Paddy Jordan’s Bar and Restaurant

On my family’s recent trip to Ireland, Ballina became my favorite town that we visited. One night we deiced to stop in to Paddy Jordan’s because I had seen it on the Irish Whiskey Trail. While the seating area may seem small, that is pretty much par for the course in Ireland, and I don’t really hold that against them. This pub looks to be more geared towards tourist, which is fine with me as that is what I was.
The Salmon I had was great (marinated in Irish Whiskey) although the serving size was a little on the small side. I ended up stealing some of my mothers chips to fill up. The Whiskey selection is top notch, and they even had a few that I had not tried before (which is rare). After dinner we enjoyed a pretty good desert including a great tasting Irish Coffee. The staff was great and very helpful, we found out our waitress was actually from the town where we were staying, and the manager was really helpful as well. Really the only knock I have was it was a little pricey, but not super pricey. Would certainly go again if I was in the area.

Had dinner here three times while staying in Ballina. Food was excellent. Lot’s of locally made meat and fish. Prices were reasonable as well. Don’t be afraid to try the Indian are either as the chef is Indian.
