It’s honestly very pretty. Great view, and very attentive service. I can’t help but say that the only chef that shines here is the pastry chef. The chef and sous chef rely heavily on foam and artistic presentation to cover up bland and uninspired cooking. To sum it up: it’s a nice view, but that’s about all.

I would have rated this 4 stars, but once again in an excellent European restaurant, the service was nowhere to be found as we came to the end of the meal and waited an eternity with no water even for the waiter and check to finally return(40 minutes.). Excellent food and wine with potential of some good views of Eiffel Tower — though ours was of red curtains, the elevator and bathrooms.

The view from this location is really gorgeous. However my husband and I felt like we were part of The matrix. We had about nine different people running around frantically trying to serve us with very little service. We had to ask for wine multiple times which we found ironic in a high-end French restaurant. And the waiters and staff seemed very indifferent to our presence. Not sure if it was because we were Americans but was not impressed at all. The food was Good but the service really did take away from the overall experience. I would recommend visiting it at night as a bar rather than wasting your money on a dinner.

This had elements of very good but had enough wrong with it that I couldn’t go above 3 stars. First of all, the view where we were sitting had a view of the Eiffel Tower, if you looked through the slatted fence just so. The food was beautiful but the field was overcooked and over salted, which is really unforgivable. My girlfriend had a better meal, the prawns were divine but the rest was only ok. The service was very good and it was pleasant enough but for the money, I wouldn’t go back.

It’s a nice emplacement with nice views. I went 23th of april 2015 to have«menú dejéuneer»(lunch menu). Totally was about 144e including a bottle of water and two glasses of rosé(the menu does not include the desserts and the drinks). I love the restaurant has a «somelier» only for the cave. Althought I’m spanish, there’s one really friendly attendant who speak really good spanish. In my point of view, Maison Blanche looks more like a place to have business dates and when I went with my couple both of us where the youngest people!(We are 27 years old). Anyway, Juliette in the reception makes It already perfect and It’s a place I consider you must be if you go to Paris.

The service is the best part of this restaurant. From beginning to end, we were treated unlike any other restaurant during our time there. The food was delicious and each course was thoroughly enjoyed. The prices are surprising but I felt that I paid more for the service in addition to the quality of the food. We had the scallops and beef. The scallops were great but the beef was better. It was cooked perfectly. The ambiance is a bit business. And, the interior is very bright and white(hence the name). I wish the terrace was open when we there. It would have been great to dine outside on the gorgeous night we were there. But, we did manage a table facing the window, which was a great addition to our overall experience. Bottomline: great experience and food was top-notch. Expect the price to be at least 150 Euro per person.

The elements are there for this to be a top dining experience in Paris, but it just doesn’t add up. Every step along the way it just wasn’t good enough, certainly not to justify the very high price. We’ve had much better French dining experiences than this in the U.S., and that should not be the case. First, it took nearly a week and three attempts to get a response to my request for a reservation. I thought this might be because the place was booked. But on the night we dined many tables sat empty for the entire evening. A couple in front of us walked in off the street with no reservation. The place is known for its views, but it’s mostly just window glare at night, and only a couple of tables at the very front can actually see the Eiffel Tower. As a same sex couple, we took note that all the gay customers were placed in a corner in the back of the room where they could not be seen by any other restaurant patrons. I don’t know if this was intentional, but it made an unfortunate impression. Each dish was fine. Just fine. There were no wows, even though we opted for the expensive chef’s tasting menu. This menu should be the chefs’ opportunity to show their talent, but it was only okay. Not memorable. The wine situation was irritating. We had a tasting menu, so pairings would have been appropriate, but that was not offered. Instead, we were offered only bottles. What single bottle goes from fish courses to venison? So we started with a half bottle of champagne and planned to switch to red halfway through the courses. But this request was ignored, and by the time the waiter finally came to take our order for red we had finished the last course. The moment was lost. It was then that I noticed that other patrons were being served wine by the glass, which would have been more ideal for a tasting menu. I don’t know why we were not given this option, or suggested it. Very fine dining is about anticipating the customers’ desires and going beyond their expectations. Maison Blanche seemed to be phoning it in. And even though each of my three reservation requests noted that this was a special birthday dinner, that was never communicated to the staff. I thought that perhaps birthdays get no attention here, but as we were leaving another table was treated to a festive display of sparklers at their table for someone’s birthday. Another lost opportunity to make a good impression.

On my best friend’s birthday, we were looking for a place to have dinner with a view of the Eiffel Tower. We were recommended this place, but did not realise it was a Michelin-star restaurant, and the price reflected that its standing. We should have expected expensive near the Champs-Élysées, but we were still a bit surprised. After experiencing the rustic food of small Paris restaurants, this was very different indeed! The waiting staff were wonderful, spoke excellent English, and even made friendly jests. We felt very welcome, and were served some complementary hor dourves while we waited. Now, when you don’t order wine with dinner in Paris, the waiters kind of look at you like you committed a capitol offence, but what with one of us having a dodgy liver and after already drinking champagne that day, we just had water. We went straight to the main course(another faux pas, I suspect). I ordered a lovely(Scottish, funnily enough) salmon dish which was accompanied by the tastiest sauce. The portions looked deceptively small and neat, but were very filling and actually quite generous. After one course, we were quite full. We had flirted with the idea of dessert, but decided to take a walk and find dessert later if we felt like it. We were sad to know that the terrace was the only place you could see the Tower, and it was closed for dining that evening. We managed to get out to take some stunning pictures after dinner, but it wasn’t quite what my friend was looking for. This is the kind of place for a special anniversary meal, or a romantic getaway. Not really where you’d expect a couple of friends on a crazy tour of Paris. Not our speed I’m afraid, but I’ll probably be back for a full meal when I next visit Paris with my other half.

Most tables have a view of the window thanks to the elevated balcony area. They have an area where you can see the Eiffel Tower, but I believe that it looks better in the day. For the night time, sit near the large window! There is a coatroom with a very nice attendant. She takes your coat. The service is free, but you can tip! Service was great at the restaurant. Our main server was Joseph. Ask for him! He was extremely helpful and attentive. He was the best server I have met in Europe, and he is comparable to waiters at high end waiters in New York. My boyfriend and I ordered the 6 course degustation(tasting) menu for € 110 each. There is a 7 course one for € 145 each, but the only difference is the steak. If you get the 6 course, you can choose to have that steak instead of a fish. It’s not worth it to get the 7 course because the steak was the highlight of our meal. The pumpkin soup was the best we have ever tasted in Paris. It is a very popular French dish, but we loved how creamy the soup was and how delicious the mushrooms inside were. The shrimp was delicious. We are still unsure what the green sauce was, but it complemented it perfectly. I ordered the lobster, and it was prepared perfectly. The beansprout salad on the side complemented the lobster as well. My boyfriend enjoyed his foie gras. It did not taste fatty at all! Regarding the main course, I liked the fish much more than the steak. Coming from New York, I have had better steaks. However, the fish was prepared deliciously. For desserts, I ordered the fig dessert, and my boyfriend ordered the chocolate mousse dessert. The chocolate mousse was not too special, but it was very yummy. The fig dessert was beautifully prepared. It was the most interesting way I have ever had figs, and it was delicious. They also give you two shot glasses of raspberry jelly with whipped crème. These are a must try. I think this was the best dessert overall. Highly recommended for the food and service. Joseph was a great waiter!

Poor service — probably the worst for the price range. The chubby waiter who took our order was cold and pretending. The tall young lady was nice and pleasant though. Two other young male waiters seemed nice, too. We ordered the 6-course tasting menu. We did not like the fact that they gave the lady a menu without price and guy with price. Food was not so delicate for tasting menu, either. The bread was all right. The main reason we booked here was for the night view of Eiffel Tower. However they gave us a seat at a corner far away from the window, claiming all the seats were all booked loong time ago. We came in at 8pm and the room was almost empty. We noticed some people who came after us were complaining and then they were moved to the window seats! We were expecting sitting there comfortably during our meal to enjoy the view(and food), not just being shown to the terrace in the chilly air to take a peek before and after the meal. In fact, when we booked this restaurant online, we never got any confirmation online, through email or phone call. So we had to call again after waiting for a few days. We would recommend against this restaurant.

I hate to give Maison Blanche a less than stellar review, but I honestly was not that impressed for a Michelin-rated restaurant. I came here for lunch, and first off– the restaurant is inside the Paris Opera House which threw us for a loop. Upon entering– we seek a beautiful restaurant but then we were shuffled to outdoor area since lunch is patio-only. The view is quite spectacular although in the heat– I was dying. If the setting looks familiar to you, it is because this is where they filmed Sex and City, and Carrie’s hotel room was filmed above the Dior store on the same street. As for the food, we ordered the prixe fixed menu with trout and it came out slightly warm but not hot. The fish was fresh but lacked seasoning. The wine selection during lunch time was also limited and the service was very sparse. We asked for our bill and it took about 20 minutes– granted this is how it is almost everywhere in Paris.

So we came here for my birthday and my family called just 1 day before to make the reservation(I know I feel special lol) but when they knew it was a birthday lunch they squeezed us in, not just that; they gave us the BEST table in the restaurant that has the perfect Eiffel Tower view. The staff was super nice with us, the food was delicious. I had the smoked salmon for starter and it was YUM, my mum’s was coconut coated goat cheese. And for the main courses we had sea bass which was great, chicken with vegetables and some kind of semi-cooked fish(I forgot the name). And then we ordered the chocolate biscuit cake and they brought it with a candle on top :). We also ordered a special dessert which was not in the menu but they told us about it, it was a selection from everything but mini sized. They also offered to take a picture of us in the terrace because in the winter it’s closed but they opened it for us anyway to take the picture. I love this place!

«La Maison Blanche» is a trendy restaurant and provides gorgeous view of the Eiffel tower by the terrasse. We ordered the 6-course tasting menu: 1) Filet de rouget barbet servi tiède, Carpaccio d’artichauts et vinaigrette de citron doux [Rouget fish filet served at room temperature with artistrokes] 2) Gambas laquées de mangue, Fenouils en fins copeaux et son rougail [Scampi with mango] 3) Escalope de foie gras de canard poêlée, Compotée de pamplemousse et kumquats au muscat [pan seared foie gras with grapefruit and kumquats] 4) Bar sauvage, Fricassée de courgettes et févettes, coulis d’artichaut à la grenobloise [Wild seabass] 5) Filet d’agneau en croûte à l’épine vinette, Carottes des sables à l’orange [Lamb filet] 6) Biscuit chaud au chocolat«Araguani«, Crème fouettée à l’amande amère, glacé à la vanille Bourbon [molten chocolate cake with vanilla ice cream, sour whipped cream] Highlights were the wild seabass and the chocolate cake. Make sure to check out the view of the sparkling Eiffel Tower every hour on the hour.

I enjoyed the menu dégustation on April 28th. Every course and the wine combination as a result of discussions with the sommelier were unbelievable. I have a gluten allergy, and tweaks were made by the chef to accommodate me. The staff was so careful, attentive, and the service was impeccable. And then the icing on the cake was the view and twinkling Eiffel Tower on the hour. What a night! I will be dreaming of this spot for years to come.

I’m not sure I would go back here — only b/c there are SO Many excellent restaus in Paris — but this was the last night of our honeymoon, and my honey had yet to see the Eiffel tower sparkle! So it worked out well, even if we had to get 10 pm reservations. They were preparing our ‘special table’ when we arrived, and led us out into the chilly night onto a terrace with a great view of the tower. Theron, my now-husband, took loads of photos and then, finally, the sparkling began! He just smiled and said, «you knew didn’t you?» Of course I did! :) Then we were taken to a seat far back in the corner from which you could see the tower sparkle. Below us crazy-bright barges or dinner boats made their way down the Seine. We started with a glass of champagne each, which were swiftly taken away as the waiter had the ‘cheif sommelier’ taste it and it wasn’t fresh enough — so a new bottle was opened for us. Cool! What I found truly hilarious was that the menu given to me was without prices, while my husband was handed a menu w/all the prices. Really? why thank you! ;D We decided after much deliberation on the tasting menu. Why not right? The service was really great. The sommelier was confused when I wanted a bottle of white and a bottle of red to accompany our three hour tasting menu. I merely said, «we aren’t French.»(as those Frenchies can make a glass of wine last all night!) The amuse of salmon, grapefuit, and cream was just ok — My hubby liked it more than I did. I didn’t find it particularly inspired. I did however enjoy the crab with veggies. Was it my fave crab app ever? No, but it was very good, and delightful after eating so much heavy meat in Europe. Theron loved the foie gras — even more than normal! So this course was a win win :) Our favorite course by far followed next — cream of lentil soup with porcini mushrooms– it was also fun because you had a stick and slid the mushrooms into the soup. Yummers. After this came the filet of seabass. It was cooked perfectly so I have no complaints about it. It’s just that a couple exquisite, inventive restaurants have shaped sea bass as a fish of the gods :) Next up was a choice of scallops or veal. The scallop was good, but the veal was really great. The deserts were lovely but I was stuffed. However, the post dessert of madeleines was awesome :) The red wine was from the Languedoc region — where the twin brothers who helm the kitchen hail from. And was quite good to be true.

Maison Blanche or White House translated in english makes it sound very formal. Maison Blanche is a high class trendy restaurant located in one of Paris famous street, Avenue Montaigne, also known as the Fashion Street. The restaurant is decorated in the Apple brand style, white is all. Jacques & Laurent Pourcel are the genius twins behind the kitchen. Their cuisine is bold, full of character, and have a strong taste. It’s well measured with a mediterranean touch. Give it a try: For starter, the«scallops with a thaï coriander spice and apple smith juice» will litteraly melt in your mouth If you are more of a meat person why not have the«filet of beef»? Tasty meat with mashed potatoes and black truffe with Bordeaux Sauce. For dessert, chocolate fans with fall in love with the«warm chocolate cake with bailey’s panacotta» Budget(the tricky question): You can lunch there for an affordable price with the lunch menu, 55 euros for a pre define starter, main course, dessert and of course coffee. If you are a small eater you can settle for the starter/main course or main course/dessert menu for 40 euros. Outside of the lunch menu, the price gets pretty high. Count around 100 euros minimum without wine. The thing that makes it great: The amazing view on Paris. Apart from the cuisine of course, the view is just breath taking. What needs to be work on: Seriously, I am still thinking about it. Advice: Just for Paris Night life view ask for a table near the windows, very romantic. The colored boxes are also great, blue, red, green, just pick your color!
