Delicious Moroccan food yet the quaint, cozy ambiance and caring and personal service of Atika herself and her family make this place a real gem.

Outstanding Moroccan cuisine lovingly prepared and served by family in a small, intimate setting. After a month in Paris eating French cuisine exclusively, this place was godsend. Fresh, spicy, delicious flavors. We had the lamb tagine, merguez couscous and an assortment of vegetable dishes. Also a bottle of Maroccan red wine(Cab/Merlot blend for 20 euros), which was amazing. Charming atmosphere and the cleanest, prettiest bathroom in Paris. Can’t wait to return.

For the second year consecutively, we have rented apartments in the Marais. This restaurant was one that I bookmarked before we departed the US. It is less than .5 mile from St. Antoine and Rue Sevigne. A great walk down some memorable streets/lanes. The place is small, 4 – 5 tables, one round table that seats 6. The atmosphere is welcoming, cozy and almost like being in the family’s dining room. A woman greets and seats you upon arrival. She is energetic and smiles continuously. She apparently likes people. She does not speak english. I asked her what D’Atika was. She told me «C’est Moi», it is her name. Atika is in the front end of the place and her mom is in the kitchen making dinners. She can cook! I had the veal tangine with almonds and figs. The veal was on bone and tender, the figs like candy. I mixed in my side cous cous with the plat principal for an extra treat. My wife ordered a beef cous cous which she enjoyed much. I had dessert of café et baklava. The baklava is a small serving, typical of Parisian portions but very good. This version used walnuts. In our ten days in Paris, I had Italian, Portuguese, Haggis and raw oysters from the fish monger who setup shop outside our apartment on Friday to Sunday. This small, real neighborhood restaurant served the best of any food type we had during our stay. When I say neighborhood, I mean local residents, all folks Atika knew, came in for sit down or takeout. Do not let language be a barrier keeping you from this place. Atika’s daughter, age 8 – 10, speaks French, Spanish and English. With two dinners, wine, my total was 45 euro. You will like D’Atika’s.

Très bon restaurant marocain. Une présentation très raffinée ! Les produits sont de qualités et le choix de pâtisseries est considérable. C’est néanmoins un petit restaurant mais il est très joli.

We enjoyed a late lunch at Saveur d’Atika and have nothing but rave reviews after enjoying the lamb Tagine! As I said, we were late for lunch, so we were the only customers there, but it was an intimate experience because of this. There are only a few tables, so I’d imagine you’ll find one hard to come by at peak meal times. We tried three of the sample plates, the tabbouleh, lentils, and a ratatouille like dish(chakchouka?). They were delicately flavored to perfection. We shared the lamb Tagine with preserved lemon and olives. It was to ie for, again the flavor was delicate(but intricate) with Lamb being the prominent flavor. It was served with a nice little mound of cous cous. The portions were perfect for us to share as a light lunch, but if you are there for dinner or hungry for a more traditional large lunch definitely get your own :). The price was spot on at 15 euros for the main meal. We finished our meal with delightful mint tea and some baklava like Moroccan treats. This is a smaller, neighborhood style eatery. It is beautifully decorated, the dishware is gorgeous, and the seating is intimate and comfortable. The price was outstanding for the quality of food and the ladies providing the service were adorable, attentive and just plain lovely. Be prepared to use your French, they don’t speak English(which I take as a +1 for being less touristy). You can look at their menu online and translate to help you know what you want before you arrive. Highly, highly recommended :)

We stumbled up Saveurs d’Atika while walking around the Marais and were drawn in by the aromas of exotic food. Inside you find a small, very nicely decorated Moroccan restaurant serving an array of truly delicious food. We sampled a variety of vegetable dishes and a few different tajines, one lamb with prunes and another of chicken with lemon and olives. Everything was differently and deliciously spiced and the best Moroccan food I’ve had to date. Service is friendly and efficient. I wish I could return right now for more.
