I stumbled upon this place while I was wandering around Paris. Had their canard confit with coffee and everything was good. The service was good also. They have an English menu for folks like me who don’t speak French. The duck was tender and delicious. Not too salty.

Voila! My first Parisian Happy Hour with a few fabulous locals! Le Venetian is where the locals come to relax after a day of work. There is an outdoor patio and a nice indoor bar where you will overhear people talking about their love lives, the new mayor, and what they think about the new Prime minister. The best part of Le Venetien is that their happy hour is from 7pm-9pm and even thought we came here twice on peak nights, we always found a great table. During happy hour, drinks are $ 5 Euro for a nice selection of drinks. Also, our waiter was AWESOME! He remembered me from my previous visit and even remembered my drink selection, leaving me to say«my usual, sil vous plait»… Overall a great experience for this American girl trying to get to know the real Paris.

They provide blankets on the terrace! The places is A-OK, a fine terrace, even in the winter as they, ahem, provide blankets. Nice happy hour prices in the evenings. It’s just what you want if you’re passing on by and in the mood for a drink, but no need to go out of your way to come here.
