Okay okay. I know it’s France. I know service is slow, people eat slow, it’s all slow, I get it. But still… it shouldn’t take 1.5 hours or longer to complete a meal here. Our first 45 minutes were waiting and waiting and more waiting.
After that though, be amazed to find real authentic awesome korean food in France. They don’t speak much english so be prepared to use your finger to point or if you known some korean, go for it.
The wifey and I felt this place was a gem. If you can get pass the absurdly slow service, it’ll be a good experience.

the service is great and knows how to improvise: we were late (missed the reservation time by 30 minutes but could inform the restaurant only shortly before…) but they managed to offer us a table though the whole restaurant was crowded already.
the food is good for a Korean restaurant in Paris — 80% authentic and fresh.
you won’t regret eating and staying there! for the full Korean experience, eat there with your best friends, get drunk with soju, and then use the karaōke machine…

Très bon restaurant Coréen ! Très petit et cocon, je vous conseil de réserver à fin d’éviter d’avoir une place près de la porte d’entrée et d’avoir froid à chaque entrée de client. Les prix sont raisonnable vu l’emplacement du restaurant, comptez 25 à 35 euros par personnes (les repas son assez copieux) Je recommande !

C’est un joli restaurant coréen à coté des champs Elysées.
Un accueil très sympathique puisque effet c’était pour un anniversaire nous avions réservé pour 4 alors que nous étions 6 pour un effet de surprise et la patronne nous à trouvé une table en bas alors que tout était réservé dans un espace un peu privatisé super sympa !
Les serveurs sont adorables mais vraiment il y’a un jeune gomme qui connaissait la carte par coeur et qui nous à bien fait rire lorsqu’au moment de la commande on lui disait les plats il nous disait avec son accent les numéros.
Des menus très corrects au niveau des prix et sinon vous passez par la fourchette vous avez –30% sur l’addition donc cela vaut vraiment le coup.
Nous avons pris les spécialités: BBQ aux boeuf, un bibimpam, des gyozas tout est très bons.
Les plats sont corrects au niveau des quantités et il y’a un très joli service de cuisine en cuivre.
Au niveau des prix aussi, vous avez des menus à 15 euros sinon les plats sont à 17 euros, un peu cher sans la réduction mais cela reste tout de même assez correct tout les plats sont servis avec un bol de riz et des légumes.
Une belle adresse coréenne à partager en couple, entre amis ou en famille, vous avez 3 salles et un accueil au top.

This restaurant is not to be mistaken for Soon Grill. It’s in a great location in the 8eme. I’m very familiar with Korean food and understand it can be very spicy for a lot of French people. And, I understand catering to your customers. But, we specifically told our wait person that we are not French, hence we can eat spicy food. The soup came out and it was OK. We ordered the bimbap and a tofu and beef casserole. OH MY GOD, it was devoid of any flavor at all. The only thing that had flavor was the kimchi and the spicy chili sauce, which we asked for refills, and had to douce our food with it to give it any flavor. I have one thing to say, C’ÉTAIT (bland).
And, to add insult to injury it was extremely noisey. To the point we were screaming at each other. Service was schizophrenic. Nope, not on my list to ever go back.

1ère tentative de restaurant coréen dans ce quartier. Salle moyennement agréable, surtout si vous êtes prêt de la porte. Service très sympathique même si un peu long pour prendre la commande.
La soupe en entrée était moyenne.
Les raviolis grillés étaient moyens et tièdes, je n’ai pas été emballé.
Mon convive a bien aimé sa salade de laitue et crevettes même si elle n’avait rien de coréen ni d’exceptionnel.
Ma marmite de bœuf avec champignons et vermicelles était moyenne, ça n’avait pas beaucoup de gout.
En revanche, le Bibimpap au bœuf de mon convive était excellent avec des légumes pas trop cuits et bien «croquants».
Les 4 kimchis qui nous ont été servis étais bons: racine de lotus, chou mariné, courgettes et…
Les prix étaient corrects pour le quartier: 18 € le menu avec le Bibimpap et 20 € avec la marmite.
J’y reviendrai pour goûter le Bibimpap.
25/​03/​2015: J’ai déjeuné dans la salle au sous-​sol qui est assez confortable et d’après l’équipement TV + enceintes, il doit y avoir possibilité de Karaoké.
J’ai goûté le Bibimpap au tartare de bœuf et il est vraiment délicieux !
Du coup, je relève ma note à 4 étoiles. ;-)
31/​03/​2015: J’ai déjeuné dans la petite salle du sous-​sol qui est assez petite et pas très bien chauffée. On est un peu isolés dans cette salle et il faut parfois attendre un petit bout de temps la serveuse.
J’ai goûté cette fois-​ci le Japchae.(sauté de vermicelles au bœuf et aux légumes) La présentation est originale avec la tranche de concombre autour. Ce Japchae était bon mais la portion était un peu petite, même si servi avec un bol de riz blanc.
01/​06/​2015: Très bon Bibimpap au kimchi, quoique un peu trop relevé à mon gout (18 € en menu). Les kimchis, les raviolis et la soupe en entrée sont toujours aussi bons.
08/07:2015: Très bon Bulgogi (barbecue coréen) de bœuf servi avec un bol de riz blanc (17 € en menu). Les kimchis, les raviolis et la soupe en entrée sont toujours aussi bons.

Tu cherches la Corée? Tu l’as trouvé… Enfin en partie et à 2 min des Champs Elysées ! D’emblée tu peux penser que la salle est petite mais tututute la Corée a plus d’un tour dans son sac… Au sous sol se cachent deux autres salles ! Ça fait un peu bizarre de manger sans voir la lumière du jour ! Sinon le menu du midi peut valoir le coup dans le quartier parce qu’on mange bien, et vite pour le quartier des workers/​touristes/​fashionista ! Pour 17 € tu as une soupe insipide et grasse, 5 mini gyozas plutôt bons et un bibimbap au top ! Le seul petit hic est le manqué de viande pour le prix parce qu’on doit tourner autours de 50 g max ! Mais par contre, le bibimbap c’est MA révélation ! Le riz et les légumes sont disposés dans un bol en fonte hyper chaud… Et la OMG ce riz croustillant grâce à la chaleur de la fonte ! Bön par contre j’ai pas tester les desserts ! J’aime manger, pas les expériences culinaires !?

3,5 pour ce restau. Le service ultra rapide. Leur cusine moyenne. Car ça sent très bon mais il n’y a pas trop de goût. Le tiramisu coréen est très bizzard. il y a un goût particuiller.

Resto typique coréen tenu par des coréens et dont la clientèle est majoritairement coréenne ! Nourriture asiatique bien différente du chinois ou thaï, très bonne.
Resto à la déco simple, mais aux tables bien dressées, personnel souriant et disponible.
Tout était bien mais le prix est très (trop) élevé sans la promotion la fourchette.

Excellent Korean food right in the heart of Paris. All the staff speak very competent French outside of their Korean, and the menu is a simplified version of what you will see in most «traditional» Korean restaurants. Great flavors, very good portion sizes, and fast service.
Make a reservation. Otherwise you’re going to need to show up as «soon» as they open to get a spot. :-)

Un cadre agréable, sobre design et chaleureux, une musique de fond moderne coréenne, quelques orchidées blanches et les serveuses coréennes très aimables et souriantes pour une petite salle de 24 couverts pleine de coréens très discrets.
Il y a aussi une autre salle au sous sol qui propose d’autres variantes de cuisine.
Les menus ce soir étaient à 23EUR, 24EUR et 25EUR pour celui au saumon, entrée, plat et dessert au choix.
La cuisine est raffinée et très bien présentée.
Une très bonne adresse en bas des Champs Elysées.

Beware! The food is adequate at very best. The service is awful. Our four entrees arrived one at a time over the course of 45 minutes. One was incorrect and had to be redone. The waitress picked the pepper flakes off the dish and then tried to force us to keep it. Truly disappointing.

We had been in Paris a day and we had the craving — we did a quick Unilocal search on Korean food and Soon popped up. We showed up at 7:30 (seemingly early by Parisian standards) and found a very quiet restaurant but decided to stay and order anyway — we shared a bibimbop hot pot (which was standard, tasty, filling — the only negative is that it came with beef which wasn’t clearly indicated on the menu) and what was translated as caramelized shrimp but really tasted more like a shrimp tempura. While I wouldn’t have raved about any of this if I were eating Korean food i, say, Wheaton MD, on a very cold January evening, this hit the spot.

Service courtois et prix raisonnables.

Out of all the places in the world I would think to go to look for high quality Korean food, France is definitely not what immediately comes to my mind. But if I claimed that the folks here aren’t capable of providing great Korean food just a few hundred feet away from the Champs-​Élysées, I would be selling them short. I have not seen better Korean food in France than what is available at «Soon.» It just had to be located right next to a big touristy place, but if you’re tired of walking along the avenue and just want to find a good place to eat at, why settle for the ridiculously price gouged restaurants on the main road when there’s this hidden gem only a short distance away?
In accordance with standard procedure at many Korean restaurants, several trays of vegetables are served before the main meal. I don’t know their exact names because I didn’t specifically order them, but the kimchi was unmistakable and it was a delight being able to eat it in this part of the world. Along with that came a small bowl of something that resembled miso soup. I may not be able to accurately identify it, but then again, I’m just an amateur food critic.
Just going quickly down the menu, I saw eighteen entrées mostly priced from ten euros to seventeen euros. Toward the bottom, two of them cost twenty-​two euros and one was thirty-​eight euros. I ordered the sweet and crispy fried chicken for sixteen euros. When the dish arrived, I thought to myself that it looked more like barbecue wings than anything else. The «sweet and crispy» descriptor on the menu certainly was accurate, but the chicken in front of me bore little resemblance to fried chicken, both in taste and appearance. Given the name, I was expecting something more like KFC (why was I expecting that at a Korean restaurant?). So it was surprising seeing this come from Korean cuisine, but I can’t complain because it was so good. Basically, these were just barbecue wings with the crispy outer skin of fried chicken but softened by the sweet barbecue sauce to the point that it’s almost no longer recognizable as fried chicken. The pieces were terribly small, and sixteen euros for them might have been a little steep had they not been so well-​made.
One more item here that I want to touch upon is the soju. Where else are you going to find Korean liquor in a country that prides itself so much on its own wine? I barely tasted any of it, so it wouldn’t be fair for me to rate it; I’m just mentioning that they have it here. I also want to mention that the staff here speak both French and Korean, which is a cool mix (although that probably shouldn’t come as a surprise considering the job). I don’t know about their English, but there shouldn’t be any problems here arising from a language barrier; their menu is also in English. The waiters were friendly and helpful, too. They were able to give me change for my fifty-​euro bill so that I could pay for my meal in smaller denominations. In a city full of people constantly trying to scam tourists, it’s nice being able to complete this kind of transaction so easily.
When most people plan a visit to France, they probably don’t have this kind of food on their radars. But if you’re traveling abroad, you might as well make the most out of it, and that includes trying out all the good restaurants you can. That might even include an authentic Korean restaurant run by Korean people. Unfortunately, I don’t think many people are aware of this place, as it was pretty empty while I was here. The touristy vibe that pervades most of Paris is absent here, but that may be a relief for anyone wishing to escape from the traps for tourists that lie around every corner in the city. If you want the pleasure of discovering a fantastic restaurant that’s away from all that, it would definitely be a good idea to make a trip here.

Les prix des plats sont un peu plus chers en raison du lieu où le restaurant se trouve, mais le décor est très chic et les plats goûteux.
Il y avait une période où une heure de noraebang était offerte pour un dîner; et une autre où il faut manger pour plus de 150 EUR…
J’avais aussi réservé une fois la salle de noraebang, puis quand j’arrive on me dit que non, et que la salle a pris l’eau et que la machine né marche plus… Je né sais pas si c’est vrai, mais ils auraient pu m’appeler pour me prévenir car ils avaient mes coordonnées… J’y suis pas retournée depuis.

Excellent. I was on a business trip, tired and I needed «the food of my people» as a pick up. I have been burnt in Paris before by really awful Asian food in Paris but this is a real Korean restaurant. I had the soondubu which was the perfect restorative on a rainy day.

Une bonne adresse pour découvrir la cuisine coréenne à des tarifs abordables (19 € le menu complet) à deux pas des Champs Elysées. La salle n’est pas très grande, la déco moderne et l’accueil agréable. Pour avoir déjà testé ailleurs, j’ai beaucoup aimé: les raviolis grillés, le Bibimbap (marmite de légumes et boeuf) et le barbecue (quoique pas très traditionnel dans sa présentation). J’ai moins accroché sur la soupe de nouilles froides. A noter: un large choix d’alcools coréens.
