Only 1 review? Something this tasty, yummy, marketed gorgeously, oh man, what’s going on here.
These are one of the most addictive things I’ve ever eaten: these flaky bite-​size cute rectangular pieces, not too sweet, great texture, very chocolatey, right on your taste buds.
The store offers samples of dark & milk chocolate, white too I think, but bought 6 boxes and macarons, which were just ok. Maybe I was just overwhelmed lol.
Located inside the Louvre obviously in the basement level.
will go back in a heart beat and totally stock up.

Wonderful shop inside the Louvre. After we finished up at the Louvre we wondered in the main floor where all the shops were. I was looking for chocolates to bring home for friends so Maxim’s caught my eye. The sales associate gave out samples of their mini dark chocolate crepes which we loved. They’re sort of like delicate thin biscuits fully covered in rich dark chocolate. We each bought boxes for friends/​co-​workers and kept a box for ourselves. Their chocolate goods are fair priced and they also have a huge macaroon display case.
Maxim’s is a gourmet shop that also carries foie gras products, teas and other delicacies. I highly recommend checking out the shop when you’re in Paris. If only Maxim’s and Pierre Herme would deliver to the states or open a shop up here!
