The food is good and the staff is friendly! It’s an authentic French brasserie, hard to find in Paris as everything is so touristic. It wouldn’t stand out if you didn’t know about it, so I highly recommend it!

We were so pleased to find this little gem and escape the tourist traps. The food was simple French food and utterly divine. I had a lentil salade and followed up with a smoked haddock dish and I would have licked my plate if it was socially acceptable. My partner had the onion soup and duck pie which were both to scratch. Really cute little place and waiter was friendly and attentive. Don’t pass this by.

Great food, great service, great atmosphere. We went in on a whim before the moulin rouge and had an unforgettable time.

As other reviews have noted, this is a fine local bistro. The three of us sat down for a relatively early dinner, as we were seeing the(horrible) show at Le Moulin Rouge later in the evening. The owners were very friendly, welcomed us in, invited us to have a seat, and gave us menus. Everyone was welcoming, even though clearly we were not locals. Two of our dinners were excellent. However, the third is why I gave this place only a 3-star review. One of our party ordered the chicken, and it came out raw inside. Raw, as in, raw chicken can kill you(or send you to the hospital). She sent it back, and when it was re-presented a little while later, it was still underdone on the inside to the point where my friend couldn’t stomach eating it. Sadly, the owners seemed unconcerned about this major food faux pas, and made no mention of it when presenting the bill — including the undercooked chicken which my friend barely touched. Too bad. I thought a local place like this would be a nice change of pace from the touristy restaurants that are common along the main boulevard. I would eat here again, but I wouldn’t order the chicken.

Le Colibri is a quaint café in the heart of Montmartre only steps from Moulin Rouge. The food was quite exceptional but the service was unfriendly. This may be that we arrived at closing time. However the other patrons left after we did so the«rush» was not necessary. I would give this café a five if not for the service concerns. They offer delcious French dishes as well as a full bar menu.

**EXCELLENTWINESANDSIMPLERUSTICFRENCHCUISINE** Wonderfully friendly staff. Welcomed immediately with a glass of red wine. Very small restaurant. No tourists; only locals and repeat French customers. We sat outside. ORDERED: *FOIEGRAS House made and simply DIVINE on freshly toasted baguette bread. I wanted to take a bath in this. OMG! *DUCKCONFIT Beautiful leg served with scalloped potatoes. The meat could have been a bit more tender, but overall a good solid entrée. *FRUITTART Good, but not great. The pastry could have baked a bit longer. Loved the sweet plums though. We also ordered a bottle of their excellent Cabernet France for 17 euros. My darling didn’t care for their espresso and I was not impressed with their version of a cappuccino. Dinner altogether was 73 euros. OTHERNOTES ============= Some of their staff members are from Le Mascote restaurant, but since the restaurant is currently closed; they cooked and served here. Same quality of food; cheaper in price. HIGHLYRECOMMEND the wine, foie gras, and any seafood dish. They have great daily specials.

Being close to the tourist area in Montmartre, we did not expect to find this gem of a bistro/wine bar. The staff at Le Colibri is very friendly and helpful. The menu consists of typical French fare with your duck confit and your steak tartar etc. The wine is sold by volume and all priced at the same rate. Bulk of the other clientele consists of local repeat customers, as we saw a lot of them greeting the bar tender affectionately. For lunch, we had the duck confit and the Lyon sausages(one of the day’s specials). The waiter recommended a strong red wine to go with the duck and a lighter, younger chilled red to go with the sausages. He hit it spot on in terms of the pairing. Both main courses were simple and delicious. We ended our meal with wonderful house-made chocolate mousse. Having stumbled onto this little place on the last day of our week long trip in Paris, we were pleasantly surprised with our wonderful experience at Le Colibri. Simple and authentic, this is definitely our favourite place to eat in Paris.
