Omnivore is a food festival where up and coming chefs, vendors and other food industry professionals come together to see the thoughts and ideas of up and comers and what they’re doing in the world of gastronomy. You have your share of rising stars but also some veterans that are pushing the boundaries. Yannick Alleno, Alexandre Gauthier, Quique Dacoasta, Josean Alija, Sophie Pic, and Pascal Barbot are just some of the names you’ll see. This current edition in Paris(Shanghai is next) contained almost way too many demos and talks which overlapped and making it hard to decide where to go. The party on the first night was interesting to see what the gastronomy industry waslike in Europe. I like that they bring rising stars to the forefront but they just need to space things out a bit more so that those of us can get in as much as possible.
