Pentahotel Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport

So… my husband booked this hotel because it was close to CDG and we were only staying a night in Paris to catch a flight back to the States. As soon as we stepped inside the hotel we were confused. There were no signs to the reception area. We kept walking straight until we reached the center quad of the hotel. We then realized, we may have passed the reception area. As we back tracked we still saw no signs. I decided to go into what looked like a bar/​lounge/​restaurant. It wasn’t busy. I went to the bar area for assistance. There was an employee underneath the counter doing something. I asked her where the reception area for the hotel is. She said, «here» and continued with what she was doing. I signaled my husband to come in. The mere fact that there were no visible sign for the reception was minus a star. The mere fact that the reception is at a bar, was minus another star! It was barely mid afternoon and music was blaring. How could they hear a customer calling in for rsvp or questions? It just seems they were trying to be too hip. There was probably 3 or 4 customers sitting around. My husband waited for service for 10 minutes before another girl came to assist us. She was nice though.
We took the elevator to our room on the 2^nd floor. The whole hallway décor was horrid. It was all black. It just appeared dark and old. Our room was ok.
I would never come back here. The whole place just seemed uninviting. I think they may have aimed for the W look but fell a bit short.

The one and only hotel I’ve been to where they do not provide soap. That’s a first an not in a good way. The room was nice though and the restaurant serves excellent food.

Hate this nasty hotel! It’s dirty and gross and the staff is not helpful! Beware of hidden charges if you eat here they will make you pay twice! $ 50 for soup yep I am pissed!
Do not come to this hotel pay the extra $ 10 – 15 to go somewhere else!

Booked when it was a Radisson but was far below that standard… little fridge was broken; ice machines had cords cut so they were inoperable, internet was slow, booked a non-​smoking room but only had a smoking room available, no soap provided in the bathroom; two thin pillows for wife and I. People at the desk were nice so that was good.
