a quiet place to enjoy a glass of wine, and I immediately fell in love. When we went in, my husband and I were placed in the semi-private corner table, and we shared a bottle of wine and a cheese plate, while they played 1920s jazz on a record player. It was so perfect, I almost cried. I HIGHLY recommend this place and I only hope that I can make it there again some day!

Great service & great food. We were greeted a lovely gal that translated the four options of prefixed menu. She was warm and friendly. The onion soup was delicious, entrees was delicious, dessert was amazing! I’m happy we stumbled across this place.

I love this place! It’s a cute intimate place to eat and enjoy a phenomenal meal with friends(3 of us) or the like. This particular day was a bit chilly and it was nice to be inside and still have a view for people watching or watching rain drizzle the streets of the Latin Quarter. This place offers a 3-course meal, which is well worth it! For 21 euros, you can get an appetizer, entrée, and a dessert. Other price ranges and variations are available too depending on how big your eyes and stomach are. Bread and butter and L’Excellence de Saint-Laurent 2014 to start off from a day of touring the cobblestone-walks of Paris. Appetizer: a) the all classic must-try Escargot(8 pieces) — rich in flavor and easy to chew and swallow b) Goat brick cheese with honey and fresh salad — any cheese in Europe tastes amazing, but this combination was well-balanced in flavor and texture with the fresh tomatoes and crunchy nuts.(Share these appetizers with each other). Entrée: a) Duck confit with salad and potatoes — fall-off-the-bone and more meat than expected kind of duck, very very tasty! — felt like I was the lucky duck ;) I rarely finish a side of potatoes, but whatever magic they did with these potatoes and type of potato I would eat more of it if I could. And the salad was simple yet so complimenting to the dish. b) Crispy duck with orange sauce and mashed potatoes — another amazing duck dish with a generous serving of sauce to douse the tender meat and mash in. Dessert: a) Brioche Perdue — vanilla ice cream on top a Brioche pastry, glazed with caramel. Can’t go wrong with these flavors as long as the pastry is fresh, b) Crème Brûlée — a classic must, light and creamy, with a decadent sugar torched layer, c) Gâteau de Maman — a house speciality with chocolate cream and meringue and nuts, this was rich in mysterious flavors and was very moist and sweet. All these desserts were delicious! Overall experience — friendly and welcoming service and wonderful staff, very reasonable prices for a quality dinner(less than 30 euros per person for a full meal and bottle of wine for 3), best dinner during our stay in Paris! I hope to visit again!
