Genoa Cafe

My mama is living in Ireland this fall, and she happens to live right by this place in Athlone. I was a little bit skeptical due to the interior of this place, but the food was really good! We got the curry chips & a vegetarian pizza (without pineapple, because that sounded like it’d be weird on there), and we loved it all! The vegetarian pizza has corn on it, which is totally tasty. The curry chips (an Irish favorite) are basically chips (fries if you’re American) with curry sauce on them, and are totally delicious & messy! Definitely worth checking out if you’re in Athlone. My sis says curry chips are perfect drunk food, so stop by here on your way home from Sean’s Bar or another local pub :), haha.
