Great chocolate place with a wide variety of flavors and tastes. The store is very striking with some crazy chocolate sculptures in the window. The bars vary from I think 65% to 100% dark chocolate, with prices between 7 – 9 Euro a bar. For fancy chocolate, I think it’s a reasonable price, but they come in some very nice metal tins, along with a great bag. Plus the staff gave us more free chocolate with our purchase. I was very pleased with the chocolate, so 5 stars. 20 euro minimum for credit card.

This is a very beautiful shop. Many people swear by this chocolate. But the chocolate was not very dark, so I didn’t particularly like it.

Wow. Wow. Wow. I have to be honest, when I heard about Patrick Roger, I thought he didn’t sound French enough and therefore wasn’t that interested in his chocolate. Oh, what a mistake I had made! Patrick Roger is a chocolatier, and artist and he holds an MOF title!(That’s a Meilleurs Ouvriers de France and its no easy feat!). This store next to St. Sulpice is stunning. It’s modern and there is a gallery upstairs. There is an attendant that packages up the chocolate and handles it like gold. We tried his«rocher» praline which is his classic piece, the whisky flavored and the pistachio one, and they were all lovely… but the one that knocked my socks off was the lime-basil truffle. ITWASMINDBLOWING. This place is expensive, but NOWHERE else can you find chocolate as unique and fine as at Patrick Roger. This is a GREAT gift to bring home and a wonderful experience to have in Paris.
