This boulangerie is charming. I had their croissant and it’s perfect! They’re very friendly too. Great experience!

Good food. Friendly service. Food options are quite limited compared with some other boulangeries, but what they have is tasty.

There is so much to do in the 13th Arrondissement– situated on the left bank of the River Seine. It’s mostly known as a residential and business district. Place d’ltalie offers a nearby mall with many favorite stores and boutiques to shop! The southern part of the district is also known as the Paris Chinatown partly from immigrants from Vietnam, Cambodia, Thailand, China, etc. Although, some reference that this area would not be the best place to get cheap, good quality Chinese or Vietnamese food. Some of the under budget hotels are found in this area. We visited during 6÷13÷12−6÷15÷12 as part of our Euro trip. I purchased some goodies, gifts, and an extra luggage to fit everything at the italie centre commercial mall by lle-de-france. We also dined at a few restaurants in the area in addition to this bakery for breakfast during our stay. This cute and cozy boulangerie(means song of bread in french) is nestled in the corner right by the police station across the street. I didn’t get her name but the French lady was super sweet. She gave some recommendations on the pastries and breads. I normally get a chocolat au pain and café au lait like most native French in the morning. There were so many pastries to choose from and so little time. On our last day in Paris, she suggested we try the Brioche with a apricot jam center. I’ve been wanting to get croquembouche(choux pastry balls piled into a cone with threads of caramel) but they don’t offer that type of pastry. Nonetheless, they have very good quality breads and fresh baked pastries and sweets in the morning. In addition to baked goods, there’s also café au lait or just café, café noisette, café crème, and chocolat chaud(hot chocolate), and various teas. An extra bonus is the prices stay low, locals sit as long as they wait to drink/dine/talk, and it never gets crowded. If we stayed any longer, there is no doubt we’ll gain extra inches on our waistlines! Gotta love Hub for his sense of adventure and passion for walking that we were able to find these great spots!
