Thai Lao

Concern and difference: we ordered one dish for the two of us and the lady (seems like owner) wasnt happy. She unfortunately had an attitude and we had to point out thats a concern, may be in a bad mood. Secind the food options are not like America, the food was OK, hard to comment on quality as food was edible but nothing special. Nothing to visit twice for, the service was better once we mentioned her attitude.

Thai Food in Paris!
There were quite a few Thai restaurants in the nearby vicinity of my Paris hotel, one of which was next door. With that said, I was here for late night take out on a recent October evening for love of Thai food and the sheer convenience of the location. I felt like this restaurant was indeed a mom and pop establishment, so it was nice to support them and having Thai for a meal was great. However, prices here were pretty up there, at least for entrées. Be prepared to be spending at least 14 euros, if not more. I should have dined in the restaurant, but I wanted to eat and pack up in the room before leaving for Amsterdam the next day. Even though the order was take out, this restaurant was medium sized, inviting, decorative, and cozy.
I spent about 20 minutes here from ordering to pick up and felt welcomed by the owner. The ambiance was quiet, being that it was a Thursday evening after 2045. Thai Lao Thai restaurant is located at the 38 block of Rue Garibaldi in the heart of Paris. Parking along Garibaldi is notoriously known for no street parking, since we are in the thick of Paris. Best bet would be to have someone with you while driving to pick up an order or ride public transit. If you are lucky to happen to get a parking space, more kudos to you. Thai Lao accepts credit cards, including my international visa. Even when credit cards are accepted, be cautious about using your US branded visa or MasterCard while overseas. If not, cash is always accepted!
The lady owner of Thai Lao was nice, courteous, and funny. She asked me where I was from and she had vacationed in Hawaii years ago. She wanted to go back. Someday, she says. I ultimately ordered the duck curry to go, along with sticky rice and fresh summer rolls. That order set me back about 20 euros, but I didn’t care. I was patronizing a mom and pop establishment and also on vacation. The potion of duck curry was considerably small, served in a small container. Thought I would have gotten a bigger serving portion for 14 euro, but that’s how it goes. The curry itself was not bad at all. It was delicious, but wished I had more to enjoy. The sticky rice hit the spot, especially when I love Thai food and being so far from home, its nice to have that locally. Thanks Unilocal for locating this place as well!
The summer rolls were slightly cold, assuming that it was pulled from the fridge recently before the ordering. I can’t help but think that maybe the ingredients were refrigerated, but made fresh? Hoping that’s the case, but I liked my summer rolls prepared at room temperature. That way I know they are fresh. With that said, the overall experience was nice. The restaurant was clean and well organized. If I ever return to Paris, I will give this Thai restaurant a shot at dining in versus just taking out (take away, as it’s said in Europe). Recommended to get your Thai on in central Paris.

Great service and even better food. We had the garlic pepper pork, the lemongrass chicken, satay beef and Thai spring rolls. We had sticky rice as an addition. All dishes were full of flavour — just so delicious! More on the expensive side for Thai, about € 50 for two but worth it. Would definitely recommend this restaurant.

Il est sympas pour manger à midi, rapide, nourriture faite par le patron, bon marché.

Bön soyons honnêtes, ce genre d’endroit né devrait pas exister. Je pense.
Déjà le cadre n’est pas fabuleux.
Ensuite, la nourriture n’est pas forcement bonne, juste comestible. Mais c’est du comestible cher!

Total donc de 18 €, avec un «vas-​y-​que-​je-​te-​pousse-​à-​la-​consommation».
Service pas forcement mal-​aimable, mais clairement pas aimable.
Rien à dire, endroit à éviter.
ET PUIS EN THAÏLANDE ON MANGE SANS BAGUETTES!

Miam comme c’est bon dans ce restaurant raffiné thaïlandais. Vous aurez la chance d’y trouver une carte très garnie de plats traditionnels thaïlandais et le résultat en vaut la chandelle mes amis! C’est bon de chez bon! Né vous attendez pas à un restaurant faisant dans les grandes portions en qualité médiocre! Que nenni! C’est tout le contraire! Et on sort du resto en ayant bien mangé, sans se casser le bide et en ayant découvert des mets bien raffinés.
Bön par contre, peut être suis je tombé sur un mauvais soir (jeudi soir) mais on a été servi par une femme (la gérante on dirait) qui est hyper nerveuse et stressante Donc rien que pour ce côté bien désagréable, hop, j’enlève 1 étoile! Cela dit ça n’ote en rien la magnifique saveur des plats.
Comptez 19 euros pour une formule entrée plat dessert le soir et 15 Euros pour midi.

Plats thaïlandais typiques, très relevés et frais. La cuisine y est excellente, rien à redire.
De l’extérieure la façade est sobre, mais une fois à l’intérieure l’ambiance est chaleureuse.
A essayer absolument: le lap de boeuf haché, ou les pâtes thaïlandaises.
Très bon petit restaurant et surtout l’addition reste correcte!

Nous avons mangé deux ou trois fois au Lao Thai à Paris. Nous né pouvons pas rappelé avoir mangé mieux thai, sauf en thailande.
Le service n’est pas bon, mais égalisé par les plats délicieux.

Bön petit resto à coté du métro aérien, les plats sont de bonne qualité et pas chers.
le canard au lait de coco est remarquable.
Service agréable; même si le décor n’est pas grand chose, c’est un endroit où retourner.

Une petite perle dans le 15e. Ce restaurant est un véritable petit bijou. La déco est jolie et typique du pays.
Côté gastronomie, une vraie pépite. Les salades de papayes sont très relevés et fraiches!
La carte propose une pléthores de plats excellents et copieux.
Côté prix, c’est vraiment très abordable, surtout comparé aux autres restaurants de Paris (notamment dans le 15ème). Et le rapport qualité quantité prix est des meilleurs !
Des mets succulents, bonne ambiance, un dejeuner complet pour 10euro.

C’est un très bon restaurant thaïlandais, régulièrement vide, donc on mange seul. Loin de tout, c’est un restaurant qui né paie pas de mine, par contre les plats sont raffinés et bon marchés.
