Warning: if you book this hotel on , you are going to be shocked when you compare the photos on the website to your actual room. I am not the only one with this complaint, either. As you can see, the other reviewer agreed, and I also overheard a party of four at the reception desk blatantly complaining and refusing to stay here because the rooms were«completely unacceptable». Are there any rooms in the hotel that look like the photos? Maybe, but none of us got one. Other issues/things to be aware of: 1. There is no minibar as promised, and refrigerator in the room did not work. 2. Do not expect air conditioning, It got into the 80s while we were here and the room got stiflingly hot. 3. Do not expect coffee or tea available in your room or the lobby – but you can get delicious café and café au lait very close by. 4. Our room was so small that the bathroom had a sliding door(off its broken hinges) because you could not have opened a door between the bed and the bathroom. 5. One of the staff people was very rude to us. And yes I was speaking in French – not being the«stupid American». 6. I had a hard time fitting just myself and my suitcase in the elevator/lift – it’s tiny. 7. There is no Internet in the rooms as stated, but there is Internet in the lobby as of this stay. So why am I giving this place two stars? Well, the beds were quite comfortable, which is big in my book after long days of sightseeing. Also, the location has mini-markets, boulangeries, cafes, a laundromat, Internet cafes, and more within 2 blocks. And it’s just around the corner from the Jacques Bonsergent line 5 metro station, which is a quick transfer to most other lines as well. It’s also in a cool neighborhood, not full of tourism. 2.5 if I’m feeling generous.
