Having not been on a horse since I was 11 years old, with a full day to myself in Dingle & Dingle Horse Riding only a short 15 minute walk from the nearby Castlewood Inn, I was very eager to reconnect with that particular period of my youth with a morning trot high up in the mountains of Dingle. I arrived quite early, & it being October, after the tourist season, I was the only person there for a ride. After suiting up in boots & a helmet, & meeting my horse, named Captain, I enjoyed a leisurely stroll, led by my guide, as we navigated the trail for just over an hour. As stated, I hadn’t been on a horse in many years, but with just a bit of guidance, it was easy, Captain was well-behaved, although he did test me once or twice & dropped a deuce mid-road, but overall, it was a marvelous experience with some spectacular views. I’d definitely recommend it.

Ride em’ Cowgirl! AWESOME Place! I try to go horseback riding in every country I go to! Sometimes it is easier than others! This was one of the EASY times! I LOVEHORSE so this was right up my alley! My friend and I stopped in Dingle for a few days to rest up from driving all around Ireland! SO I thought hmmm Noe’s the perfect time to go horseback riding! Plus We had both did a little research because we left home so we knew this place existed! Before we set out on our journey we asked a few people in town to make sure this place was good and it was so we were off! After driving all around Ireland(my friend was driving and I was the navigator) navigating the roads and maps were pretty easy for us at this point so we found it fairly easy following the directions on the website and our own Atlas map book of Ireland! This place was really awesome! They have several horses and rider’s you can do! Since Dingle is near the water you can do a ocean ride which is VERYCOOL but we had both done it before so we chose to do the countryside ride. There were other people on our trip which made for more fun! They provided boots and riding hats and the horses of course! The price was VERYREASONABLE and since we were galloping we were able to get GREATPICS of the countryside in Ireland! We had one or two guides I can’t remember, lead us all along different trails lined with these yellow thorny flowers that border all the acres of land to help keep the sheep inside! The ONLY reason I remember that the flowers were yellow was because there were bees(that I am highly allergic too) on them flying around and FREAKING me out! I was so afraid I was going to get stung and go into anaphylactic shock 30,000 plus miles away from home and I didn’t see any medical center, urgent care, or hospital in the sleepy Dingle town! It was a GORGEOUSDAY! We must have brought the sunshine with us from California! Sadly our ride came to an end and we were back at the stables. NO mishaps with any horses or riders! IT was just a REALLYAWESOMERIDE! The guides were great at pointing out things and taking us to what seemed like the top of a mountain so we could see the sea/ocean and the town below! The staff was VERYFRIENDLY and KNOWLEDGEABLE! They were very careful of which horse they put people on to make sure everyone was comfortable! They have horses for kids and adults so everyone can find their comfort level before you take off on your ride! It’s a PERFECTPLACEFORKIDS and FAMILIES! I REALLYENJOYED my ride and would come back AGAIN! THEBESTEXPERIENCEEVVVAAA!
