We booked a room at this little B&B to get away from it all for a few days and boy did we pick a winner. Located on the Loop Head penninsula in beautiful County Clare this B&B is run by Mary Aston, wife of fishing Captain Luke Aston. I hesitate to call it a fishing camp because that term can mean so many things but this place is top notch. We had some of the best breakfasts on our trip in Mary’s dining room. The minimalistic approach to furnishings was nice, the shower was great, and the guest lounge with cable TV, pool table, a fireplace, and a little«honor» snack bar was a nice homey touch. Mary and Luke can give you some of the best advice on the penninsula regarding things to do and there is plenty to see here. Prices are right and they may even give you a discount if you stay a few days. Oh yeah — before I forget — the view from our room was coastal plains with the open water clearly visible from the window. And they farm — so you may get to see cows and Luke and Mary working. I bet they’ll let you help if you ask. LOL.
