I never choose duck but I’m so glad I did. One of the best things I’ve tasted. Excellent bottle of wine for little money.

We were staying at Les Dames du Pantheon so it is a very short walk to the restaurant. The food was amazing– all of it. From the complimentary amuse bouchée to the crab salad, escargot(best I have ever had — not too garlicky, rack of lamb with risotto and the duck. Even had a Japanese whiskey to start– never heard of it but it was excellent and the bottle of red wine from the south of France was delicious. The waiter was the best! We had this dinner the night before the terrorist attacks and left to go back to NY the next morning — we send our thoughts and prayers to the restaurant and to all Parisians. We lived thru 9⁄11 so we understand.

We came back to this tiny, delicious and affordable restaurant in Paris. Our meal was as perfect as last time. The crab salad was perfect, light and flavorful. We were served a nice slice of fois gras that came with an oniony fruit jelly and bread. It was rich but the flavors melded perfectly. We choice the prix fix for $ 36 euro which was an appetizer and main. For the main, I had duck with a cherry sauce and vegetables served from a cast iron pan. It was very good, although my only complaint is that the duck was slightly tougher than normal. My husband had the quail with fois gras sauce and it was delightful. The sauce went very well with the meat and the vegetable mix on the plate. Looking forward to returning to our favorite little Parisian spot on our next trip. But the way, if u walk, it is a great place to start a long walk through the city past the Pantheon, down to the Luxomberg gardens and then continue walking to see many beautiful streets, u can even pass Notre Dam on your way to the musee Rodin. Nice starting point, nourish your body and then walk!

What an amazing experience. This was the best dining experience during our week in Paris. I can’t rate it highly enough. The food was absolutely divine. We had a crab salad appetizer, sea bass prepared with crispy skin, vegetables, and a lovely citrus cream sauce, the pig cheek and quinoa, lentils and corriander with a wine reduction was absolutely succulent. Finally, the lava cake was to die for. They were extremely friendly, spoke fluent English, and accommodated my partners gluten and dairy food allergies. I would recommend this restaurant to a King.

We found this restaurant on Unilocal and thoroughly enjoyed our meal there. As we had 5 people in our party, we ordered all the 4 starters on the menu and they were all absolutely fantastic. Like 5 stars delicious. Mains were of high quality too, and we polished up every bit of the food, including(especially!) the sauces. See the photos for names/look of the dishes. Would definitely come back here again if I am in Paris.

We ate here twice although we had planned only one visit. It was so good the first time, we wanted to try some of the other dishes on the menu. There were three in our party and everything we tried was five star. The service was great. There is room only for about 25 diners so the chef is not overloaded and the noise level is quite comfortable. The wine list was excellent. One of the reasons we returned for a second try was that we didn’t have time for the desserts on the first visit. They are wonderful. The crab salad, the duck, the lamb were really memorable.

My last day in Paris, I decided to wander the city. Just before lunch, I decided to go and see the Pantheon. From the Cardinal Lemoine metro stop, I wandered. Up the hill, towards the sights. As I worked my way over to Rue Mouffetard, I came across this darling little bistro. They had just opened, and I was the second diner to arrive. The server was explaining the menu to another English speaker, so I listened in. As an after thought, he said, oh and we have pigs feet for an appetizer. Nothing is more intriguing to me than how the French make their pates, and use parts of the animal that aren’t as popular in the states. After a discussion of how it was prepared, I ordered the pied de cochon(pigs feet), and the veal kidneys, cooked medium. I was not disappointed in the least. First, an amuse bouche arrived, a bit of toast on toasted bread with a slice of foie gras. The pigs feet appetizer was incredible, and it came with a salad. Two delicate patties of this delicious meat, taken off of the bone and fried. The salad was the perfect compliment to this. The server said that the veal kidneys were a very typical French dish, but that it had a strong flavor, and warned that I may not like it. I am brave, I am a Foodie with a capital F, and I wanted to try this typical French dish. It was so good. OMG. A dish full of meat, accompanied by a wintry vegetable dish of potatoes, onions, zucchini and green beans, next to the delicious kidneys in a mustard sauce. This was paired with a glass of Burgundy that the server recommended to go with my dishes. Another instance where I have eaten more than I should. What is a girl to do? The food was delicious, the service was excellent. I noticed that many other diners ordered the same combination of appetizer and first course. Sadly, I was too full for any sort of dessert. For such a memorable and delicious meal, I thought the price was quite good. 40 euros for the food, a glass of wine, and an espresso afterwards. I will definitely return on my next visit to Paris. I just can’t stop thinking about this meal.

A s’y ruer d’urgence!!!

This little restaurant was perfect for us after a day of walking around Paris business and traffic. The food was awaesome, the atmosphere simple but enchanting and the service attentive and charming. I had foie gras, beef tartare and crème brûlée(I decided to go very traditional French on this visit) and ate some of the best food I have ever had, for half the price of what you would expect. My meal came to just over 100 Euros, and that included a 40 Euro bottle of wine. If you are staying in the Latin quarter and like excellent French food in a simple and casual atmosphere this restaurant is well worth visitng. It is very small, so get a reservation

My favorite dinner in Paris! We were recommended here by a local and so thankful we were able to get a reservation. The three of us in our group split the onion tart and pear appetizers to start — they’re both HUGE, and the pear one still makes my mouth water weeks later. All three of us ordered the scallops, and it was the best scallop dish I have ever ordered. For dessert we split the lava cake and the panna cotta. The panna cotta was good, but the lava cake elicited moans of delight from all 3 of us. We might have even been stared at by other patrons — I don’t know and I don’t care. The meal was that good! I wanted to eat there again before we left, but they were closed our remaining nights in Paris.

Lauren, our waitress, was extremely kind. She translated the menu for us, while at the same time noticeably appreciating our contorted efforts to order in French. Absolutely our best meal start to finish(amongst several) thus far. Despite surprisingly low prices, the food was top rate. The entrecôte with«merchand de vin» was rich and sumptuous, easily the best French steak I’ve had… and I’ve had a lot in NY and now Paris.

Un repas parfait, un service impeccable, de bons produits, que demander de plus? Le décor est sympathique. Il y a une certaine recherché dans la présentation et la composition des plats. Je recommande chaudement.

Not far from the collegiate falafel stand fray of the the Latin Quarter, two Basque guys CRUSH the charm offensive in this tiny old-timey spot across from the Pantheon… and the food is solid… rustic but kinda fancy-chef-ey at the same time… super delicious Basque cherry pie for dessert… reasonably priced… you can have that CLASSIC romantic small restaurant Paris dining experience that you dream of, not too off the beaten path… my wife and I closed the place and drank Armagnac and played with the most adorable dog… it was one of my wife’s absolute favorite places… make a reserve, however… they’re doing good business… and I can only imagine it’ll get better…
