Stopped in for lunch. We thought this might be a tourist trap but it’s far from that. Staff is lovely and accommodating to multiple languages, however the restaurant was full with locals during lunchtime. I had a soup and salad. Their salads are phenomenal. Generous portions, lovely presentation(not too artsy) and incredible mix of flavors; nothing overwhelming and powerful — just perfect.

I should not have broken my tourist rule: pick restaurants that are at least 1 block(or more!) away from the main roads/attractions… Le Victoria is ½ block off Champs Elysees. The cost of real estate means higher prices and/or lesser quality food. I don’t recall the prices at Le Victoria, but I was not impressed with the food at all. It was very dark inside, and my group(party of 8) was given 4 or 5 menus. Nothing really jumped out at me — it is a casual menu.

The staff are friendly and very hard-working. Atmosphere is OK. Last night, we Le Relais de l’Entrecôte had a line 10 groups deep, so we found entered this place instead. We ordered the 300gram Entrecôte Rib Eye steak, Pasta Carbonara and a Caesar salad as the daily specials were sold out by the time we arrived — 9pm. Drinks came out very quickly. Food order was dispatched in 10 minutes or so. All very orderly. Bread was brought out with the entrees. Would have been nice if the bread was warmed. Steak was cooked medium rare– as ordered. However, quality of the beef used was lower than expected. Quite tough and many sinewy parts. Potatoes overcooked and accompanying sauce a bit too salty. Carbonara Pasta served with raw egg in the middle, but lacked flavor(probably not enough salt in the boiling water), so we added some salt and pepper. Caesar salad was big on volume, but very ordinary. All that and one beer and one glass of wine EUR67 for 3 persons.

Right away a greet from a very friendly waittstaff named«Thomas» made our first impression very enjoyable night. We ordered escargots, lamb, and salmon. Those were delicious. Will go back again any time visit Paris.
