After a long night flying, I stopped in here for coffee and croissant as the flat I had rented for a week was in the same building. Laurence, the owner, was very friendly and gave me some good advice on where to purchase some things I needed. The croissant was perfect! The restaurant(pronounced La Prell) is a just a short walk from the Eiffel Tower, but it is in a pleasant residential neighborhood. It appears that many regulars eat there, locals that live in the area. Over the next week, my husband and I ate here several times. Their lunch special is always good! I love duck confit, and had it several times in Paris. Theirs is the best! When we come back, we will stay at the same place and eat here every chance we get!

We ordered two combo meals. One was a starter plus entrée, the other was a entrée plus dessert(14 € 50 per combo). The starter was very small and consisted of one hardboiled egg, a little bit of lettuce and a little bit of shredded carrot. The entrée was good and consisted of a very generous portion of lentil beans with ham and sausage on top. We were told by our waitress to choose one of three desserts for our combo(raspberry cake, apple crumble or tiramisu) and we ordered the delicious raspberry cake. When we got our bill, they charged us an additional 6 € for the raspberry cake because it wasn’t on the combo meal’s dessert list even though the waitress told us the raspberry cake was one of the desserts we can pick. The owner speaks good English and when we explained the problem to him, he acted like he didn’t understand and told us that if we had picked the tiramisu, that would have been free. If he charged us for 2 combo meals AND charged us for the raspberry cake, then give us the tiramisu since it comes with the combo that we paid for it! I guess he jacks up the prices so that he can buy himself that Range Rover he drives. So unless you want to get ripped off, don’t go to this restaurant!
