Le Tire Bouchon

A conseiller pour le coucher de soleil: La formule entière à 24 € — avec entrée, plat et dessert. J’avais un cheeseburger avec frites et fromage bleu. Comme entrée c’était une salade avec des croustilles de chèvre. — délicieux! Le dessert: la crème caramel était pas la meilleure… mais c’est mon opinion personnelle.

Good food. Great service. All menu items have the English translation right on there. The wait staff was very nice; also spoke clear English.
If you order the burger, though, ask for well done. I asked for medium and got rare (almost blue rare). Other than that, good food and service.

I think I could dole out 2 or 3 stars, but considering we weren’t feeling well, this was close to the hotel we had to get for an extra unplanned night in Paris (Thanks, Thalys strike) and the fact our waitress was nice and patient with my tired and thus not as good as normal French, it gets 3 stars. (A-​OK)
The décor is truly adorable, and I wished I could take some of it with me ;)
I loved the glassed-​in art they’ve got on display between the tables and wine bar area, replete with bundled twigs, a sailboat, and wine bottles.
Tire Bouchon means corkscrew, and they are decidedly all about their wines. Too bad I wasn’t feeling great enough to try more than one simple glass. :)
My husband ordered the cheese burger, and oddly it came with a side of liquid cheese for him to put on as he liked. It wasn’t as strong a cheese as we expected. In fact, it was quite mild, and the burger itself was lacking in much flavor.
I ordered the croque monsieur (or as you can see from my photo, what my mom would later dub the ‘croque monster’ ;) which was long, huge, open-​faced, and not at all a typical croque monsieur! While it hit the spot and did the job, it wasn’t as decadent or — well — at all what I was expecting.
For a restaurant so near the Gare du Nord, I think we were lucky the food was as good, and the place as charming, as it was.
We had just eaten so much great food in Paris, this was not even close to the best.
Still, a cute place with good service.

I liked it here. I ordered the Petit Dejeurne with a café crème as my hot beverage of choice. The service was good and it has good Wifi!

Very good food, good service. Waiter could help with English and was very helpful. Pretty view of a Parisian boulevard, and not very expensive. 2 entrees, a bottle of wine, and dessert for 45 euro. Great place for an casual dinner out.

Good food, great service, good value and nice view. I had the steak dinner set. I only want a green salad as appetizer and the waitress was very nice to arrange a green salad with tomatoes. The steak is not too big which is perfect for me. The onion sauce is served in a small cup, nice and warm and very delicious. French fries is fresh and very good.

one of the worst dining experience ever. however i shall start at the beginning of this delightful evening.
after we read a bunch of good reviews in the internet, we decided to have dinner at this place. we arrived at 19h45. there were almost no guest (just an older couple, that was it). so the main room was empty. however we have been seated in a dark an cold corner next to the front door. i really don’t understand why our lovely waiter chose those place for us. anyway. the waiter was incredibly unfriendly. he treated us like filthy dogs. however we decided to stay and ordered two starters and two main dishes. after 5 minutes, the starters arrived. wow, this must be a hell of a kitchen chef. i had a shrimp cocktail, which was disgusting. the five shrimps swam in a ketchup sauce. niam my boyfriend’s ham platter consisted of two slices of ham. that was it. after another 10 minutes of wait, the main dishes arrived. those have not been any better than the previous ones.
at 20h30, so we have been there for 45 minutes, the waiter brought without being asked the check. he even started cleaning the main room. what a great evening.

Allez viens tirer le bouchon et mettre un petit glaçon, puis après l’apéro restaures-​toi. C’est extra.

J’y suis allé juste après une soirée Unilocal avec quelques co-​yelpeurs qui voulaient une (autre) bière. Ce bar est somme toute classique pour né pas dire banal. Mon avis né sera pas très objectif car n’ayant pas envie de bière, j’ai préféré prendre… un verre d’eau… ce qui m’a valu de «gentilles» moqueries de la part du serveur un peu sans gèné…

Cette petite brasserie est tres agréable offre des menus pour tout les goût et on y mange très bien

Cette brasserie à caractère offre une agréable terrasse été comme en hiver qui donne sur la place Franz Liszt. Le service est irréprochable et dans la bonne humeur. Les plats auvergnats sont copieux et étonnants, une vrai découverte. A refaire

Sans Krema et Vertigo j’aurais continué à passer devant en pensant que c’était une brasserie un peux chic et quelconque, heureusement j’y ai découvert des spécialités auvergnates qui m’ont comblé (une assiette que j’ai du mal à finir c’est rare ;o) dont le birlou, à base de pomme et de châtaigne, à consommer en kir ou en digestif.
Un peu cher mais le service est irréprochable et l’ambiance chaleureuse. Pour les fumeurs, ou non, la terrasse chauffée, avec vue sur l’église, top!

J’y suis allé à l’occasion d’un Qype event fort sympathique.
C’est une brasserie parisienne bien décorée et conçue. Le jeudi soir, de belles ambiances.
Le menu, des repas traditionnels du terroir très bien préparés.

I found the place on Qype as I happened to be in Paris for work and by myself. It had good French reviews by locals so I thought I’d give it a try. It is a small walk from the Gare du Nord, and as the famous brasserie in front of the station (the Terminus Nord) although very decent had failed to impress me, I thought I could explore further. It is only by coincidence that i found myself there on a Thursday when a gentleman outside sells fresh oysters to the general public, and opens and serves them to the guests of the restaurant. 6 oysters No.0 for less than EUR10 — I thought I was dreaming. And then the oysters arrived, complete with lemon, pink sauce and buttered bread slices. They were delicious and enormous. A meal onto itself. The menù included all the things that you expect to find in a brasserie, escargot as well. I take it that the owners are from Auvergne — this is apparent in the food and in the décor. The ambience is that of an upscale brasserie. Reading the other reviews I thought this place would be full of rowdy Rugby fans, but clearly only something to do with my translation. You could take your partner here for a lovely candle-​lit dinner.
If there is something the French can do, it is meat. I don’t know what would happen to you if you didn’t order it rare. But why should you? At any rate, my entrecôte was full of flavour and cooked to perfection. It came with a ton of chips and with blue sauce and a little salad. I finished it off with the mousse au chocolat, since the locals suggested it, which was also truly good. All this for less than EUR30 (I had water only). Because of the extra wait the walk back to the hotel seemed distinctly longer. By all means go. It’s lovely. I even took the picture.

Une brasserie de Paris tenue par de vrais bougnats, l’accueil est généreux, à l’image de leur cuisine et de leur région.
Si vous aimez le Rugby, la bonne charcuterie c’est un endroit sympa.
Le petit plus, une terrasse ouverte en été comme en hiver, à côté de l’Eglise Saint Vincent de Paul, qui si on s’en donne la volonté peut vous faire oublier que vous êtes dans Paris

Cet établissement, devenu ma cantine, est tenu par des Auvergnats passionnés de rugby. J’y trouve toujours un bon accueil (bémol pour la belle-​soeur du patron aussi aimable qu’une tombe) même lorsque c’est complet le midi. Bonne assiette de charcuterie de qualité, le birlou (kir à la châtaigne et la pomme) est une découverte. L’hiver un écailler y vend des huîtres, et vous les ouvre à la demande si vous lui apportez un plateau pour les servir.

Sur le chemin de la Gare du Nord, une belle et grande terrasse qui donne sur la Place Frantz Listz et qui mérite qu’on s’y arrête un instant…
Beaucoup de monde ici dans ce grand café, brasserie, bar à vins qui vend aussi les fameuses glaces Berthillon…
Le service est rapide, les plats classiques d’une brasserie avec, en plus, des huitres à emporter si vous le souhaitez…
Une offre très complète donc, pourquoi résister?

Trouver un bar sympa pour boire l’apéro entre nanas vers la Gare du Nord n’est pas chose facile… Pourtant, on a trouvé… et en terrasse s’il vous plait ! Le Tire-​bouchon est un bar-​brasserie fort sympathique pour le quartier. On peut même y commander des huitres (ou les emporter) et l’écailler vous les ouvre. Pas mal pour accompagner un demi ou un petit verre de vin blanc. Contradiction totale: les huitres sont une véritable affaire au niveau des prix (comptez 4 ou 5 euros pour une douzaine d’huitres de Cancale). alors que le simple demi coûte à lui seul 4,30 € !!
Alors si vous habitez dans le coin, contentez-​vous d’emporter vos douzaines d’huitres et passez chez Franprix ou Monop’ pour vous acheter des bières. Dans votre nid douillet, vous éviterez les gazs d’échappement des bus qui passent dans la rue.

Un bistrot pas cher et pas glauque à Gare du Nord? C’est ici qu’il faut venir.
Comme son nom l’indique, c’est un bistrot à vin mais je né vous vanterais pas leur cave car je n’y ai que déjeuner (non je né bois pas le midi!)
Une carte pour tous les goûts: viande, poissons, salades, dessert en mode bonne brasserie. Tout est relativement bon et pas très cher.
Pas déçu mais si vous voulez vous faire un vrai bon resto, poussez un peu plus loin.
