Hôtel Gounod

Right in the heart of Saint Remy de Provence, Hotel Gounod is a beautiful and cozy boutique hotel.
Not only does the beautiful décor make you feel at home — so do the employees and the owner. They really go out of their way to meet your needs and give any help if needed. There is someone at the desk ²⁴⁄₇ to assist you.
Rooms are small but comfortable. The shower was nice and large. Bathroom was separate and alongside the wall near one bed — which could make for an awkward situation. We wish a mini fridge had been provided in the room because of all the wine and cheese we kept buying! However, the hotel happily kept our cheese stash in their fridge for us.
The breakfast consisted of fresh made: juice, croissants, pastries, baguettes, cheese, yogurt, and fresh fruit. It was all very delicious. A sell serve machine also made great espressos, lattes, hot chocolate, ect. from fresh beans. The gal that ran the breakfast room was always cheerful.
We loved lounging in the communal garden area. However, we were bummed the hot tub was closed down already for the season. Hot tubs are best when it’s freezing outside!
If staying in St Remy again, I wouldn’t hesitate in staying at Hotel Gounod again.
Ps Don’t forget to give Mademoiselle Scarlett plenty of attention!

We were on a 3 day bike ride through Provence and we definitely mixed in great food & drink. This hotel was pre-​chosen by the biking company my amazing fiancé chose.
Beautiful hotel and the rooms are adorable — we were so glad we had a ground floor room!
overlooked the courtyard and within 30 paces to the great pool — great water temps.
Try and time your stay for the Wednesday outdoor market — this was one of the best we had ever seen! hotel Gounod is perfectly situated in the heart of it.
Such friendly and multi lingual staff. The breakfast was beautifully appointed with fresh yogurt, cheeses, jams and honey and bread. How much more can I eat?! apparently a LOT.
The room we had was smartly decorated too — loved the brown/​white color scheme.

Great hotel, right across from the attractions of St. Remy.
The hotel has interesting religious themed décor, with statues of Mary and Jesus throughout and even in the rooms. The room itself is actually spacious compared to all the other places I have visited in France. There is plenty of room to maneuver around the bed. The room is very clean, as is the bathroom with a rain shower head. There are bathrobes and dispensers for soap.
There is a computer in the lobby with Internet access. The wifi was spotty and difficult to connect to from the room. But once the connection was established in the lobby, my phone didn’t lose it.
The breakfast is pretty standard but good, with lots of fresh fruit, bread, cheese, cereal and fresh squeeze OJ.
I would recommend Hotel Gounod.
