Le Victory

A nice spot for lunch, but try to sit in the front — the back is quite cramped. Service is efficient and the food is pretty good.

C’est une belle brasserie proche des Champs-​Elysées.
Le service est correct et la carte est correcte.
Un restaurant tout en longueur.

Service aimable et rapide. Carte sympa. Prix corrects. Adresse idéal pour le déjeuné.

Für Pariser Verhältnisse (sehen und gesehen werden, je weiter draußen der Tisch desto teurer wirds) eine angenehme, kleine Brasserie mit Wohlfühl-​Faktor. Hier wird man auch freundlich bedient, wenn man statt französisch eben englisch spricht als Tourist und das habe ich in Paris nur selten erlebt.
Zweimal war ich hier, um nur etwas zu trinken, und beide Male hat mich die Atmosphäre in ihren Bann gezogen ganz gemütlich und niedlich ist es drinnen. Leider habe ich es versäumt, drinnen Bilder zu machen.

Une adresse à noter
Accueil chaleureux. Entrecôte sauce bordelaise + pommes boulangères: délicieux ! Clafoutis aux mirabelles (fait maison): un régal ! Service très correct. Prix très abordable, surtout si près des Champs Elysées: une adresse à garder dans son répertoire.

My friend and I stumbled upon this place when we were frantically trying to find someplace close that was
a) open and b) not over-​the-​top expensive
I saw something jambon (ham) and frites. I’m not a big french fry eater lately, but I figured it would be a decent ham sandwich. Turns out it was just a thinly cut slice of ham and a plate of fries. Very small side salad, and a few pickles also on the plate.
It tasted fine — –and I didn’t miss the bun. Probably better for me anyways.
My friend chose a pasta with ham, and she said that it tasted pretty fair. I think they were egg noodles.
The table next to us both had lasagne — which looked better than our dishes.
Small tables inside, squished together snug with other diners. The restaurant was directly across from the Grand Palais.

Vraiment sympa
Un accueil très agréable un plat du jour à point nous reviendrons voir le serveur qui connaît Lyon ;-)) merci pour cet agréable moment.

Had a Salade Nicoise here. Salad was drowned in thick, heavy dressing, plus some of the lettuce was a bit brown. I ate what I could salvage and left the drowning remnants behind. The bread was so-​so.

Une brasserie classique et bon marché
Le Victory est un café-​brasserie comme il y en a beaucoup à Paris: service efficace, rapide et sympathique, une cuisine classique (saucisse au couteau avec lentille, entrecôte frites…). Celui-​ci a néanmoins quelques atouts à faire valoir: juste en face du Théâtre du Rond Point, légèrement en retrait des Champs Elysées pour plus de tranquillité et des prix pour le quartier.

Une bonne adresse près des Champs
Enfin un lieu qui se démarque de tous les attrapes-​touristes du 8ème arrondissement de Paris. L’endroit né paie pas de mine, mais le service est bon, la cuisine de qualité et l’ambiance conviviale. La vue sur les pelouses qui bordent le théâtre du Rond Point est très appréciable.
