As my cousin and I walked up to this restaurant we noticed a queue of senior citizens forming its way down the street. She leaned over to me and said, «It’s not too late to change your mind about this Toastmasters thing…» As it turned out, this restaurant is known for reserving big rooms for their guests and that is why Toastmasters of Paris holds their meetings at this establishment. The group of pensioners were headed upstairs for another event. The Toastmasters meeting was in the corner room on the first floor which has its own entrance and it was very nicely laid out. We were treated to a choice of Rosé or orange juice for an apéritif and a 3 course dinner during the meeting. A chevre(goat cheese) and sliced speck(dried pork) salad, cod with red pepper sauce, and a fruit bowl for dessert. The food was simple but did the job. Apparently the menu changes frequently during the year and the members told me they have had better dishes. I was impressed by the care and attentiveness of the staff to provide us with great service while not disturbing the meeting or the speaker during the course of the meeting. I look forward to seeing what else will be on the menu for future meetings.

Had read the fantastic reviews, and so was excited to come. Service was ok. Given the location, the prices were reasonable: 19 Euros for mains, ~8 for dessert/starter, w/2-course set menu at 24, and 3-course set at 29. I ordered the steak medium-rare, which was so overcooked/hard that my companion, who will eat just about anything, spit it out into her bread(she was very embarrassed). Her duck which we had heard so much about, was just ok, a bit too salty. On the other hand, the other room(where presumably there was a group celebrating some event) seemed very lively. It seems they are used to accommodating larger groups. Overall, reasonable prices, but a disappointing final meal in Paris.

I had a really good experience at this restaurant in Paris! One of my faves! I tried numerous dishes but my favorite was my escargot plate. It was my first time trying escargot and I absolutely loved it! My friends and I had such a fun time here and unlimited wine… a plus! Friendly servers even though we couldn’t always communicate because of the language barrier, we tried our best. Cant wait to visit again!

4.5 Stars We had our first meal in Paris at Les Noces de Jeannette(which translates to The Wedding of Jeannette) and thought it was great introduction to French cuisine. I chose a vegetable quiche(Quiche aux Legumes) for my appetizer and thought the texture and flavors were lovely. Some of the staff here do not speak English so try to brush up on your French(or have Google translate handy) or else there will be a lot of pointing and hand gestures going on. For the main entrée I chose the Fillet of Salmon in Cream Sauce(Filet de Saumon au Beurre Blanc) and my husband ordered the Burgundy Beef Stew(Boeuf Bourguignon). France is known for their Charolais cattle(white muscular cows) for their Boeuf Bourguignon. We saw many of them all over the French countryside. During our meal, a man with an accordion would play love songs. He would make his way around the restaurant and play for you while you ate. The restrooms are located upstairs and to the left. Each toilet had it’s own private room instead of stalls(common in Europe) After the entrée, they gave us a generous piece of cheese. For dessert, my husband for the nougat Ice Cream(Nougat Glacé) and I got the Chocolate Cake with Vanilla Sauce(Genoise au Chocolat, Crème Anglaise). We also got coffee(café) at the end of our meal and they serve their coffee luke warm here which I also found common in Europe. I guess us Americans like our coffee really hot… The exterior of the restaurant is really pretty at night with their neon lights and the glow from the lights inside. Overall, a great meal and fabulous start to our first night in the City of Lights.

Meal of a lifetime I went here while on Contiki with a tour of about 45 people. This place is amazing! The service was excellent, they continually brought us more wine and beer even though we were only allotted two bottles with our dinner. We left with around 4 or 5 bottles of wine drank and 3 bottles of beer. The only thing I recall from the meal, and the only thing that matters, is the duck. I’m not sure if all duck is this good in France, but WOW this was one of the best things I’ve ever tasted. Overall, this is a meal that I will never forget in my lifetime. It was excellent all around and I would return in a heartbeat.
