Takeaway and pizza delivery place, though I believe it does have some seating on the upper floor(never went up there TBH). Pizza is OK, nothing really special. It’s somewhat better than what you’d get in Dominos, which would be their main competitor, but not by much. They have a good menu beyond pizzas. The buffalo wings are quite good and are the best I’ve tried in Ireland. The garlic bread is decent.

Candidly, I really like this place. The garlic bread with cheese managed to be the right balance between crispy crust and soft bread. The pizza itself was decent enough too, very tasty. The star of the show is the garlic dip though to be honest. And yes, you get a free portion with every pizza. But you’re anything like me, you might want to order another garlic dip. Just in case. I ordered via and I didn’t have much problems with delivery either, prompt and on time. This place is going to become a regular on my takeaway rota.

Had heard good things about Firehouse but they were a huge disappointment. Firstly, I tried to order online but it seems you can’t register unless you do so with your Twitter, Facebook or Google account. Ok, let’s use google. Now they want access to all my contacts! No. Now you can’t register at all. Give your contacts or no registration. Bit cheeky for a pizza place. So I call and order 2 pizzas for collection. One gluten free one thin crust. No issues with collection or payment. Told them of my registering woes but nobody cared. The wrong pizza was flagged as GF!!! Now, I ordered it just to try not because I have a medical condition. This is an unforgivable error in my opinion. Someone could have been very ill if they had eaten the wrong thing. There is an alarming amount of chicken based pizzas on their menu. I got the butchers block and the towering inferno. Butchers block went almost entirely to the bin. This pizza was extremely sweet, dry and it looked like half the base had been picked at by some hungry employee. Towering inferno was marginally better but still overly sweet. Very disappointing. There are far superior pizzas available in the area

New pizza take away place in Booterstown so of course we checked it out :-) Could see this place being worked on over the past few months, delighted they’ve finally opened their doors. You can order over the phone plus their website has an order option so it’s quick and easy, I decided to drive down and check it out. They’ve got the firehouse theme splashed across the walls and have to say, love the cinema seating in the waiting area(I’m all about quirky fixtures). Usual array of options on the menu or ye can do the usual and create your own pizza from their available toppings. I had the Butchers Block; yep, full on meaty toppings and it was super nice. My hubby ordered the FireHouse which mmm… I felt wasn’t as flavoursome but yet, hey… whatever floats your pizza boat ;-) Haven’t used their delivery service nor did I have the experience of follow Unilocaler Q so maybe all is not lost. They are only recently opened so perhaps they are teasing out some problems anyways, I’ll definitely be ordering again when pizza takes my fancy.

In a past life, some 20 years ago, I worked here… not for Firehouse pizza but in an Italian restaurant called LaTavola, I loved it. So when a new pizzeria opened in the same premises i couldn’t resist a revisit, Here’s the time line: * 8:00pm arrive in * 8:12m order & pay for pizza(«that will be 15 mins») * 8:29pm Q gets a little vocal(«erm… any chance of those pizzas?») …the reply is «yeah yeah, they are just coming out of the oven now…» * 8.40pm Q loses the rag, demands money back * I am told they can’t refund me until tomorrow * Q loses further rags * 10 mins later someone works out how to do a refund on a credit card * The pizzas arrive, Q tells them where to stick their pizzas * Credit card refund complete, we exit. …in the interest if full disclosure, wifey did request a change to the base of her pizza, which would have delayed the order by a few mins, but not that much, See, you can’t screw around with hungry short fat balding men, you really can’t. Look, I have written over one thousand reviews on Unilocal,I have awarded the one star just 11 times. I don’t do it lightly but this was without question, one of the poorest experiences I have had in any shop, I was doubly disappointed as I was looking forward to a revisit to an old haunt. So, there you go, no idea what the pizza tastes like, communications and service were f&%$(ng awful.
