Great meal from start to finish. Really enjoyed the hibachi-style chicken and red rice. The chicken was tender with great flavor and the rice was well seasoned. The Marlborough Mauta from New Zealand was a very nice Pinot Noir … my new favorite. The red velvet cake was a great way to round out the meal.

Always a great service and food is always perfect. My last visit was for my mother’s B-Day. We couldn’t make reservations because they were booked so we walked in. When the manager saw it was a celebration he came over and helped make the evening special. Best local BBQ on island by far.

The reason for the three stars was mainly because the server took forever to get to our table. The restaurant was fairly empty but he seemed to over focused to tend to his friends table. Thank God I was able to pull one of the waiters on the side who graciously helped us and got some drinks. We ordered the poke and that was pretty lame to be called poke. I’m not a huge fan of the avocado or the sauce that goes with the poke. What I did like we’re the BBQ. They are very tasty and cooked well. I’m not a huge fan of the house dressing they use for the salad. His restaurant gets 3 stars for their taro cheesecake. It’s the best I’ve ever tasted. The other desert I ate was the banana fritters and they weren’t anything special.

Best restaurant on Guam! We had the Big Feller trio and the asparagus salad, it blew our minds. Great atmosphere, delicious food, and we will definitely be coming back to try more!

My in-laws and I are on-island for a wedding. I was last in PROA last January(2016). I didn’t review it but I knew it wouldn’t disappoint. The food was awesome. Service great and just a really good time. My in-laws aren’t uptight snobs but they’ve traveled the world and never have been on island and they loved this place. To add, we didn’t need reservations like the strip mall place up the street. I always tell people I meet going to Guam to dine here.

This restaurant is the best we’ve been to out here so far. The food is amazing without being over priced and the service is awesome. We came here twice in one weekend because we loved it so much. The bbq is so good, the fried parrot fish special was amazing, I really liked the soft shell crab sandwich and you have to save room for dessert. We’re from San Diego CA and go to a lot of foodie restaurants out there and this place would be a huge hit if it was out there. It’s nice to have a great restaurant on this island.

Loved the service & the food. The first time I went there I went with my family & it was just so good. The food is so amazing, it’s like they took local food & just made it super fancy & more yummy. The place is pricy, but it’s worth it. Definitely going back

Like it’s sister restaurant across town, this Proa restaurant is phenomenal! I’ve been here on several occasions and keep coming back because of the amazing food and service. Each afternoon they also have a delightful happy hour with pre-dinner goodies at a table across from the bar. They also have live music several nights a week. I’ve never left Proa disappointed. The three meat trio is amazing and their selections of dessert are outstanding. I would highly recommend Proa… 5 stars!!!

I’m not sure how this place stays so popular. The ribeye was tough and all three orders were undercooked and the mashed potatoes were cold. We did enjoy the parrot fish and the service was great.

Had the 3 pork deal(forgot the earl name) it was good but it was not what the menu said it would be. No pork tenderloin wrapped in bacon, instead it was a pork chop no bacon but it still was good. The pork belly could have been cooked longer. i like the crispy style. All in all it was very good as usual. Very good staff that always remember us, which makes the experience that more enjoyable!

Proa is one of my favorite restaurants whenever I come back home for an American(New) twist on local cuisine and more! I have the preference for the Agana location over their Tumon restaurant as Agana can accommodate more if you have a larger party. The big feller plate is a must have for the best marinade, the Cornish game hen and ribeye is amazing as well. The dessert is my absolute favorite! Visit their bakery for a slice of Wasabi cheesecake or for their cupcakes! You will not regret one bite!

Definitely one of my few favorite restaurants on Guam! All the food and desserts are delicious! Live local music on select days. The bbq trio platter is the best! If you order the bbq, wait is usually never an issue. Parrot fish is also a must try. For dessert — can’t go wrong with taro cheesecake or banana fritters. I frequent Proa for HH when they serve complimentary pupus. Cocktails with a local spin are always great — just let the bartender know to adjust the ingredients to your liking since the drinks can be on the sweet side. Downside — background noise can be way too loud, making it difficult to have a conversation with others at the table.

This is my second time coming to Proa. We ordered the Seared Beef for an appetizer, the bread was a little cool. But the beef had good seasoning, and it was just the right size for two people to share. I ordered the Prime Rib Loco Moco and my wife ordered the Izumadai. The Prime Rib was nothing write home about, the star of this dish was the fried rice and that’s sad for a Prime Rib. The sauce that was all over the plate was too sweet for my liking. my wife enjoyed her actual fish, but the veggies were oily and texturally off putting. The sauce didn’t seem to go with the dish as well. It’s disappointing because our food the first time was really amazing. The shining attribute to this whole meal was our server, Ryan. He was very polite, and constantly but not annoyingly checking up on us. I would highly recommend him as a waiter! I forgot to mention the great idea they have. Most places you don’t have room for dessert after your meal; well at Proa they have a bakery right as you’re leaving. They make it really easy to pick out your dessert and take it home for later.

Went there 45 mins before closing. There were a lot tables but we had to wait 10 minites to sit. I dont know if that was the manager that told us to wait for our seats but he wasn’t pleasant. He saw us sitting there for a while and shouldve at least checked on us to see what was the problem. After waiting 10 mins for a table when there was so much available tables we finally were placed at a table near the bar. I ordered a Blue Crab Lemonade and for the price of $ 9 it wasn’t worth it at all. It didn’t even taste like lemonade. For a meal I ordered their BBQ trio platter which consists of short ribs, chicken, and spareribs. This was their recommended choice in the restuarant booklet for travelers. I ordered it to go because I felt the staff wanted us out so they can quickly clean and go home. Arriving home I was anxious to eat what I ordered. I opened it and I was quite upset. For a place that recommends their bbq it was so dry and burnt. The flavor(if any) tasted like a grill. Like they left the meat sitting on it and forgot about it. The chicken was dry and tasteless, the ribs was tasteless, and the shortribs(3 small pieces) was bland that suckling on the bone was the only way to enjoy it. The red rice was decent and the house salad looked as if it just sits in a fridge for days. Ive eaten at their tumon location and my experience was rather fair compared to the hagatna location. My overall on this is simply I would not go there again. If I do return it’s only to go to the pastry side of the restuarant side. Which was a delight. The brookie was great and the lady helping us choose the right desserts was honest and sound. The truffles for a small(really small) piece is priced at a $ 1.50. Not worth it for a small serving. So if you decide to eat there, just make sure you inspect the bbq. Avoid the Blue Crab Lemonade if youre thinking it’s going to taste anything like a lemonade. Again, be sure to inspect your bbq. As a local of Guam, I would suggest checking other places for bbq. Entirely, I wished I went across the street to have some bbq there instead.

First off, props to «Mo» for above par excellence for her customer service skills, candor and demeanor. She is the epitome of what excellent customer service stands for! She was cheerful, helpful, prompt, speedy(she always topped our Mango Iced Tea off before it was empty), and just a joy to have.(sigh)…if only everyone in Guam could take customer service lesson from«Mo.» Proa… you’ve got an awesome gal there! The highlight of my recent Guam trip was a trip to this restaurant. Unfortunately I wasn’t able to enjoy many of the places I’ve bookmarked to eat at(it was a whirlwind trip with very little time to breathe… yet alone eat). There are two Proa locations — the more popular, conveniently located Proa in Tumon and this one, tucked neatly in the corner of West Soledad Avenue(directly across the street from Chamorro Village). For starters, mango iced tea(really delicious and NOT watered down), ahi poke on top of an avocado mousse and topped with lobster fried chips was a light and airy starter to our meal. Although I would have preferred more texture to the app… the lobster chips did add another dimension to every bit. Pork two ways was a very slight fail for me since the pork tenderloin was anything but tender. It was a sad last finisher to the pork belly standout on this dish which was moist, tender, flavorful sitting pretty on the cabernet sauce. The red rice risotto was a complete surprise with it’s dimensional texture and deep, earthy and hearty flavors. I’d absolutely love to see this dish as a stand alone app or a side dish. Mango Panna Cotta atop of a lime soup… wait, what?! Weird but it worked! The creamy and distinct flavor of mango in the panna cotta followed by the refreshing flavor of lime truly complimented this dessert. The Lemongrass ice cream was underwhelming but none the less a welcomed other texture to this multi-dimensional dessert. I’d pass on the Coconut Banana Fritters — it was pretty to look at but my 11 year old niece could probably do a better job creatively with bananas, coconut flakes and chocolate swirl. What seals this visit was the excellent customer service!

Food was good for the most part but inconsistent. Short ribs were a little overdone, but chicken was perfect. Chocolate wasabi cheesecake was interesting and worth the try.

Proa was/is awesome! They get a five! It’s very welcoming and clean environment to have a more classy sit down meal. The bar area is nice and the drink selection was amazing… several beers, signature cocktails, and a wine list. The staff was friendly and accommodating. The food was very good! I ordered the bbq trio plate and it was delicious to say the least. Proa is more in the expensive side for sure, but I think it’s worth it! I highly recommend it!

The atmosphere was pleasant for a Monday afternoon. The flow of the open space was very nice with the pictures and model of the boat. The food was absolutely outstanding. I would highly recommend the PROABBQ, you can’t go wrong with anyone, I had the trio to have a taste of all three. The portions size with the rice was very generous and completely filling. The wait for the food was slightly longer then I would have liked but the taste of the food made it well worth the wait. This place is an instant favorite.

I would have to agree with another Unilocaler here and say that the price for the food is super pricey for the food that you get. But my main issue is the service! For an «upscale» joint(or a place that tries to present itself as upscale), their service seem a little lacking… When we got there, we were standing at the door for ten minutes, wondering if it was seat-your-self or if there was a hostess that was going to seat us. First bad sign. The second sign, our burgers were okay and surprisingly expensive. Also our fries were *ridiculously* salty and we had to wait QUITE A WHLE until our server came back so i could ask for a replacement. Even then, the refire for my fries took FOREVER and by the time i got them, i was already done with my food. Also, the BBQ was okay… I could probably stop by Chamorro Village on a Wednesday and get something similar or even better for a lesser price. :/And did I mention that i had to flag down the busboy so i could get my water refilled? One positive thing that I do have to say is that their dessert selection are decent. I would definitely recommend their Taro Cheesecake and Their Mango Mousse Cake. Their frappes are the usual powdered base and they’ve recently cut back on the variety of frappé flavors to choose from. Service-wise, the people behind the counter are frustratingly apathetic sometimes… It’s like they could care less if you ordered or not. The only time that they show interest is when one of their other staff members show up and they chit chat. All in all, come here if you want the upscale ambiance and the price that goes with it. Come here if you want okay food. Come here if you want some fancy cakes and desserts. DON’T come here expecting a fine dining service… or else you’ll find yourself frustrated and disappointed instead.
