Great view, good food, bad service. Before finishing bottle of wine after eating, got asked to move to «special» table w view of Eiffel Tower. Turned out it was outside and we were greeted by rain.
Cool environment and decent food, but they want you in and out. After paying +100 Euros and not being allowed to finish our wine at our table, we will not be back.

Some restaurants you go to for the food. Some you go to because there’s a unique environment or setting and the food is passable but nowhere near as good as the environment. Put Le Georges squarely in the second category. Set on the glass-​walled, open terrace southwest corner of the Centre Pompidou’s 6^th floor, the view of Paris is unparalleled. From this vantage point you can see all the sights, watch the lights come up all over Paris at dusk and catch the on-​the-​hour sparkle show at Le Tour Eiffel. Consider it all part of the magnificent art on display in the rest of the museum and you’ll be less disappointed when you find out that the food is pretty mediocre. Drinks aren’t cheap and a straight up pour of alcohol is a typical Parisian short shot. No matter. It’s a cool place to hang and watch the scenery.
If you are hoping for a memorable meal, this ain’t the place. How can you screw up a Spicy Lobster Linguini dish? At Le George’s, it was dry, totally lacking in flavor as if they used 1-​year old frozen lobster claws. And no spice. Actually sent it back with my apologies for hating it! They replaced it with a seared tuna tataki dish that was better but not brilliant.
Service was up and down. Main server was a tart-​tongued guy from whom we finally managed to coax a smile! Maitre’d was delightful and quite helpful as was the lady who brought l’addition.
Being as this is from the Hotel Costes folks, I would think they’d want to do a better job but I think they are a bit tired of servicing this tourist-​filled outlet — and the place is looking a little tired too. Time for a revitalization and maybe a new group to bring some life — and good eats — to what should be a spectacularly great restaurant.
Recommendation: Go. Just know that it’s not about the food at this one.

Great ambiance and views, the personnel very professional and friendly. The Cebiche very South American with the Japanese and French marvelous touch. Amazing flavor.

Nice view … Amazing … First what I made when i came to the TOP: I made pictures and videos of sightseeing of Paris ! I think I will go very often to this place! Food is nice (cooked long) but the most important is result: delicious!
We booked table before for 9 pm! I think it is possible without any booking find place there!

Here’s what you need to know:
The service is great.
The view is spectacular.
And then there is the food. Paris has some of the most fantastic food in the world, but it is not at George’s. Our meal was not bad, in fact the oysters are great, but it was one of the most boring meals we ate all week and the most expensive.
In short, go. Go to Georges, order a drink, maybe an appetizer, and watch the Eiffel Tower sparkle. Then, go to one of a million places around that area and have a better, cheaper meal.

The drinks are really nice and have exactly the right amount of alcohol. The view is great and the design is very French and modern — simply Centre Pompidou. This is a great spot for a business meeting and also for a date.
It is just hard to find the entrance sometimes since the elevator stops working around 8.50pm and then you have to take the stairs.
Only 4 stars because the staff is very chic and sexy but arrogant and very much ‘New Jersey’ sometimes. If they would be nice and friendly then it would be definitely a 5 star rating.

This was meant to be our big night out during our recent trip to Paris. We were very disappointed. First we were give a table without a view. There we’re plenty of open tables by the windows but they were all «reserved «. Biggest disappointment was the menu. Nothing special. I had the steak with world famous Bernaise spice. Bernaise wall paper paste. Very expensive for what you get. Service was so, so. I had better meals at the local bistros. Try La Fan.

Venus boire un cocktail nous n’avons pas été déçus. La vue sur Paris est magique, la terrasse agréable, les hôtesses paraissent sorties d’un défilé de mode. C’est à la fois un peu snob et plutôt chic. À coup sur nous reviendrons tester le restaurant au design épuré,

Pros, in order: the view, the service, the atmosphere, the food.
Cons: the price.
First, I don’t know if there is a better dinner with a view, but in any event, Georges must be near the top of the list. Second, they must have read their reviews on Unilocal,as the service is now top notch. When our first waiter realized we were English speakers, he switched out with another who was more fluent. The transition was seamless. The staff did the same for a Spanish couple near us. The service continued to be the friendliest and quickest I have had in Paris. We also had a fantastic conversation with our waiter about his visit to the western USA.
The atmosphere was phenomenal and the food was delicious. The only reason food isn’t higher is because of the price, which was the only con in my book. But then again, you are paying for the view as well. It was not so expensive as to merit less than five stars.

You really can’t beat the views from this place, but overall it was a bit too overpriced for the food quality and portion. We went with the carpaccio, which was excellent, but very expensive. Same goes for the cocktails.
Despite some of the other reviews, our service was excellent. The place is a little swanky looking, but there were plenty of tourists who weren’t too dressed up, so I wouldn’t worry about it.
The next time I would only stop up here for a drink and a light appetizer and move on from there.

The atmosphere is electric for a dinner setting. A 180 degree view of Paris with the Eiffel Tower all the way to Notre Dame. The food amazing the wine list long enough to pair with the food.
The restaurant is a little hard to find as most online directions don’t tell you in English that it’s located in the upper south south east corner of the Pompidou. You should also note there is a separate entrance on the court yard side of the building.
The restaurant has free wifi a must for foreigners who don’t have data plans in European countries.
The wait staff isn’t as attentive as one would except at these price points. I know it seems petty but we had to keep pouring our own wine throughout the night.
All and all a worthy expierence just make sure you know how to get here and be ready to do some of your own service.
Review edited to add the payment of our bill. In our week so far in Paris we’ve never been asked to tip here 20% was the minimum. Every local I’ve spoken to suggested maybe 10% if the service was exceptional.

Go for the INCREDIBLE view, but don’t expect too much more. We had a full dinner (appetizer, entrée, dessert, and coffee), but wish we had just gone for a drink and appetizer. The prices aren’t outrageous (around 25 – 30 Euros for an entrée), but the service was pretty bad. Even the locals around us were keeping their own wine glasses full, so don’t expect your waiter to attend to you. The appetizers were incredible. We got the king crab and avocado and the tomato salad. The entrees were not really good at all. The steak and salmon both came with what tasted like instant rice and no flavor or sauce on either. The view made it worth our time.
The lighting gets very dim once the sun goes down, so people who have trouble seeing the menu will not enjoy this. Also, the music inside gets loud and it’s a lot like a disco.
One note– the restaurant is on the back side of the Centre Pompidu, look for the red elevator. The signage is terrible!

The service was absolutely terrible and the food was average at best. We were booked for 9pm but didnt get seated till 10.20pm. We sat in the bar and watched other couples be seated before us, which was so annoying. The food was average at best and very over-​priced. I ordered steak and it came with mashed potato (it was like Smash). My girlfriend ordered the only vegy option on the menu — penne pasta. It was straaight out of a jar and cost over 20 euros. Total embarassment for the head chef! Annoyingly we were also sat between 2 smoking tables. Go here only for the view; if you want a nice dining experience go somewhere else, you have been warned!

As others have said — view great. Food, just OK, Service beyond bad. Same experience, no tables available with a direct view even though we booked weeks in advance (7 diners). Got shunted to a table in the very back and fundamentally ignored by staff for the rest of the dinner. Service was glacial and the server took issue with a request to check on our order about 2 hours after we placed it.
We asked if the spicy lobster pasta could be toned down for the kids and were told, no, that was not possible (not a good sign). Then were told that the chef was in a good mood, so the pasta would be modified — we were happy. Almost 2 hours later, after a reminder, here comes the food and guess what — chef did nothing to tone down the pasta, and in fact it was so spicy, it was inedible. Good times were had by all…
Even though we were there the better part of 4 hours, surprise, surprise, the committed tables with a view were not all used.
I suppose you could go up and have a drink for the view, but every one of the staff were so uncaring and borderline rude, why even bother? Paris is full of incredible restaurants staffed by people who take pride in their work and the food that they are serving, so spare yourself this «experience of a lifetime».

THE VIEW. who cares about the food when you eating with the most fantastic view of Paris! Come for dinner and honestly have the MOST romantic meal of your life. Remember to sit in the open space. The service was outstanding as well and they made sure your wine glass is never empty.
I started with the mushroom ravioli and the mushrooms were SO fresh. For my main I had the salmon. It was very different because I could tell there wasn’t alot of seasoning but it was still really good and cooked JUST right. For dessert I had the apple tart, and I warn you that this dessert is definitely made for two people to share. I’ve had better, so you might want to try something else.
Truly the best view EVER. You see notre dame close by, you see sacre coeur, you see the eiffel tower light up, etc… Really just an UNFORGETTABLE experience. Every single tourist that loves paris needs to splurge a little and come here for dinner.

Was aber garnicht ging, war die Platzeinteilerin am Eingang. Nachdem wir erst in die Ecke gesetzt wurden, wo man keine gute Aussicht hat, und wir uns dann umsetzen wollten, merkte man schon, dass ihr das nicht gefiel. Dann durften wir uns umsetzen, jedoch nur an einen Einzeltisch für zwei und nicht für drei. «Es ist ja ein Tisch für drei». Dazu muss man anmerken, dass weniger als die hälfte des Restaurants besetzt war. Für so hohe Preise darf das Personal auch etwas besser gelaunt sein!

This is unacceptable and disrespectful of french hospitality. Please avoid this restaurant.

Après des tours dans le Centre, on peut monter en haut pour se reposer un peu, prend un verre, ou manger quelque chose. L’environnement est très agréable, on peut voir Paris en haut et la Tour Eiffel de loin.
Les plats sont très bons!

the service is atrocious, and the food is just blah. I still can’t get over how obnoxious the maitre d was. The view is amazing, so if you want to go, make an appointment and put in a request for the kind of table you want (on the sunny side or shaded side, close to the railing and view or far away… etc)… then make sure you sleep well the night before and eat something because going in with low sugar or little sleep will ensure that you flip out really fast.

Was visiting Paris on business, and was invited to a dinner here with several colleagues. Unfortunately, they didn’t consult me and I didn’t consult Unilocal in advance.
As others have mentioned, the view is spectacular, especially if you drive a hard bargain with the hostesses and get seated in one of the choice window tables facing the Eiffel Tower or another Paris landmark. Having said that, you can get a great view from the top of the Eiffel Tower too.
Actually, I would say the food wasn’t bad. It wasn’t fabulous, but it wasn’t bad. I had the crab and avocado appetizer, which I actually thought was quite tasty, and was a nice start to the evening. For dinner, I had the lamb loin, which was also pretty decent tasting (especially after my disastrous meal the night before … see my review of Chez Andre).
My biggest gripe about Le Georges was that it was so loud, you couldn’t hear yourself think, let alone your dinner companions talk. Le Georges felt more like a nightclub full of the BCBG than a restaurant (complete with the hot hostesses in slinky outfits). The service was slow, but it was pleasant, but the whole experience was less than enjoyable.

Wunderbares Restaurant auf dem obersten Stock des Centre Pompidou. Da wir sowieso im Museum unterwegs waren, dachten wir dass wir auch hier Mittag essen können. Als wir im obersten Stock ankamen, wussten wir dass wir die richtige Wahl getroffen hatten.
Der Ausblick auf Paris ist atemberaubend! Das Restaurant ist sehr groß und hat große, abstrakte Formen mitten im Raum, wo auch etwas privater gespeist werden kann. Jeder Tisch ist mit einer sehr langen Rose geschmückt und die Kellner tragen alle Tuxedos. Es ist eine Mischung aus Eleganz und abstrakter, kontemporärer Kunst — in einem Raum!
Ich hatte die köstliche Lobster Pasta und ein Gläschen Wein dazu. Das Essen war sehr lecker, jedoch nichts sehr ungewohntes oder faszinierendes. Die pasta war schlicht, aber wie gesagt hat sie gut geschmeckt.
Für den Appetit beim Museumsbesuch ist es eine gute Wahl, besonders auch Nachts wo Paris im Hintergrund beim speisen glimmert!

Great restaurant on the top floor of the Pompidou in Paris. From here you have a panoramic view of Paris including the Eiffel Tower thanks to the large glass windows circling the restaurant. I recommend coming here for dinner when the city lights up. Food is combination of good meats and pasta. Nothing inventive but quality is there

Quand on décide d’aller au Georges c’est avant tout pour vivre une expérience unique. D’accord mais soyons francs, au-​delà de la magnifique vue sur les toits de Paris, le reste n’est pas à la hauteur de la réputation.
La carte né crève pas l’écran et c’est bien dommage car dans un lieu aussi singulier que ce restaurant perché au dernier étage du centre Pompidou, on s’attendait à plus d’originalité ! Faisons avec. La commande passée, la présentation des assiettes est design, certes mais au détriment de la quantité: l’assiette de frites c’est en fait une dizaine de grosses frites présentées comme des kaplas (vous savez ce fameux jeu de construction en bois). Très décevant !
Le service est très marqué «Costes» (vous me direz, c’est normal, le Georges fait partie du groupe). C’est plus un défilé de Mode qu’une équipe de serveurs. Efficaces, aimables juste comme il faut mais né comptez pas sur la chaleur humaine !
Les prix sont relativement élevés mais bon, ça on le savait et le cadre en vaut le coup.
Oui terminons par le meilleur, cette vue plongeante sur les rues et monuments de Paris a de quoi vous émerveiller. L’été, préférez de loin la terrasse et n’hésitez pas à attendre plus pour une table sur les bords.
En bref, à faire une fois au moins… ou deux pour les grands amoureux de Paris !

I went here because my friend told me there is a great view of Paris from the roof top of the Pompidou Center — for free. This is not true. If you go to the top floor it is completely enclosed in (Dirty) glass so the only way to get a decent view is to go to this restaurant. The restaurant however only has a view from one side, so it is not at all panoramic.
It was afternoon so we decided to go in for a bottle of wine. We didn’t have anything to eat. Even though the place was about 80% empty they told us they had no seats available for non-​diners so we had to sit inside. Luckily my husband speaks French and pretty much told them that was ridiculous. So they gave us a table outside — as far to the back as possible. It was afternoon mind you. not dinner time, but all of the tables were set for dinner and they had to clear one so we could have drinks –which is why they first told us we had to sit inside.
The wine was nice, not cheap of course, but the service was slow regardless of the fact that there were pretty much more wait staff than actual customers. It wasn’t a particularly bad experience or anything, but I certainly would not take any guests here again. There are much, much more impressive establishments in Paris.
Btw — if you are looking for a great view for free you can go to the top of Galleries Lafayette and see Paris from there.

Belle vue mais surfait
Tres belle vue sur les toits de Paris surtout en terrasse ! Nous avions juste pris des desserts qui etait bons. Malheuresement cette petite sortie parisienne a été gachée par un service mediocre et prétencieux. A ce prix, on attend un service attentif et de qualité. Les serveurs dépassés par les intempéries classiques parisiens, né nous ont même pas remerciés et salués quand nous sommes partis.

Like most reviews, stop by for the view and maybe a drink. I only got starters and they were mediocre — not worth the amount I paid. If you’re here for the museum, just head back down to floor 0 for the café, I’m sure you and your wallet will be happier.

Une terrasse sur le toit du centre Pompidou. À faire au moins une fois à Paris. Bien sur, on paie son Coca 6euros mais le service est jeune, beau et réactif, la terrasse est agréable (mi ombré, mi soleil), avec la vue sur la capitale en prime !
Les roses rouges sur la table donnent un côté romantique très parisien :)
Je n’y ai pas mangé mais ils servent même en milieu d’après midi :) Un jeune homme de la table d’à côté a commandé un burger qui avait l’air démesuré (bien 15 cm de hauteur).
Le burger n’étant pas assez cuit au goût du client, le serveur l’a ramené en cuisine sans rechigner :)

Vue exceptionnelle sur Paris ! Terrasse au soleil et au calme ! Un endroit a fréquenter surtout pour la vue et la situation ! Nourriture «Costes» correcte mais sans plus.

Testé pour un événement pro, l’endroit est vraiment très sympa et so parisien!
Situé tout en haut de Beaubourg, le resto/​bar/​lounge a une vue sur la Capitale! Magnifique à la tombée de la nuit avec toutes les lumières qui habillent Paris…
Le personnel est sympa mais sans plus, les fingers food étaient délicieux et les boissons au top!
Comme vous pouvez vous en douter, les prix sont un peu chers mais on paye le lieu et la vue… So Parisien!
La musique est très bien et pas trop forte, les clients sont multicuturels: vous allez avoir aussi bien des touristes que des businessmen ou même des amoureux!
N’hésitez pas à y aller si vous voulez vous faire plaisir après une expo mais pas plus…
J’y retournerai un été pour profiter de la terrasse qui a l’air géniale!

Service exécrable comme souvent à Paris. Le club Sandwich est bon et servi avec des chips au lieu de frites. La vue et la terrasse suffisent a vous faire passer un bon moment! Au top après un expo en matinée.

Si je te parle (furtivement) du Georges, ce n’est que pour une seule et unique raison: SA TERRASSE. Car qu’on se le dise, cet endroit, situé tout en haut du Centre Pompidou, offre une vue à tomber sur notre belle capitale.
Côté atmosphère, je dirai qu’on nage dans une ambiance faussement guindée et forcément assez touristique, compte tenu de sa localisation. Néanmoins, si tu te fais une petite expo à Beaubourg, nous admettrons que tu as une bonne excuse pour y boire un coca, dont le prix inclut la taxe associée à la qualité du panorama.

Une déception
On est allé boire un verre dans ce restaurant en groupe d’amis. Le décor est médiocre, surtout quand on est assis en face du mur. Le service est plus que lent, on a dû attendre 20 minutes que le serveur nous demande ce que nous voulions prendre. La vue sur Paris est jolie, donc si vous y allez, soyez sûrs d’avoir réservé une table sur la terrasse ou à côté d’une fenêtre avec vue.

J’adore le Centre Georges Pompidou, son architecture un peu dingue de Renzo Piano et ses tubes de couleur et ses expos d’art contemporain, et surtout la vue, de là haut, au dernier étage, la vue sur tout Paris. Alors, pour l’anniversaire d’une copine, on s’est dit allons y, soyons folles, faisons nous plaisir!
Et bien que la vue soit là, très belle, oui oui même la nuit on voit bien, on voit loin, on voit… la Tour Eiffel… le Georges né tient pas toutes ses promesses.
Les hôtesses ressemblent à des mannequins (c’en sont?), pourquoi pas, c’est du Coste, ça fait le charme. Par contre même quand on a réservé, elles nous font attendre, bien que la table soit prête, on a la voit, elle nous appelle… mais l’hôtesse, sans doute toute occupée à penser à son estomac vide et ses fesses à l’air, s’en moque royalement. Les serveurs sont bien chics, ça faisait longtemps qu’on né m’avait pas servit en smoking ! Par contre avec le manqué de lumière (pardon, la lumière fort tamisée) et le nouveau serveur qui né connait pas la carte, on se sent un peu abandonné…
Au final un vin très correct, une assiette très bonne, une vue imprenable (sauf quand un poteau nous la gâche un peu au milieu, pas merci Renzo! ;)) et une bonne soirée… grâce à la compagnie… et aux roses sur la tables, et à l’eye candy ;)

Je tenais absolument à y emmener ma chérie pour un joli après midi ensoleillé et tout en détente, alors je vous remercie les uns et les autres pour le heads up, très apprécié merci

A faire à chaque visite de Beaubourg, l’ambiance du lieu est géniale.
Le prix né vaut pas le service, mais le lieu en lui même fait tout.
Un bon concept au sommet du centre Pompidou.

A recommander sauf pour le service
Il faut être patient pour y monter (5 étages en escalator, mais la vue se mérite), une fois en haut, on aperçoit la Tour Eiffel, Montmartre, bref vue magnifique quelque soit la table choisie. Par contre, les hôtesses d’accueil sont hautaines, sans sourire, froides. On est quand même rentrés et on a profité d’un magnifique plat (risotto, boeuf délicieusement cuisinés). Les serveurs, par contre, eux sont gentils. Le rapport qualité /​prix est un peu excessif: plat/​dessert pour 2: 95 €, ça reste du Costes, on paie la vue et la réputation.

La vue n’est pas géniale. Je préfère largement celle du Printemps.
Sinon l’endroit appartient à Coste donc très guindé.

J’suis snob
Dans un décor contemporain en accord avec le Centre Pompidou, Le Georges présente une ambiance très hype. Ce café à la Costes peut certains soirs agacer par son côté marais sain-​germanisé. La cuisine simple et peu copieuse mais très onéreuse, sa musique basique mais trop forte, ses grandes serveuses belle et blondes mais pas très à cheval sur le service… Cela dit, quand il s’agit d’en mettre plein la vue à une inconnue, une table à côté des baies vitrées peut impressionner. Cependant, on né retiendra le Georges que pour un verre en terrasse un soir de semaine à profiter du ciel et des tuyaux plutôt que la vue plein Sud. C’est ça être snob…

Très beau restaurant !
Très beau cadre et vue magnifique sur Paris, décor très moderne et original et très bonne cuisine. Excellent service, serveuses en robe de soirée… Les prix par contre sont très élevés. Idéale pour un resto en amoureux !

LIEU :
superbe, on a vu sur tous les grands classiques de Paris: Tour Eiffel, Hotel de ville, Concorde, Invalides, Notre Dame, il né manqué que le Sacré Coeur.
à l’intérieur c’est plus. froid. Musique techno à fond, et canapé en plastique à partager avec la table d’à coté
Les hôtesses sont vraiment mignonnes mais né servent à rien à part défiler entre les tables PLAT :
bons, mais pas incroyable. le riz du tigre qui pleure est à peu près aussi bon que celui d’une cantine de fac.
et le service est pas top non plus, plats jetés sur la table, on s’est même demandé si ça faisait parti du style nonchalance du lieu LE BUG :
au moment de régler, je donne ma CB au serveur, il la prend et se met à discuter avec 2 clientes (vraisemblablement très open) qui partaient. Au bout de 5 VRAIES minutes à attendre je lui demande je peux taper mon code et je vous laisse discuter tranquillement après? et il a le culot de me répondre attendez je n’en ai que pour 2 minutes.

darf seit einigen Tagen beruflich in Paris mich aufhalten, sodaß ich schon einiges hier endeckt und kennen gelernt habe aber dieses Restaurant welches ich durch meinen Reiseführer endeckt habe ist wohl einzigartig und das Beste was ich seit langem erlebt habe. Ich war gemeinsam mit meiner Freundin dort und schon alleine der Aufstieg mit der Rolltreppe ganz nach oben ist phänomenal…je höher man kommt umso mehr liegt einem die Stadt zu Füßen und ist man erstmal ganz oben dann kommt man aus dem Staunen eh nimmer raus.
Der Restaurantbereich ist eher kühl und einfach dekoriert, dadurch man aber rundherum eine Aussicht auf die Stadt hat ist die Deko sowieso nur zweitrangig… wir hatten uns für zweimal Fisch entschieden welcher ausgezeichnet schmeckte, sicherlich ist die Preisgestaltung ein wenig überzogen aber die Aussicht,überhaupt in der Nacht, verzeiht dein größeren Eingriff in die Geldbörse und man nimmt diese Erinnerung gerne mit nach Hause…

Architektur, Einrichtung und Ausblick sind ohne Frage beeindruckend und eine Klasse für sich.
Hochpreisige Speisen und Getränke sind an solch einem Ort auch keine Überraschung — man zahlt gern ein paar Euro mehr für einen Kaffee mit dem einmaligem Blick über Paris. Normalerweise lässt in exklusiven Cafés und Restaurants das perfekte Servicepersonal schnell die etwas höheren Preise vergessen. Wer allerdings erwartet, dass das exklusive Ambiente mit ebensolchem Service verbunden ist, wird leider enttäuscht. Das Servicepersonal ist leider ähnlich unverschämt wie die Preisgestaltung. Ein bitterer Nachgeschmack bleibt.

Es gibt kaum ein besseres Restaurant in Paris.
Man denkt, man befindet sich im Museum darunter, wenn man dieses Restaurant betritt.
Allein der Gang zum Restaurant ist ein Highlight. Über eine 6 stöckige Rolltreppe (freistehend vom Centre Pompidou) fährt man hinauf zum Eingang.
Ab 22 Uhr wird aus dem Restaurant ein Club und dann kann es schnell vorkommen, dass manche Gäste auf den Tischen tanzen.
Bei der tollen Musik auch kein Wunder. Leider ab und zu ein wenig laut, für manche Geschmäcker.
Keine Angst die Gäste, die sich dort aufhalten, sind zu 99% First-​Class. In der Regel finden sich dort echte Stars und Sternchen ein.
Kein Wunder, dass man dort stets einen Tisch vorbestellen sollte, um einen angemessenen Tisch zu bekommen. Am besten empfehle ich einen Tisch direkt an der Glasfassade mit Blick auf Notre Dame und den Eiffelturm. Der i-​Punkt ist zu jeder vollen Stunde, dann der angestrahlte Eiffelturm. Wirklich fantastisch.
Um auf das Wichtigste zu kommen, das Essen. Wie meine Vorgängerin beschrieb, ist es nicht das billigste Restaurant, aber Gutes hat nun mal seinen Preis.
Ein reichhaltiges Mehr-​Gänge-​Menu gibt es ab 100 EUR pro Person (exkl. Getränke). Aber es ist den Preis absolut wert. Außergewöhnliche Geschmacksnuancen garantiert ein Spitzenkoch von Welt.

Das Restaurant Georges befindet sich im obersten, sechsten, Stock des Centre Pompidou. Von der Terrasse aus hat man einen wunderbaren Blick über Paris. Die Architektur (Dominique Jacob & Brendan McFarlane) ist sehr kühl, aber durchaus ansprechend, die einzelne Rose auf jedem Tisch gibt dem ganzen einen gewissen Kick.
Die Bedienung ist nicht die schnellste und auch nicht die freundlichste. Oder lag es daran, dass man in mir auf den ersten Blick die Touristin erkannt hat? Ich habe nur ein Mineralwasser getrunken, das teuerste meines Lebens, um EUR 8, — (April 2007). Ich möchte gar nicht erst wissen, wie die Preise für Essbares aussehen.
Angeblich kann man über einen Aufzug direkt ins Restaurant fahren. Ich bin ganz normal mit der Rolltreppe gefahren, die man allerdings erst nach Lösung einer Eintrittskarte (oder Vorweis des Museum Pass) benützen darf.
Fazit: super trendige, aber teure Location. Ich werde mir beim nächsten Paris-​Trip trotzdem wieder ein Getränk dort gönnen und mich unheimlich cool dabei fühlen ;-)

Todo Paris desde lo + alto de la cultura
El primer domingo del mes de Diciembre es la fecha propicia para visitar todos los museos de Paris y entre los mas impresionantes está el centro Boubourg como lo llaman los «parisiens». De paso por el museo, subir a la ultima planta para contemplar la magnificiencia de Paris. No se puede evitar la tentación de apartar durante unos segundos los ojos de los tejados, para mirar esta terraza tan chic. Entonces haciendo cuentas con tu colega puedes llegar a la conclusion que un día es un día y que merece la pena dejarse los 40 «balles», por dos cafés en la cumbre del Arte. Que puedo decir? Dos cafes sin azucar, con lo cual tras pedirlo y cinco minutos más tarde, el camarero nos lo repuso pidiendo disculpas. La cafetería está decorada de forma contemporánea, es una gozada el interior, aunque es dificil decidirse entre rodearse de una decoración moderna, o disfrutar de las vistas desde la terraza.
