What a rip off. € 7.90 for two mocha lattes!!! I nearly died. No cakes, no add ons nothing! The place was filthy, service was sloppy and slow and the barista machine which was in clear view was manky full of coffee and black stains. The coffee was nice but id get the same kind for cheaper in other small cafes. Wont be back again.

I know the coffee is pricey, but when was the last time you ordered an alcoholic beverage a little above what you’d like to be forking over? if you’re splurging on you, friend time, family, or someone you love… it’s worth it. See what I did there? Why not treat yourself? You deserve it! And now that Costa has these cute seasonal cups for the holidays, you can’t resist! I am usually simple with my coffee– americano or just plain black. But I don’t want to drink coffee that tastes like dirt. For me, coffee is sacred and I want to enjoy it. There are some holiday drinks that have caught my eye, and I recently had the gingerbread latte. The presentation was perfect, but the coffee only so so. It tasted like cream and sugar, but I unfortunately could barely taste the coffee. That’s probably because I am used to such stronger coffee and had to give it some slack for the upped sugar and milk add ons. The atmosphere and business do remind me of Starbucks, but because its less mega-billion chain man, I have a bit less coffee guilt. That’s not to rip on Starbs, because I’ve shared many hard earned notes with them too. I just want good coffee that also helps support the coffee guys– not coffee kings. That’s my effort at least. Other good mentions: The cakes, pastries, and sambos always look fresh and tasty from the display case. The service is friendly and prompt. I think the store is kept clean and respectable. You can do takeaway or sit and relax. And I’ve heard mention they have a bar service here? THAT is interesting… yes? Well there’s my review/soap box on that! Give ‘em a try! You will probably be glad you did!

Yeah its a Costa, but its probably the best place for a bit of tea and chat in the madness of Liffey Vally. Even when its busy it has this air of calm. Hot beverages and food are pretty much on a par with every other Costa, and the price is not cheap… but the carrot cake is good, so just have some!
