A gay bar with tons of curious straight people. Overcrowded with pushy looky-​loos, and you’re locked inside and can’t leave unless the bouncer lets you out. What could go wrong? Avoid this one.

Gogo dancers and live shower shows. But nothing else. The shows quickly become boring and the alcohol is very overpriced. I paid € 7.60 for 0.5l beer, I dread to think about what spirits might cost. Ok venue for a quick nosey then move on.

A very interesting and fun gay bar in the heart of the gay district. Our Recent trip to Raidd bar was very fun and despite actually finding this place on Unilocal and reading the review’s, we decided to check it out and see what the true meaning of this place. I must admit, it did NOT disappoint.
We checked it out on 2 different nights 7÷17÷15 — Friday, and 7÷18÷15 — Saturday
First off: For those wondering… because I was… The dress code is casual and shorts, flip-​flops or sneakers are acceptable. Note: most french are wearing jeans, shirts (long-​sleeve or button down short sleeve) and shoes. If you want to «fit in» i suggest you go with that. Also there is NO COVER CHARGE (at least those nights we went)
Space: The location is off in a nice district of Paris, you can take the Subway there and it leaves you 1.5 blocks from the spot. It is a very nice and easy walk. The place is divided into 2 spaces … «Upstairs» which is the packed crammed area that everyone tends to linger in and has the infamous ‘shower’ bar and the gogo dancers. «Downstairs» is more loungy and more relaxing. *Bathrooms are downstairs so when you go its a trip and a half!*. The upstairs is crowded crammed and full of people — We got there at 10 so it was worse and 11 the following day and it was just as full. Eitherway, little A/​C and lots of people is a good time but also a recipe for people stepping on each other and a few drunk patrons acting a fool. So if your not used to it, i suggest you stay away.
Drinks: Selection is limited to what is available via the bar and the drink pourage is not what one expects in America or other countries. They do limit the drink pour to what is appropriate and accepted which is very limited to the equivalent of a shot (a small shot). They have liters for sodas which again limits their selection of mixers but none the less it gets the job done. They have beer and naturally, wine.
Best bang for your buck? Order beer. Large beers are least expensive and get you more and you get your buzz on faster (if that is what you are looking for).
Cost: Its about average but costly. 100 Euros goes fast there if you are paying for 2 people On average, we spent about 150 – 200 each night (we aren’t heavy drinkers but we drink and were there for a while).
Staff/​People: What surprised me the most about most reviews here is that most knocked the place quickly about staff. Truthfully, i found it like any other place. If you TIP a bartender, they will help you out and be nice to you, remember you, serve you first, and tend to cater to you. If you, like most people we saw there, who just grabbed and left without even a «thank you» I can see why the staff was cold and cop an attitude with people. We tipped 1 Euro per drink (as our custom here in the states) and very quickly the bartenders were happy to assist and give us what we asked. Even when there was a packed line, we were acknowledged (since we were drinking the same thing) and quickly able to get our drinks and get back to what we were doing — so overall the Staff/​People are very nice
GoGo boys/​Shower bar: For us who frequent the gay scene in the US, not having GOGO boy’s is a sin at a gay bar, therefore, it must be a reward to the gay people in France. Most were oogling over it and they are very good looking, know they are good looking, and enjoy the attention. It is not consistent and it is not daily, HOWEVER it is nice to have someone PUMP up the crowd and provide a good dance routine to keep you on your toes. The shower bar is a shower, with a glass window, where a guy takes a sexy shower and you can view through the window. Again, for those who know the male nude revue’s here in america or other places, you might just say «this is it? i’ve seen nude guys dancing in front of me» but this is what they do in France and again most know they are hot and enjoy the attention. Overall its a cool thing to see how it varies from our side.
Final assessment: If your in Paris France, this is a must stop in bar and check it out. Very nice and very fun. We ended up both nights (after checking out several other gay bars) at Raidd and always closed down our night with the bar. Enjoyed the staff and the scene. We met some great people and anticipate to return when we go back.

Le bar est vendu comme un bar à striptease… mwouais… ben certains jours c’est peut-​être chaud, mais pour ma visite, les danseurs sont restés en caleçon toute la soirée !!! Alors pour le prix de la conso, on s’attend à plus chaud qu’un simple défilé de lingerie… Si les danseurs n’assument pas, faut faire un autre métier, sinon c’est l’arnaque…

Oh Raidd, words cannot adequately express what a FANTASTIC place this is. Raidd is more than a bar, it is an experience all on its own. I was here every other night. AMAZING AMAZING AMAZING. The crowd is yes granted 95% gay men, but what else are you expecting? I do not know if it is because of my Latina looks, but everyone is extremely friendly, and NOT pretentious. I met soo many outgoing people. The energy, the music, and of course the «showers». Yes, expect to get a drink or two spilled on you, but that’s because everyone is dancing and not pressed up against the wall. AMAZING, I cannot rave enough about this place.
*LADIES: if you are trying to go alone here, as I did on a Thursday night, tell the bouncer that yes you are in fact aware it is a gay club, otherwise they might try to discourage you. Also, it is a 1 girl per guy policy.

Went there on a Friday night and the place was packed… we got there around 10:30. Nice good looking crowd. Besides the main floor, they have a downstairs area with smaller intimate rooms.
Music is very good, high energy, 80s, 90s, all types.
The «shower» show was supposed to start around 11PM… we waited until about 11:30PM and no show… so we left for another bar.

Fun evening with great visuals. Very crowded — expect to get a drink or two spilled on you! The shower scenes occur about every 30 minutes and they are very fun to watch if you are a voyeur — mix of gays and girls (with horny boyfriends).

Love bar had a great time and actually met some very influential people here. I started my evening here every night then moved on to the next bar. Will be back in May.

…Pour une ambiance très «sex & the city» !! J’ai atterri dans ce bar entrainée par 2 copains gay. Et en effet l’ambiance est là. Il y a des mecs partout, jeunes et moins jeunes, tous attendent la fameuse «douche» (à partir de 23h30) soit un strip teaseur ds une cabine, qui prend sa douche, se savonne partout et enlève son slip en guise de bouquet final. Une expérience plutôt marrante qu’on né voit qu’à Paris, forcément !!!

Amusant à première vue quand on y va avec des amis… L’ambiance, les couleurs, la provoc’ :) mais en réalité rapidement glauque et déprimant. Les consommations né sont pas mal mais ça né compense pas pour le reste je trouve. Enfin peut être que ça compense quand on est déchiré comme la plupart des créatures du sous sol. ;)

Que dire du Raidd bar ?
J’y suis allé quelques fois, principalement pour faire plaisir à des amis. Une torture.
Si le RDC laisse présager une petite soirée sympa à boire, danser et mater les mecs sous les douches le décor change complètement une fois descendu.
Au sous-​sol, l’ambiance est oppressante. Un peu à la manière de la scèné des backroom dans Irreversible. Ces couloirs, ces murs, ces alcôves… De la musique pas toujours du meilleur goût, de jeunes hommes au bord du coma à deux doigts de se faire ramasser par de moins jeunes hommes opportunistes. Vraiment non ! Sans moi.
Bien entendu, je juge ici un bar selon mes propres critères, ce que j’aime et ce qui me rend malade et il est clair pour moi que né suis pas le coeur de cible du Raidd bar.
Je re-​tenterais peut-​être l’expérience un jour, plus alcoolisé, plus absent. Et peut-​être que la musique sera plus à mon goût, que les garçons me sembleront plus humains, moins glauques pour certains.
Aller un petit + pour le prix des consos, dans la moyenne et pour les garçons sous les douches.
Un gros — pour l’ambiance générale au sous-​sol.

If i had to pay a cover charge — this place would get a 2 star rating…
Raidd Bar is centrally located in the «gay section» of the Marais with easy access from the Hotel De Ville metro stop. One could easily go bar-​hopping in this section of the Marais, and luckily enough — no cover charge made coming in and quickly going out a very easy game plan.
The bartenders seemed friendly, and you don’t necessarily need to make your way to the bar to get service. The bar has staff that roam around to take orders. Surprisingly enough they actually remember who you are despite the crowds that are there — especially on a Friday night. Tendering money is easy as the bartenders/​staff present you a printed receipt for your drink order.

Nul! aucune ambiance. ce n’est pas un lieu pour danser mais plus pour y laisser son fric et perdre son temps… la musique est mauvaise. seul petit point positif, la douche oùle spectacle peut parfois y être surprenant. mais àpart ça à eviter fortement.

Très bon bar de début de week end. Beaucoup de monde, de la bonne ambiance avec des gogodancers. Par contre, attention aux pickpockets. En 15 jours, 4 plaintes ont été déposées pour vol de carte bleue avec retraits frauduleux. Vous commandez au bar, on regarde votre code puis on vous la piqué. Donc soyiez vigilant et amusez vous bien.

Paris can be a tough town… This place is one of those pleasant exceptions. The service is good, the music mix is fun, and it stays open very late/​early :). I’ve been here on several occasions with colleagues, and friends. We had a nice time. Raidd can be very busy, and it’s a lot fun on the weekends; when all of Europe/​the world comes together right here :).

J’y suis allée vendredi soir avec mon meilleur ami et un de ses potes, j’ai trouvé l’endroit très sympa, il y avait beaucoup de monde, des serveurs très musclés, le culte du corps je dois avouer.
J’étais assez curieuse, je dois avouer que je me suis sentie à l’aise au Marais.
A refaire sans hésiter, je vais même surement tester d’autres endroits. ;)

Loud, crowded, grimey and dancey. If that’s your thing then RAIDD BAR IS YOUR PLACE! Reminds me of Rage or MJs or that other dancey West Hollywood gay bar. I do hate crowds so that part I didn’t like very much, but the shower show is a «must-​see» I guess. Lots of other bars in the area you can check out afterwards as well.

Insanely crowded.

The music was too loud — dang when did I become the old man that says that? But really, when you don’t speak the language very well it’s hard enough to communicate without blaring music in your ear. Screaming doesn’t help cuz everything is lost in translation anyhow…
I would like to give this place 2.5 stars but alas I can’t seem to muster up the strength to go up to 3 stars. Perhaps it’s my total aversion to the «club» scene and hanging out at «the place to go just because it’s the place to go.» That said, I was less than impressed with Raidd. Would I go back? Sure, but I would be wasted before setting foot inside.
I really did like the bi-​level set up with clean bathrooms in the basement and lots of standing room upstairs. However, when everyone just hangs around with mouths agape, staring at the «shower show» I wonder if this is a bar or a strip joint. Maybe it’s my Denver upbringing but this isn’t my idea of a night on the town.
Drinks were pricey which is never a good thing. But at least it was easy to belly up to the bar. Also, unlike other bars this one was VERY easy to find. I would say stop in just to say you did and then bounce to the next spot. There are a ton in this neighborhood.

Dans la lignée de mes clubs gay préférés je compte le raidd bar.
Contrairement au CUD il y a plus d’heterogeneité dans la fréquentation du club.
Je n’ai pour ma part rencontré aucun problème de sécurité, mais il est vrai que le week end le club est bondé et un peu de vigilance s’impose
Ambiance folle, bon son, de beaux serveurs torse nu, et le fameux show sous la douche un tantinet caricatural mais ça contribue à l’originalité du lieu.
Comme partout il faut compter 10euros pour un hard et la moitié pour un soft.
La plupart des gens quittent le raidd vers 2h pour poursuivre la soirée au CUD.

Un bar hyper boys, j’adore y aller le samedi; même si c’est bondé et que les vols à la tire se répètent. D’ailleurs au mois de Mai; on était sortis toute la bande (une vingtaine) personne n’avait remarqué quoi que ce soit. Puis, 2 tireurs se pointe sur Philou pour lui faire les poches pendant que le premier lui faisait du frotte-​frotte par devant. Nous sommes venu un à un autour et avons attiré ces 2 messieurs (no boys) dans la petite rue Ste Croix de la Bretonnerie pour leur donner une charmante correction qui a du leur passer l’envie de revenir .
A part cela, tout vas très bien et plus encore, venez et si vous n’êtes pas Gays, nous vous montrerons comment faire

The bar has potential… but probably the rudest clientele I’ve experienced at any bar. When not crowded, the bar is ok. Couple of dancers with extremely nice bodies. Had a shower show though the showeree wasn’t my type – they do broadcast it to basement bar area. Once crowded, people turn extremely pushy – REALLY pushy… and extremely rude – as though you’re not standing there. As we’re walking out, two guys are in front of us and they stop right in front of the exit – blocking the entry/exit…didn’t even move for an «Pardon»…they moved though after my firm shove. There has got to be better places in Paris.

Sehr bekannte und beliebte schwule Bar im schwulen Viertel Marais. Hier kann man was trinken und die hübschen Jungs beobachten. Auch das topless-​Servicepersonal sieht sehr lecker aus. Gespielt wird guter house und man kann hier auch abtanzen. Im Keller gibts né separate Bar. Sommers wie Winters kann man auch auf den Sitzplätzen vor dem Lokal die Szene beobachten. In regelmäßigen Abständen gibt ein gogo Tänzer unter der Dusche sein Bestes. Ich gehe hier sehr gerne hin.

Fun bar to go to. Maybe there was a coat check, but I couldn’t find it. The crowd was mixed with locals and tourist. Drinks were average price but lacked in taste. The bartender who mixed my drink, added ice with his bare hands which was kind of disconcerning (sanitary reasons).

I’d say its was a 2.5 star experience. It reminds of NYC’s Splash with the shower show going on in the corner, but alas there was no show that night — but they did have a couple of «dancers», I dunno if I want to call them that, on stage next to the DJ.
Its a cool bar with a lot of neon, and man it gets really packed on a Saturday night. I was a little disgusted when we ordered drinks though, The bartender used his hands to put the ice in our glasses. Ew honey, I don’t know where them hands have been so please keep it outta my drink.

Pour y etre allé samedi dernier avec des amis, je peux vous assurer que l’endroit n’est pas du tout sécurisé (en dépit de la sécurité) et que les vols sont aisés, surtout le weekend
Pour preuve, vol de mon portefeuille et de ma CB après avoir payé un verre par CB au sous-​sol ! Et utilisation frauduleuse de ma CB.
La technique est simple: le bar est bondé, bcp de corps à corps, on épie facilement vos faits et gestes (notamment le code pour payer par CB) puis on vous drague, se serre contre vous pendant qu’un autre en profite pour vous faire les poches (surtt si vous avez 1 ou plusieurs verres à la main). Ni vu ni connu, portefeuille volatilisé.
Endroit parfait pour s’envoyer en l’air dans tous les sens du terme, mais aussi pour être la cible d’individus qui ont un but particulier, vous voler. Je n’étais pas bourré à ce moment-​là, j’avais juste les mains prises par les 2 verres que je venais de commander.
Je né remettrai plus jamais les pieds ds ce bar. Le staff de sécurité est totalement incompétent, et au su de certains commentaires ici, certains serveurs n’hésitent pas à vous retenir plus que le prix d’un verre en omettant de rendre le change.
Mon avis: éviter absolument ce bar les weekends, ou dès que celui-​ci est bondé. Né comptez ni sur le personnel, ni sur la direction en cas de problèmes.
D’autres endroits sur Paris sont beaucoup plus intéressants et sécurisants, sans avoir à s’inquiéter constamment sur nos effets personnels

Gay Nightlife in Paris is generally pretty awful.
Went to this bar a couple times last summer and to compare it to some of the bars in the states, you might think of it as being the Paris version of Los Angeles’s MJ’s (without the dancefloor) or San Francisco’s Badlands (without the dancefloor) — The two times I was here dancing wasn’t happening. Just a bunch of awkward stares.

The bitchy drag queen, is there any other kind, asked me where i was from and i told her NYC. She went on to act all superior over me. I had to tell this Romanian gypsy transplant who was running what. Walk up to me with your chocolate candy and a mic and think i am going to be cute with you. This is New York —
Anyways, the beer is cheap and the men are sleazy. There is a shower and somehow Splash rises above them, still.
I digress. they’re the only place to really go on a Monday or Tuesday.

This is most definitely my favorite boîte in all of Paris. The energy here is amazing every night of the week. I always come here at least a few times when I am in town. I have met very beautiful cool people here from all over the world. Si tu sors dans le Marais, il faut aller au Raidd!

Le bar branché du Marais par excellence. On y va pour être voir et être vu. De charmants garçons très dénudés et qui souffrent d’un trouble de la propreté feront mousser le gel douche jusqu’au bout de la nuit, grâce à de grandes douches incrustées dans les murs… Petite salle «lounge» au sous-​sol qui né paye pas de mine. Musique, ambiance et clientèle selon les soirées (très sympathique le mardi par exemple). L’entrée est gratuite et les verres dans la moyenne du quartier. Difficile de circuler en week-​end mais bonne ambiance toute la semaine. Le personnel pourrait être plus avenant. A visiter au moins une fois !

Tout ce que je déteste dans le Marais !
Ambiance survoltée grâce à l’alcool qui coule à flot, aux poppers et autres substances illicites… Musique tellement forte que l’on né s’entend pas crier à son voisin qu’il vient de vous renverser son cocktail à 15 € sur votre chemise… Boum Boum Boum, ce que c’est chiant quand on n’a plus dix sept ans.
Serveurs starlettes qui se la pètent et qui vous gratifient d’un vent à chaque passage… Cerise sur le gâteau: des douches où des Gogo se dessapent et se touchent mollement (mais alors très mollement)… tout ça est d’un mauvais goût !
Bön bah voilà, je suis un vieux pédé con… j’assume, moi je préfère les Souffleurs, à deux rues près, là au moins on s’amuse !

L’endroit Gay par excellence: musique, serveurs, déco: tout est fait pour vous mettre dans une ambiance hype/​electro/​bling bling.
A partir de 17h, une terrasse chauffée accueille les passants pour l’apéritif. Puis vers 22h, la musique devient plus forte et les gogos commencent à se savonner dans la douche sur le côté du bar (à peu près une fois par heure).
Les serveurs ont tous un petit côté star (ils se la jouent un peu quoi), d’où leur manqué d’amabilité parfois.
De toute manière, vous tomberez dessus si vous marcher toute la rue du Temple. Il est reconnaissable à 100 mètres !
PS: les filles, né vous sentez pas exclues, même si vous né vous ferez pas draguer, rien de telle qu’une soirée avec des amis gays…

Une ambiance survoltée dans ce bar qui a osé incruster une douche entre ces murs et bien entendu celle-​ci n’est pas juste un accessoire déco un peu barge mais sert à accueillir des gogo danseurs très musclés qui se savonnent au plus grand plaisir d’un public gay masculin! Donc faites vous servir une boisson par un des serveurs torse nu et regardez un gogo danseur se doucher !! Mais le raidd est aussi un lieu où il y a toujours du monde, une ambiance très festive, de la musique qui varie selon les soirées et une clientèle sympa, plutôt jeune et très souvent internationale. Si tout ce monde vous fatigue, vous pouvez toujours allez boire votre verre dans les pièces du sous-​sol plus calmes et où les canapés sont très confortables. A trop vous aventurer vous pourrez même trouver une back room

Really good place for the prices and ambiance. Picks up when the Happy Hours at surrounding bars end and the people move on. A later night spot with hot bartenders and Loud music/​dancing/​entertainment (Live Semi-​Nude showers take place in plexiglass stalls mounted high on the walls as the time gets later.)
Very upbeat boisterous crowd. but always friendly. Bar staff exceptionally friendly and fast. as well as being eye candy.
Mostly gay, but as always some STR8’s as well which is cool – and usually the norm in Europe. Check it out! ‘(¿)

People à souhait
Pas grand chose à découvrir dans ce bar très «classique». Le +? Il est dans le marais donc soi-​disant branché. Le —? On a l’impression d’être une usine à dépenser car le sourire et le côté agréable des serveurs est très approximatif !
