Excellent cocktail menu. Love the espresso martini– tastes and smells delicious. I usually get their soup of the day or the seafood chowder– both are consistently good. Hearty and filling, served nice & warm with a side of bread. Especially delicious in the cooler weather. Service has always been great, both while seated at the bar or at a table. The bartenders have always been friendly and happy to answer questions and make recommendations. The Bridge is quickly becoming my go to spot in the neighborhood.

Starving after the Holiday World Show(they didn’t have any food freebies and only crap food in the show room) we stopped in The Bridge for some food. They had a lovely brunch menu but it was afternoon by the time we got there so lots of meat options were already sold out. We ordered granola and coffee. The service was friendly and prompt. The granola was nice although I could’ve done with more yogurt and fruit. Overall I really liked the place and I will come back for a drink. It is rather dark inside which to me suggests going for drinks more so than food. But then I heard that the clever people of The Bridge will be serving vodka sorbets as deserts on Good Friday. Respect, that’s very, very clever indeed!

Very good pub/restaurant in the Ballsbridge area. I kinda pf packed during lunchtime on weekends but they have plenty of seat upstairs. The menu is quite short because it is a brunch menu — but the food is great. I love their steak & eggs. Pulled pork is also good and it is big — you better be hungry. They serve Pilsner Urquell on tap, something that I always enjoy. The inside is a kinda of dark — some people would call it cozy but sometimes I can’t see properly what’s on my plate haha(my eyes, maybe…) Anyway, hipsters waiters work quick and are always in a good mood.

Thanks to The Bridge 1859, I had a lovely Birthday Brunch celebration with some dear friends. The beautiful food was made to accommodate all of our various food allergies. The staff were very helpful and nice. We will be back ! :)

Located near RDS and right across the Ballsbridge bridge, The Bridge is a nice pub with good food and interesting beer. They have a big tank of Pilsner Urquel delivered weekly and the constant refreshing means they can store it unpasteurized. The beer is good, and served in an immense glass, but not noticeably different from the normal draft version. The entrance is a bit cramped and there is really no place to stand while waiting. We were also quoted a less than 5 minute wait but it took nearly 30. In fairness, they were quite packed and even had to move a couch for us to accommodate our three person party. The sandwich special was pretty good with nice crispy bread, tastefully seasoned meat, and thinly sliced chips. The chips were a bit under seasoned though.

The barman with the beard completely ignored us. We ordered a jack daniels and coke and waited and waited… after 10 minutes we asked again and the barman finally delivered. Poor service. Every second person at the bar got their change in coins when it was at least 10 euro.

Came here for a few brews right before a game. The setting was very nice, the low lights really represented the quaint environment and there was ample standing room. Service was quick but I can’t comment on much else due to the short time spent there.

6 people ate, 3 people were happyish, 3 weren’t. My veggie dish was a nice concept but poorly executed, it wasn’t well — seasoned and the salad needed a better dressing. Chicken roulade looked and apparently tasted bland. The 2 burger eaters were happy as was the person who had a salad. And our cocktail jugs arrived looking lovely but with ice loaded over the top of the rim so when you poured it it went all over the table and out laps. Had to get the waiter to pour it and he ended up having to go get a spoon and glass to take ice out. I won’t be coming back here, I wasn’t impressed with the food or the service which was intermittent and lacklustre.

Only visited for drinks. Nice bar. Great area. Did not have food but did see other patrons tucking in to what looked like well presented fair. Draught beers all tasted a bit odd to me and the service was just OK. If I were in the area again I might pop in but wouldn’t make a special trip… Oh. For a guys bathroom they actually put some attention in the design cool !!

An excellent pub, The Bridge 1859 — formerly known as Bellamy’s –manages to combine the best features of a traditional Irish pub(hospitality, warmth, cosiness) with some very innovative new bar trends(unpasteurised Pilsner beer from a copper tank, a proper made to order cocktail list, good craft beer range) together in a seamless fit. The bar food is delicious, especially their chicken wings and its all reasonable priced. The staff are efficient, friendly and obviously know their jobs well. All in all a great little pub. Also, The Bridge is well known for being packed to the rafters on match days and they won’t keep seats or reserve areas for anyone on those days so be aware of that if you plan on dropping in on the way to a game.

Went here for lunch and had good tasty food! We shared chicken wings to start and both had the slow roasted pulled pork with chips after. The lunch was really good, the service was good and it’s a cool new addition to Ballsbridge!

I totally dig this pub. At first glance you’d think its like any other standard pub… But upon further inspection there’s so much more. There’s 2?(3?) floors and the cocktail list is AMAZING. i just had one cocktail but. The measures are generous. Yes it cost € 14 but it’s served in a goblet my fist could fit in. It tasted great and I can’t wait to go back to try some more of their inventive creations… And brunch. I want some of that too. And btw boys, this place is crawling with Cougars upstairs!

This is a most excellent pub! Dropped in for a spot of lunch on a Saturday, was busy enough, we ended up sitting upstairs in a smaller area, would be perfect for a private function. The whole pub has a nice warm feeling about it. Food menu is simple but great, really good variety and the prices are spot on for pub grub. the food its self was very tasty and it came out to us on time. I’ll most likely be back for more.

The latest hotspot to open in dublin. Brought to us by the Grafton lounge and a bunch of Leinster boys. A definite improvement on Bellamys that had been here for the last million years and they have made a real effort — Will be interesting to get a look at the place when the initial crowd has subsided
