Extremely overpriced. Stopped here mainly to use the restroom and see if I could connect to Wi-Fi. I paid over 9 euros for a café au lait and a croissant. Neither were particularly special. There is no free Wi-Fi, only Wi-Fi hot spots that you can join and pay to use. Looking at the menu, the food seemed a little pricey but the actual trap is with beverages. Great location, but I chose a different spot for my next meal.

Came here after visiting the Eiffel tower, it was a 5 minute walk. Staff was nice, food was average. We had the onion soup, the cheeseburger and the salmon with pasta.

Tasty food, but another tourist trap where you get penalized for being an American family where you want a beer and your kids want a coke. 9.50 for a 1664 and 7.50 for a coke is a bit extreme when the plate dinner is only 17. Nice staff, nice seating but the drink gouging ruined the experience once the bill came. Order water and wine and you’ll be fine.

Worst and rudest waitress ever! It took 15 minutes before we received water. Wow… and before my wife even completed her order she slammed the menu on her hands… I hope this isn’t typical for French restaurants! The food was mediocre and expensive.7 euro for water, total 100 Euro for 2 entrees and 2 drinks?! Do yourself a favor and skip this one. there’s too many good ones to waste your money on this one!

Def touristy, want my choice, my reservation had been cancelled elsewhere. Waiter was nice, spoke English and was friendly. Food was fine, not great but I had tempered my expectations by the reviews I read. It’s fine, go I with that in mind.

Worse than airport food. Food came in 4 minutes(chicken) so it was obviously pre cooked. $ 65 usd for soup salad and chicken. AVOID

We stayed in Paris for 3 nights at a hotel right down the street from this bistro. We started every morning with breakfast here. We tried to deviate one morning and we ended up back here with our favorite server. Everything we had was great! Crepes, croque-monsieur, pastries, bread, orange juice, coffee… all fabulous! We even came back here for a glass of red wine and a snack before dinner with family one afternoon. It’s in a great spot, right near the Eiffel Tower, so sitting on the corner people watching was always fun. The only annoyance was half of our fellow American patrons were horrible. Please, please, please if you are American and traveling to another country please don’t be loud, rude, obnoxious, and pay attention to the customs of the country you’re visiting! Half of the Americans sitting near us tried to melt into the sidewalk to separate ourselves from the other half that were yelling across the restaurant at each other… «I’m from X, where are you from? Oh my gosh, I can’t believe you’re from there!» Ugh!

While we were in Paris, this became our neighborhood hangout! Loved the food, the service, the view and the waitstaff was incredibly friendly! I would definitely visit again!

Man, the wife and I got suckered(by our own doing) into this place. We were really headed to la Fontaine de Mars(which is further up the road), but we were tired and mistakenly thought that we had arrived at the right place. Silly, I know. Oblivious to the error of our ways, we ordered duck confit and steak frites with a half bottle of wine. The service was tourist-y and the food was about as good as I can make at home on a weeknight. The steak was tough and gristly. The duck confit was bland. The wine wasn’t bad though. The only thing that kept us entertained was watching the waiters fight to reel people into their sections of the restaurant. We thought this was odd at first, but then resigned ourselves to watch one waiter out-hustle the rest by a long shot. As the squid guy from Star Wars once said, «It’s a trap!»

Rough service. Not great food or drink. It’s a bit touristy, but a great location and outdoor people watching. Grab a drink, pass on the food.

This restaurant is awful. Total tourist trap. We had to grab our own menus after waiting for fifteen minutes. Finally, the poor young man who had seated us ended up having to take our order because none of the actual waiters ever came over to help. I could tell he felt bad about the way things were going, so hopefully he gets a job elsewhere in the future. I had the chevre salad, which had nearly-dead lettuce and the cheapest possible goat cheese. The wine was fine, but about twice as much as it should have been, even at restaurant prices. I’m glad we ordered a bottle… God forbid we had tried a glass, because I’m sure it would have been oxidized or otherwise disgusting. The service continued to be awful as all of the waiters congregated behind us to hit on a table of drunk American women. So, I guess the lesson is that you should never go to this restaurant unless you are a drunk, single American looking for a hookup with one of the waiters!!! YUCK

Your basic corner café near Eiffel so guaranteed to look busy while serving up mediocre fare. Skip the basics and enjoy the dessert. We saw many many dishes served while we rested and sipped espresso and cappuccino. We also had the chocolate mousse which was incredible. I was delightfully surprised after seeing some of the other food.

This is a definite tourist trap like others have mentioned. While the food was OK for this Brasserie close to the famous tower, the prices were ridiculously high for the quality of food they served. The service was very slow, even by french standards, and the three waiters working spent most of their time hitting on four intoxicated young ladies that were sitting together at a table. Definitely avoid, and walk down a few blocks to some of the less touristy places for better food at better prices.

It has been a long day of walking and enjoying Paris to the fullest extent. We just came down from La Tour Eiffel after 45 minutes wait to get to the summit. My feet couldn’t move anymore. My husband and I strolled along to find the closest place to have dinner. It was late. We found this place at almost closing hour. It was empty. They were nice enough to seat us. We ordered l’escagot au beurre, steak au poivre frites, and French onion soup. It was soothing and a big boost of energy. We wished we could have walked more to breath the air of Paris at night when all the tourists(including myself) have gone back to bed. Sometimes, you can’t criticize foods all the time. You just have to enjoy eating it and be grateful for what you have. Merci!

A very disappointing breakfast experience — there was only 1 waiter working, and he as more consumed with unloading the produce delivery. We ordered the French Continental breakfast — the fresh OJ, coffee and croissants were all good. The breakfast also came with tartine — you would figure this was some sort of tart. Nope. The waiter took ages to bring us this«tartine,» so I figured it was a big deal. Wrong again. It was baguette smothered in butter — we saw others being offered jam with theirs… we were not so lucky. All of this for 13 €…not worth it and frankly was happy service was not included! I have been to Paris several times, so know that you need to ask for the bill. Hard to do when the waiter won’t look at you! I finally had to go to the bar to pay. It is about 2 blocks from the Eiffel Tower… but it was not busy at 8:30am, and I felt we were taken advantage of for being tourists.

We stumbled upon this restaraunt after a day of walking and touring Paris. We shared a bottle of wine and sat in their sidewalk café and enjoyed the Parisian pedestrians, views and life. If you find yourself here, you will feel as if you stepped out of a movie. It’s on the corner of a perfect quiet street with just enough foot traffic to make you feel as if there are cameras filming your big debut! Wonderful place. Thank you for making us feel special, Paris!
