Walcot Bed & Breakfast

We accidentally stumbled over this Bed & Breakfast, when trying to find a accommodation for the day. To see what this B’n B is about I firstly walked down the drive way, where I met the hostel farther. He was very friendly and open hearted, when I asked for shelter for the night.
He showed me to the rooms as he needed to go shopping. I was caught at first sight already when we entered the hall way. Decorated in the style of the late 18 hundred I was stunned and speechless of such beauty.
In terms of the accommodation, the rooms where big and clean with a nicely renovated bathroom and shower cabin.
The breakfast was included in the price for the chamber and even complementary Internet access, tee, coffee, water, and a cold milk for the oreos where no trouble at all.
Back to the breakfast, we order continental, but there was also a traditional irish on the menu. Nevertheless you coukd get what ever you want despite the combinations and flavors. They had fresh fruit salad, warm croissants, a nice choice of cereals, jam, cheese, and you could order cooked breakfast of your favor; all done in separate, fresh and with a personal touch. Brilliant!
A long story short, if you are in Birr, Co. Offaly, and want to spend the night this is the place to be.
