Ten euro for a tiny can(200ml or maybe less) of compressed air to clean out a pc fan. Utterly insane. Stay away. Rip off merchants. I miss Frys Electronics. Currys just sells really low end junk at ridiculous prices. I spotted a computer with an i3 cpu for over 700 euro… an i3 is the ultimate ‘economy’ cpu.

PC World is the best place in Ireland to buy computer gear. They by far are cheaper than any of their competitors. They have a great selection and nine out of ten times will always have what you need in stock. This location in particular is very good for having what you need and the staff are always happy to assist.

I knew what I wanted which was some Microsoft software but it was still hard to find and also to know what the price was. The guy serving me was okay but he had to go off and price it and in fact told me the wrong price to start with. I had thank goodness checked the price before on line. The place is bright and big but somehow badly laid out and the staff may need more training — I could have been unlucky with my chap. I will try and avoid this place in the future but I would use their website to get an idea of prices.

I was in this PC world looking for a new home computer for my Dad… we found what we wanted… banged out a deal with the guy… politely refused all the extra«deals» they had on insurence and the like… then it turned out they were out of stock… we were in a bit of a rush so we headed out to Navan to pick up one from their store there… we entered the store in Navan… It was exactly the same! I mean exactly… nearly even the guy who served us was the same! I was a little freaked. so if you have been in PC world in Navan you have been in this pc world… they selll lots of other stuff too and you may find yourself picking up lots of useless gadgets for your PC so be carefull

In any of my dealings with PC World, I have only good things to report. I found the staff extremely helpful at guiding me through the technological jungle that is the world of computers. They really know their stuff and can break down the megabytes and the gigabytes into palatable pieces for technophobes such as myself. Yes, they are sales people, so don’t be persuaded into buying all the software they suggest if you think you don’t need it. But they do spend time with you teasing out exactly what you need in a computer — just don’t be afraid to stick to your guns and get a good deal. They have a wide selection so you should walk away a happy customer.
